What a joke
I just purchased my pioneer platform from auto barn two days before going on a much needed break from work as auto barn didn’t have the staff to fit the rhino product I opted to fit my self every thing was steaming along perfect until I realised that the m6 bolts are to short with the 5mm space er kit needed to fit on Suzuki Grand Vitara as time got away from me we had to leave without the rack that’s set me back $988 plus rod holders another 196 each needed 2 off them my sons new fishing rod had to stay behind to

Terrible customer service Nowra
Asked about different types of belts for car. The worker didn't try to help at all. He stated that I needed to know the exact details and if I didn't that he couldn't help me. he didn't look up my car on the system or in the manuals or anything.

Very Rude Store Owner - Autobarn Hoppers Crossing
I had purchased a roof rack for over $1k which I had paid 50% deposit and had an agreement to pay the remainder upon completion of the installation. The booking for the installation was at 4pm on 29/05/18.
Once the car had been delivered to Autobarn's workshop for installation, I had waited for an hour and a half until 2 staff members approached me requesting to pay the remainder balance of the roof rack cost even though the works had not been completed. " for the day as it was almost 5:30pm. I refused to pay the remainder balance of the roof rack as I had an agreement to pay only after I was satisfied with the end result. The staff could not confirm whether the car was finished nor how long further it will take to complete. During this time the store had closed its doors at 5:30pm. At about 5:45pm the owner of Autobarn Hoppers Crossing, Linda made her way to me asking me to pay up for her to close the till in a very confronting manner. Once again I have refused to pay as I had not yet seen my car. At this point in time Linda has decided to raise her voice and passive aggressively force me to pay by saying that I, as a customer would have to pay for the overtime of her staff if we don't pay up because the till had not been closed. She also threatened to give my car back to me unfinished if I did not pay the remainder balance. I would not recommend this store at all. Excellent Service
I went to a competitor across the road to buy a common part. As usual for that store, it was out of stock, and the staff there seemed disinterested.
I went to the Hoppers Crossing Autobarn store and was served immediately by a helpful staff member who found exactly what I was looking for, at the same price as the disinterested competitor...

Ignorant of the most basic parts, no stock, expensive.
I rang three stores and after I repeated the part number three times, I was told no stock, over a week to order in and over twice the price of other suppliers. The ignorance of the staff is frightening. I assume they pay little per hour because their staff are ignorant of the basic mechanical operations. I wanted O2 sensors, which are a basic service part, like a filter or any other sensor. I had to explain everything and ask how do I order, how long, how much etc etc. I normally wouldn't say this, but buy from ebay for $50 delivered, genuine Bosch parts & save yourself the headache.

Had Running lights and Headlight globes fitted today, And Aaron the fitter was great at his job. But that was it... Staff members Murray and Jarrod that took my payment of $280 did not ask if I had a Velocity card. I only found out about it tonight when I was going to provide a great review That's 560 points I have missed out on. Not Happy Autobarn.

Good service. A bit of trouble exchanging something outside the 14 day window but the manager Justin was very good and sorted it out for me. Nice to see a company that tries to listen to customer concerns and improve

Thoughtless Comment By A Staff Member
I was restoring a car so spent a lot of time perusing the shelves for bits and pieces throughout the rebuild period. The owner I assume was very helpful especially when I had to match paint colours, ( Autobarn Capalaba do colour matching and put into pressurized spray cans) Excellent, highly recommend. A family member was told by one of the staff I come into the shop but don't buy anything, up until then I was purchasing oils, filters,brake pads, rotors etc as I had three family cars to service, so now I tend to avoid going there and patronise the other two auto business's close by. One negative thoughtless comment, such a pity

Worst service ever
I went into Autobarn Moonah to purchase a can of paint.
Whilst I was walking around trying to find it not once did a staff member offer to help.
Once I finally did find what I was looking for I went to the counter. Terrible returns from one store
I recently had a return because of a faulty item and the owner was more than displeased because i bought it from another Auto barn. Then when i purchased some sand paper they over charged me by $2 and he got even more wound up. Saying its not worth the paper work and how much did he owe me. I'll never shop there again its not worth the hassle over $40. Also want to add the the 2 employees were nice the man and the girl just the owner had a problem.

