Penrith..Terrible customer service
Purchased a drying chamois few days ago, tried but the product was useless.Took it back to Penrith store to get it changed but the sales person said they can't do anything. However in receipt it clearly says they can exchange or refund with in 14 days.As I used to buy all accessories from this store I requested for a credit voucher where I can purchase something in in future. The sales guy was very rude and negative. Finally his manager agreed to give a refund and I asked for the receipt after getting the money as I had purchased many items with ...Read more
this chamois and all were in this receipt. The sales guy threw the receipt back at me as I was someone who was begging for something. It was very rude and unfriendly.NEVER try this store again.Message to Autobarn management "Bad PR & loosing loyal customers would not do any good for your business in the long run "Similar opinion? Customer Service
Their staff are way too pushy and over-confident. I know a fair bit about my car and I usually research online to find out what I need or to find out which product will be most suitable, then I search to find a retail outlet that sells it and I go there to buy it. Whenever I have to go to Autobarn to buy something I have to put up with "friendly helpful" staff who try to tell me what to buy. To me it goes beyond helpful and goes to the point where they flat-out tell me what to buy and what not to buy. If I didn't know much about my car and I wa...Read more
s a bit clueless and wanted help it would probably come across as helpful and their confidence would seem reassuring but sometimes I know that what they're telling me is nonsense and I really don't like being spoken to like they know more about my car than I do. ieatwords require me to put in which store I shopped at but I've found this behaviour of their staff to be common among all stores.Similar opinion? Discourteous blunt service
Online order 20015199 - on picking up this order I was served by a polite las at recreation area and referred to pick up area where a rough looking man in his 30s then served me - he was blunt rough and discourteous. He pretty well ignored everything I said and slowly processed my order. I had some questions regarding my order and with reluctance he attempted to research my questions but lapsed into totally ignoring my comments I made to assist the enquiry - I had paid for the order online but he asked for my credit card details to recharge me but then saw the PayPal payment - the whole experience was off putting making this the last purchase from capalaba shop.

Autobarn Auburn Store, Rude and Poor Customer Service
Purchased Online Battery, reached Autobarn-Auburn NSW Store to Collect the Battery. The Store Attendant/Manager wearing Glasses has very poor customer service. Not at all known how to serve customer. Asked me roughly to go to the back of the store and pick the battery. When i asked for installation of this battery, he asked me to take the battery to your car in rough tone. I didn't object, as i was possibly too nice to such jerks.
While installation he said doctor advised to not to lift battery. I was nice enough to help him in lifting old b...Read more
attery and putting in the new battery. I did more than half of his job and paid him as well for the installation charges and on the top he didn't say thanks for helping him out in unscrewing the old battery and the battery cover etc. Such a rude rough people employed by Autobarn, Such a shame... Edit - Just Noticed The Guy didn't even bothered to screw the Bonnet-Flap back into place. i screwed one end for him and the lazy jerk didn't bothered to screw the other end and left the screw hanging. I had to stop the car on the way to find the noisy flap.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Customer service
I usually don't have time for writing reviews but these bunch definitely deserve one. I visited the store to install a radio for my rav4 . Job was done but they could not connect the reverse camera. David promised to arrange for the connector and connect the reverse camera. I waited and waited then visited the store in person twice. Both times I was promised a call back. They took the details and nothing. Don't promise if you can't deliver! Childish behaviour, that is all they demonstrate . Don't expect professionalism, they act like they want to be mature but they are not. Grow up! Get some training .

Outstanding Consistent Service
I have been dealing with Autobarn Airport West and the team since commencing a restoration project (FJ40). Every time I go into the store the level of service is such a high standard, product knowledge is excellent assuring you purchase is correct. What is important is this is not a one off and occurs every time. Great place to shop. Thanks AB team.

What great service.
I had to buy a plastic rego plate protector for my car. Chris said I should check to make sure it was the right size. I asked him how to fit it and as he was explaining it to me, he said he had enough time to do it for me! I did not expect that. He works at the Doncaster store in Melbourne.
Such fantastic service beyond what is expected!!

Autobarn Stock Faulty LED Brake Lights and won't replace or refund
Autobarn knowingly Sells Faulty LED Brake lights for a whopping $54 a pack of two - these are defective and HIGHLY DANGEROUS - we have bought two sets both have failed and Autobarn REFUSE to replace knowing defective safety equipment without a receipt. Autobarn are the only stockists of this product in Australia. We have a 9 month old girl in a baby seat and Autobahn seem to think its OK to drive arround without brake lights to refuse to replace them allowing us to risk a serious accident and police fine despite knowingly selling faulty products. Dear Autobarn these are brake lights and complaints should be taken seriously.

Hopeless!
Went into buy some gas struts for my boot, the guy behind the counter couldn't be bothered serving me, couldn't even be bothered looking at me, too busy doodling on his note pad, was just left standing there for abt 5 minutes waiting, I go up to the bloke behind the counter and ask him if they have any in stock for my model, looks on his computer and says they don't, still hasn't even looked at me and made eye contact. Didn't even ask if I wanted to order any, just the worst customer service ever, never going back.

