Excellent service
We live in Qld and had ordered a baby car capsule through another baby shop months before my due date. Other baby shop could not provide seat by due date and with 2 weeks to spare were desperate. My husband rang one of the stores down in Vic. The lady was very helpful and said they had the exact one I needed and would put it aside. My husband ordered and paid online and it was given to courier 2 days later. We received it in less then a week up here in QLD. Very happy with their prompt delivery!!!!

Terrible customer service at Knox store
To cut a long story short, I would not waste your time and or money with Babyco. Their returns policy is unreasonable. Staff are the rudest I have come bye, and are clearly not mothers. Just a bunch of young girls with no idea and no sense of customer service.

Great customer service
Thank you to the exceptional customer service from [name removed] at the Springvale Homecentre.
Buying prams and cots etc can be a little overwhelming for a new Mum so I was lucky to be dealing with [name removed] who recommended the SteelCraft Strider pram and she demonstrated putting it together and all the features it has. She then took me through the cots etc. I left the store feeling extremely relieved and so happy with my purchases!!
It was great to deal with someone who still offers great service.
Once again Thank you!
Fantastic customer service

Terrible Customer Service
I have to write to advise everyone of the terrible customer service provided by the misleading and lazy staff at bayby co springvale at the ikea centre.i purchased an accessory for a breast pump and was informed that it could be returned within 2 weeks but when i discovered the part was wrong and wanted to exchange it was told it could not be returned despite being in the original packaging and and in the sealed bag. [name removed] the "sales" person and [name removed] the "manager" have absolutely no idea about customer service. I needed help ...Read more
with other products and when they did not have some of them made no effort to explore other options. Seeing as the store is new and empty of customers i would have thought they would bend over backwards to help, not have their backs to customers and surfing the net !! My new mountain buggy and cot will definitely be purchased elsewhere. Terrible customer serviceSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Would agree with everything in the previous 2 reviews. Had terrible trouble with the state manager and never got our product. Look at the review 3 down written by bchr. When the state manager wouldn't answer our phone calls we were given the following e-mail address by the warehouse manager [email protected] Funny coincidence that the writer below who says such nice things is called bchr. lol. Hello babyco state manager. lol
Would agree exactly with the comments in the previous 2 reviews.

I would not purchase anything from BabyCo ever again. The Beema pram is great but there are plenty of other great prams out there that don't involve the hassle. I ordered the pram in Jan 2009 and didn't receive it until July 2009 (after my baby was born!!!) I tried to get a refund and buy a pram from elsewhere but they wouldn't give my cash back because they said they don't hold cash in the store. Funny how they were willing to take my cash though! They told me I had to fill in a form with my bank details and it would get sent interstate to hea...Read more
d office where they would process it and it would take a few weeks!!! The staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful. I called consumer affairs who said that if I paid by cash then they had to refund me with cash but they did not care when I told them this. Also, speaking to the state manager was a complete waste of time. I have heard tht BabyCo is going broke which is no surprise if they conduct business in this way. Beema Pram Happy to take your money for laybys but don't deliver product when they say they willSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I recently went into their campbelltown branch and was served by a older lady who was wonderfull nothing was too much trouble from taking a number of carseats out to my my car to see if they fitted to showing me in detail a large number of prams i found her product knowledge to be excellent. I purchased a large number of items on layby (6 mnths!) And received a call 2 wks later from the same women to let me know my stock had arrived.the name on my layby docket of the assistant says lorraine and i would not hesitate to tell people to go to Babyco for great service.
outstanding willingness to help and answer all my questions wonderfull product knowledge and a very caring and happy attitude to their customers

