Baccarat ID3 no good on induction
Bought the 6 piece set of non stick hard anodised ID3 tried to use it on my Asko induction cooktop but it took 15 mins to boil approximately 3 cups of water. Took the set back to Robins kitchen after 5 days and the staff informed me that Baccarat are aware of this problem and are changing the base contrey to the same sales person initial advice that I could have this set on induction. Changed to Baccarat gourmet 10 piece set much better with no issues from supplier. Do not ever buy Baccarat ID3 non stick for induction as they are expensive rubbish. ID3 stainless steel with non stick does work though.
Baccarat iD3, 30cm saute pan.
Bought this pan from House last week to use on our new induction cooktop. On first use the pan warped upward in the center by a good 5mm. I tried to return the pan to the store today and was told that it was normal for pans not to be flat. I argued that a 5mm warp was outside the definition of "not perfectly flat". I was then informed that pans are "rounded by law" ?????? If this is the case then the pan was ilegal when I bought it as it was perfectly flat!
Needless to say - there will be more to this story......

Won't heat up on my induction cooktop
My husband bought these before we moved into our house with the induction cooktop, great on gas... I had to ring baccarat because even though I had them for 9 Mths before I opened them (used them for 3 Mths on gas cooktop) and not at all on my induction they will not replace them or give me a refund... Even though they have a lifetime guarantee. Will now have to go through small claims tribunal to get money back. How can they advertise suitable for induction and get away with it.. Not happy

Stay away from Baccarat
I've owned Baccarat cookware for over 12 years and loved my products. Unfortunately they pre-dated induction cooktops, so when we built our house last year I had to replace all my cookware. I bought over $1200 worth of new iD3 saucepans, frying pans, etc. but they were the most absolutely useless cookware ever. As per similar reviews on here, they took well over 10 minutes to bring a pot of water to boil even with using the boost setting on my hotplate. It was not even possible to stir fry and there was no where near enough heat for the wok and...
Read more the meat just stewed. After a number of phone calls to the manufacturer, emails and showing proof of purchase they agreed for me to send them the products at my own cost for them to inspect. Obviously this was not good enough and they eventually agreed to replace all of my products with the iD3s range, and gave me a replied paid number to return my original iD3 products. I did not get like for like products and ended up with duplicates of some and missing others. However, I appreciated that they had honoured the replacement. 8 months down the track the non-stick coating is flaking and peeling and even on low heat meat is burning. I have sent photographic evidence of what has happened and have been told this is not warranted as I have burnt the pan. I do not set my cook plate to higher than 6 (essentially medium) as these ones actually do conduct heat well, I do not use metal utensils, do not use abrasive cleaners, do not put the pots and pans directly into water when they are hot, do not use olive oil, and do not use canola spray or similar spray oils.Do not waste your money! This company is a joke.Simply doesn't work.
I have been seeking a pressure cooker for a while and finally found a Baccarat at a retail store. I read the instructions from beginning to end and tried to 'cook' some water (as per the directions). And so the problems began. The lid never sealed properly and when the heat began to build up the pressure button on top never lifted as it was supposed to, only the emergency safety valve. My wife tried and had the same results. We contacted Baccarat to see if they could shed some light but received no response. The Baccarat is going back to the shop today and we'll find a pressure cooker that works - I guess that's why they were 50% off!!
Non stick coating comes off. good manufacturer replacement
Bought a full set on these pans when I first moved out. After approximately 2 years all the non stick coating from the bottom of the pans had come off. The pots get daily use. We wash them in the dishwasher and only use plastic tools for stirring. I contacted the manufacturer and they requested that I send them photos of the pots to prove the brand name and condition. They replaced all the pans without a receipt no questions asked. They were out of stock in the factory so I had to wait a few months but they were delivered straight to my door f...

So far So good
After purchasing the 5 piece cookware pack from house homewares to be used on a gas cooktop I've been happy so far although I had found the casserole pot with the shorter handles was getting far to hot to pick up after use on the cooktop so returned that item to have it replaced with another suitable item I've had great customer service.

it warped
I used it once on a glass top stove, it warped, and I took it back. the shop said I had put it in the sink and ran water over it while it was hot, I said no and they said they would replace it this time, The second one did the same, so I took it back dirty, still had sausage stuff sticking to it and let it cool on the stove top. they gave me my money back
looked good

Expensive rubbish!! Kmart pots last 5 times longer!!
Very disappointing, paying $379 for a set of pots and pans, you would think that they would lasts longer than my old $79 special from Kmart..... But they didn't... I got 6 years out of a set of Kmart Teflon coated pots, which were still usable when we decided to upgrade... We deceived on the baccarat id3 Teflon coated set which we only received 1.5 years of use out of.... The Teflon was starting to stick after 6 months. I could kinda live with that as I know Teflon doesn't last forever. After 12 months the teflon had become unusable on the fr...
Read moreypans and was peeling and chipping on some of the pots. I still put up with this. After 1.5 years the heating base fell off one of my pots!! This I was not going to live with so I returned them to house. House contacted the rep and replaced my id3s with a stainless steel set. They have no Teflon to wear and a solid quality base so hopefully I should get some longevity out of them!! Looked nice Base fell off, The quality of the Teflon is terrible!!I swear by it!
Best non-stick i've ever owned! So easy to clean and cook with. Piece of advice for those who don't already know! Do not use olive oil on non-stick!!! (or spray can oils) olive oil becomes carcinogenic when heated. It is not meant to be heated! It also reacts with the non-stick causing it to stick. Spray can oils have a chemical that reacts with the chemicals in the non-stick which cause it to stick. Also most spray can oils are generally a sugar based spray, which caramelizes and burns, damaging your pan! (use rice bran, canola, sunflower etc....
Read more) also do not allow the flame to exceed the base of the pan (general cookware rule). Non-stick is also not built to withstand continued high heat, get your pan nice and hot and then bring down to low-med. Never leave on high or you will burn its non-stick capabilities. Do not use metal utensils Do not use spray can oils Do not use olive oil!!!!! And you'll end up loving your non-stick id3 as long as i have! So easy to clean!- 18 reviews