Not happy - walked out of shop.
Found my wiper blades but display box contents mixed up. Salesperson said will serve current customer and then you but stayed talking to other staff at counter. Too much local competition to ignore customers.

Absolutely terrible service - blanatly refused to exchange a brand new car battery that was faulty
Brought a brand new car battery on Sunday 1 October 2017, installed in car, car was fine for the afternoon. On Monday 2 October 2017, car was COMPLETELY dead. Had to call lube mobile mechanics, who tested the battery, completing various diagnostic voltage tests and found it was faulty as when the car was turned on, the battery was losing voltage ( went from 1400 volts descending down to 700 volts). Rang blacktown store and told the staff memebre who answered the phone what had happened, the date memebr replied " it's his word against ou...Read more
rs" verbatim ( exact words ) I said we will bring the battery I. And I want to exchange it for a new battery . Got to the store, a lady ( manager) tested the battery with their "instrument" and said there is nothing wrong. The mechanic explained what diagnostic testes he carried out and said it was in fact faulty. A male staff member came over and said to leave the battery with them for further testing and REFUSED to listing to what the mechanic said and kept saying our machine says it's not faulty. I said Why would I buy a new battery say it's faulty pay a mechanic to come out and then have to take the battery back to the store if there was nothing wrong with the battery in the first place? By this stage I was yelling and screaming as both the female and male staff were blanatly refusing to excahange the battery and their was no offer of a refund. I asked to see the written store policy and procedures on exchange of items as per the Australian consumer trade guidelines, but NOT SUPRISINGLY neither of the 2 staff members could show me . I asked to speak to the area manager, however my request was refused . As I was screaming and yelling the staff then threatened to call the police, I said call them I am not leaving until the battery is replaced . Both the female and male staff members then said we will have you removed from the store, again I said I will not be leaving the store ( well screaming ) until I get an exchange . Eventually after about 20 mins of screaming and yelling and refusing to leave the store, the male staff member gave me my $$ back and said just get out of the store . Notes: the battery cost $175- the battery was in deed faulty ( a new battery was installed by the lube mobile mechanic and I have had absolutely NO issues) - No staff member was able to show me the stores written policy and procedures FACT- the store was in actual fact in breach of their responsibilities to exchange the good purchased according to the ACCC ( Australian competition and consumer competition) For all the unhappy customers that have had the unfortunate contact as a customer with any AUTOBARN stores you can lodge a COMPLIANT with (Australian Competition and Consumer Competition) FOR YOUR CONSUMER RIGHTS - as per the Australian competition and Consumer Competition, it states " you have the right to a repair, replacement or refund if your goods are faulty, do not work or appear advised they should. You have the right to a repair, compensation or refund, if the services you received are not right " I WILL NEVER EVER buy anything rom Autobarn againSimilar opinion? Never had such crap service!!
Been a loyal costumer but after being told we have an attitude because we are having faults with car audio bought 3 months ago and wanting it tested. Apparently they “are done with us”. So be it Autobarn Hoppers Crossing. I’ve gotten better service in a 3rd world country but be doomed if you question them, because they “know best”. Bloody joke.

Don't ever go to Autobarn Ascot Vale
In the afternoon, I went there and asked for the Bluetooth model(the $50 dollars one which plugs in at the cigarette hole) and they said they didn't have something like that, they only got the bluetooth which cost 200$ something, they suggest me to change the unithead instead because it's cost 179$ + the install cost 120. So I paid for that then make a booking the next day at 2.00 pm. Then on that day around 5pm my friend came to my house and asked if i bought the Bluetooth then I told him that there's no bluetooth model, he was so confident th...Read more
at they are exist. So he took me to another shop and got me the Bluetooth model. The price was 45$. but it's 7 pm already I tried to call Auto barn but they're closed. So I searched up that the shop opens at 9 am so I went there at 9.20 am as early as possible to cancel the booking and get the refund. When I was there to tell all of these stories. He said that can only make the refund for the headunit but not the installing because at the end of the day he still need to pay his staff for that. I was like but I came 5 hours before the appointment time why can't it be cancelled?. He said he has to pay his staff for bringing his staff in. I also asked are there any customer that having your installer today? He said "yes" . So this means that his staff earn about 400-500$ per day? Because if there is one customer asked him to install something that means he earns 120$ straight away and even the customer booked and cancel 5 hours early before the appointment time, he still earn the money?. So disappointing! And the boss reaction was so rude like no customers service. If you can't make the refund or really can't make the refund just say it nicely or try to fix this in other way not walking away when I haven't finished my words.Similar opinion? Very Helpful
I never give reviews but when someone offers you great service they deserve a great review. A very helpful man who assisted me in finding the product needed in-store. Even pointed out the differently priced products to give me a choice between paying more or less, without encouraging me to feel I had to buy the more expensive brand. I was not pushed into buying the larger products, telling me honestly that I would not need so much. It was great to have an honest person. His knowledge of the products was great and even came out to my car to ensure I was buying the correct product when I was a little unsure.