Bad service and poor maintenance of car batteries
I went in-store looking for a car battery and because i have dark skin there was no customer service and the people there saw i was having problems looking for something and as soon as i approached them they seen me coming and walked off the other way and i have recently been in a accident at work so i am on a walking stick and leg braces so i was not as quick as them and then struggled for another 20 minutes to find the battery i want but i noticed that all the batteries were completely flat with the ( HYDRO EYE ) either completely red, bla...Read more
ck or just blank but i found one that had about 2% charged going by the hydro eye on the battery . I went back out to the car and took a multi-meter in and it came up as 11 volts and i because i was stuck and needed a battery there and then i didn't have much of a choice and super-cheap didn't have any to suit my car so i hoped it would be right and it would charge up on the way home. i struggled to get it to the counter and as i was trying to ask the staff about free battery fitment they cut me off and said to the people behind me they wont be long sorry about the wait ????? Well so much for any help there so i had to carry 23 kilos of battery out to the car on a walking stick and leg braces and when i looked up on the sign it had free help with battery replacement !!! Money is still the same why cant be the service??. I was very disheartened by the service there. So i put it in and didn't have enough charge to start the car, luckily it is a manual and i was on a slope so i got to clutch start it. Battery replacement
I purchased a new battery with a three year warranty. It failed after nearly two years. I brought it back and they tested it overnight. Rang me to advise battery was faulty and to come in and pick up brand new replacement battery at no cost. Excellent service and very professional.

Misleading statement about price matching
On their website they said they do price match, but they refused to match the price i found from another local shop. They start to making excuses and offered discount instead. So they use price match to attract people to their shop and using discount to make people to purchase by offering partial discount. The sales person said, do you want to drive all the way to the other shop to save this $15? This is really bad strategy. You get the sales but made me write very first bad review.
Price i found from Eastern Battery - $133
Autobarn price - $175
purchased price after discount - $148
Complaint made to the company, someone said they will investigate but nothing happened after 2 weeks.

Returned product
I purchased some window tint for my motorhome. It was a really bad product with wrinkles and when you pulled the backing off some of the colour came out. When i returned it i was made to feel like a criminal. They have taken the roll back and no refund was given they said the manager would call me with still no reply. I will never shop there again.

Excellent customer focus and support
I have bought a number of items from the Mackay North Autobarn store and found the service to be excellent. I am very pleased with the involvement of staff in trying to get the equipment working correctly while we have had some difficulties with the supplied equipment. They are persistent and courteous - particularly Nigel and David who have principally followed up on concerns with the supplier. In a separate incident, I mistakenly believed that I had been supplied the wrong filter which turned out to be correct but the commitment from the manager of the store was first rate and excellent. I would recommend people give them a go and work through any concerns with patience because they will try to do the right thing by you.

Fantastic customer service
This store is run by married couple Naomi and Scott and by example all of their employees are polite and very helpful. Their knowledge of the products they stock is vast and nothing is to much trouble.
I had just brought my 1St car and as a mature age learner found their service great when I have been into the store to buy things for my Subaru. They were great at helping me get back seat cover custom made and they were very good at letting me know when my items arrived.
I couldn't recommend this store any more highly and they are great ambassadors for Autobahn.

A product that does what it claims
California original aluminium deoxidiser and purple polish will do what the yu tube videos show. Yes still a lot of movement but no hard scrubbing. Cost is high but minimal use still gives a brilliant result. I bought a 2011 tent camper trailer that had never been polished. The rear tailgate sooobright now. You’re checker plate will look so good even if you have looked after it before. A product that actually works. By the way I have only commented 5 times on anything and that means Facebook. Bought instore and service excellent by Harley who was interested how it goes.