I placed a cot and change table on layby June. For the whole month of August I repeatedly called the Maribyrnong store wanting to pay the balance of my layby and collect the goods. The staff at the store were unable to tell me when my goods would be available, other than "sometime in September". Then I find out, by chance from a fried, that Babyco is now in receivership. I have made numerous calls to the administrators and no one can give me a straight answer as to if my items are in stock, if I will get them, or even when someone will call...Read more
me to discuss this. I will be calling Babyco again tomorrow and if nothing is resolved will attend the creditors meeting on 9 September to hopefully get some answers. It appears that some stores are still trading and the website is still operable. My advice is do not give this company any money unless you are going to walk out of the store with your product. I feel ripped off, they have my money, but I don't have my products. While the store was trading, the staff were unhelpful and I was a little concerned with my lay by. Now the store is in receivership the staff are unsympathetic in addition to being unhelpful.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Highpoint Store: We ordered a Jessie cot, was told it would be delivered the following Thursday. This didn’t occur, on calling them (they will never call you) they advised they didn’t have stock. They then said we can have some old floor stock (no discount) said this was not what we ordered so this is not what we wanted. Told to call back in two weeks for update on the stock, called back, said it was “on the docks, not sure when it will be in though so call back in 2 weeks and we should know” not good enough, advised we wanted a refund, the own...Read more
er then said they don’t give refunds, informed them of the Fair Trading Act 1999. Then a “brand new cot with a never opened box” was available for delivery the next day from the owner of the store. This busted up box that looked like it had been kicked around a depot for a few months turned up. I asked the delivery driver “Big Dave” if this was floor stock and he thought it was supposed to be. Called the office right then said I was not going to take delivery of floor stock and that I had been lied to. They girl on the phone assured me it was a brand new “never before opened box” (this boxes corners were made out of box tape!) “Big Dave” got on the phone and set her straight saying that the cot was defiantly floor stock and he was not going to deliver it if it was supposed to be new. Now getting a refund has been such a hassle I cannot believe this company can still operate as a legitimate business. NO HELP from staff, NO FOLLOW UP on progress, RUDE and INCOMPENTANT organisation as a whole. In all honesty they will go under during this economic meltdown and i truely hope this occurs. We found the Staff at the Babyco Wetherill Park Store to be very helpful, they made us feel welcome and took the time to demonstrate the products they had in store, that kind of customer service is hard to come across.
we are very happy with our new Beema Q Elite Pram and feel that we got a bargain! with the money we saved we could afford to buy a car seat as well! Thank You Babyco, We will most definately be back to shop again.
Great Prices, Australian Made Product, Very Helpful Staff

In the last few months i have been shopping around i have been to several sydney babyco's Penrith, Blacktown and Wetherill park so called Factory outlet. In all stores staff are fabulous but they have not much to sell. Nearly everything i wanted was out of stock in all stores and has been like this for months!!!! The so called factory outlet really is just another store no difference i could see only a 10% off sale which you can get in most other stores anyway!!! I feel sorry for the poor staff who are obviously finding it hard trying to sell off their floor stock what little of it that is left!!!!!!!!!
Staff exremely helpful.
very small range compared to other baby shops, and no stock

I put a mame glider seat on layby over a month ago where with every payment including the first deposit they told me they had put one aside so as not to be sold. I have now been informed that they have gone into administration and the only chair they have available is the floor one. Great so i get to pay full brand new price for a chair that every tom dick and harry has sat in and marked. The only alternative is to get store credit as a full refund is not an option. I felt quite welcomed when I went to Babyco to buy a few items, nothing was to hard for the staff and they explained how they worked and then showed us how to use that item. I have nothing but praise for the babyco people as to me they seem to be real specialits in what they do and how they treat their customers. If you want something that they may not have they will research it out for you. Great job, keep up the good work.
What isn't to like about Babyco, the staff are very helpful and friendly to each and every one that comes into their store.
Nothing bad about this store.

I made my final payment on a layby on the 30th of July and asked if they could let me know when my items would be ready for collection. I was told that someone would call me and let me know. Not sure why I couldn't get my information then after handing over a couple of hundred dollars! I ordered a playpen when my son was 4 months old (he is 13 months now), at the time I was told it would take 4 weeks to get here. I was called 8 weeks later to be told that they had no idea when the stock would be arriving and I should come into the store to get a refund. I went in to fill out the form 7 months ago now and STILL have no received my refund despite numerous calls to head office and promises from staff that they would return my call. BUYER BEWARE! Now they are in receivership I can kiss my deposit goodbye now.
stock never arrives and getting money back for deposit is a NIGHTMARE!

BabyCo at St Marys have been so helpful to me and my friends. The staff are always friendly and can answer any questions I have had. Their cot package deal is such value for money and Australian made which is rare these days. Yes I have to wait for my pram, but it's worth it. It's sad that so many people are giving them a bad name when the staff at store level do everything they can to help out.
Extremely helpful and friendly staff, lots of product knowledge, new range of brands.

you laybuy an item expecting that when you make the final payment you can pick it up but then you find that the item is not in stock and the staff cannot tell you when it will be in. i expect that if i laybuy an item it will be held on site and when i make final payment i can take the item with me. i will never shop there again and tell everyone not to go there unless you pay cash and take good with you at the time.
handy location
lay buy procedures are dreadful.

We purchased several items from Babyco Kotara prior to our baby being born. Every single item purchased from here has either had parts missing or turns out to be faulty. Policy of the store is not to refund, but to exchange or give "store credit" - which is ILLEGAL by the way. A refund must be offered if the goods are faulty or unsuitable for the use they are sold for. Even gifts that we received from people who purchased from Babyco turned out to be faulty.
Staff in the store are not knowledgable and are not authorised to refund back ...Read more
to customers. You have to wait about 6 weeks for "Head Office" to send you back a cheque!!! And there is no contact number available for the mysterious "head office" people. They also do not answer queries via their contact page on the website. Very poor service, bad products - steer well clear of these people. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they were out of business in the next 12 months. Poor customer service, bad productsSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