Alloy saucepan no good for induction cooktops
Knowing that I was soon to switch to an induction cooktop I bought a Baccarat 16cm iD3 hard-anodised alloy saucepan as it was marked on the base as "Suitable for all Cooktops". It is NOT suitable for induction. I can boil 1 litre of water in other induction saucepans of the same size in 4 1/2 minutes - the iD3 takes 12 minutes!! The base does not have nearly enough iron in it to work properly. An iD3s non-stick stainless steel frypan I bought a while back is fine for induction. It has a lot of iron in its base. I plan to return the saucepan as ...
Read moreunfit for the use claimed. Do NOT buy this saucepan unless you will never be using induction. January 2nd 2018 Update: Not suitable for induction cooktops. This purchase of a non-stick 16cm Baccarat iD3 hard-anodised aluminium saucepan was my second after a disappointing experience five years ago using an earlier version on an induction cooktop. Several reviewers at that time had the same frustration. The current model is advertised with prominent claims such as “Full induction technology making it suitable for all cooktops” and “includes a magnetic stainless steel induction plate making the iD3 suitable for all cooktops”. I took a magnet to the shop and it stuck well to the base so I concluded that Baccarat had addressed the shortcomings of the earlier version for induction cooking. Unfortunately, the current version is in practice no improvement for induction cooking, and cannot be recommended for that technology at all. There simply can’t be enough steel in its base to engage fully with the magnetic field of the cooktop and generate proper heat. Using an Electrolux induction cooktop made in Germany, this iD3 saucepan required 11 minutes to boil one litre of water whereas my Baccarat 16cm iD3s steel saucepan (no longer available?) does so in 2:50 minutes, a quarter of the time! While I can’t comment on the durability of the non-stick surface, this saucepan with a stainless steel handle is of sturdy construction and might suit non-induction cooktops. The claims of suitability for induction cooktops are however seriously misleading so it has to be given a two-star rating. Washes easily. Misrepresented as suitable for induction cooktops.Update: I took the iD3 saucepan back to the House shop who, although unaware of the induction problem, immediately offered a full refund, which was good of them. I credited it against a 16cm iD3s stai...
Read morenless steel saucepan costing about double. Perfect! This saucepan will boil 1 litre in 2 1/2 minutes on my Electrolux cooktop. On this experience, for induction in the Baccarat range iD3s is the way to go, though availability of non-stick versions is unclear.Find out how Baccarat ID3 compares to other Cookware & Fryware Products

Not good
I was not happy with the pan I bought. On just a low heat the metal handles heat up and become too hot to touch. This includes the lid as well as the side handles. Also when pouring a little oil onto the pan, it all just slid to the edges.
Nothing
As above
Rubbish
We purchased an expensive frying pan for the first time and it is the biggest piece of junk ever was great at first but has only lasted 18mnths and is now a FULL STICK PAN we have only ever used correct oil no metal and med t low gas heat and it is now rubbish if I wanted only 18mnths would have bought cheap supermarket brand and they even last longer so do not buy this [censored word removed].
Looks
dosnt last n stick no way

Terrible for Induction
Bought 2 Frypans and a Crepe pan for making pancakes. Not at all impressed with the induction performance from this range. The advertising says they are suitable and if you hold a magnet next to one it will stick. I have since found out that the ferrite content of cookware is what makes one product better than another. The stronger the magnet is attracted the better the performance will be. The magnet barely sticks to these where as my Tupperware stainless steel saucepans and a friend's LeChasseur fry pan really sticks. I have to have the stove...
Read more flat out to make them heat up and barely cook stuff like bacon and eggs. The pans buzz as well, which I never notice with other cookware I use. Overall the finish of the pans are ok and the non-stick performance is good. Mind you I have only used them a few times so far and probably won't use them any more, they are that bad. Fairly cheap and good finish. Terrible for induction. Low ferrite content.Coating is peeling off pots
We have a full set of these pots. The protective non stick coating is peeling off and has already probably ended up in our food. For the price you pay for these you only get Chinese cheap junk. Do not buy these! Always remember to keep your receipts because the on seller will not listen to you.
Expensive and cheap quality
First and last time I will buy this brand
Very disappointed, bottom of pan buckled within 1 week of use at only medium heat. We have a induction cook top and it is slow to heat compared with our other cookware, probably due to the fact that most of the bottom of the pan no longer touches the stove top.
Buckled within days at only medium heat
Thanks for posting your comments on this product as I was just about to buy the set of cookware..... Now Im not. I think I will go with Scanpan.
A great one to look at is Baccarat - Pete Evans. iD3 has about 200,00 scratch cycle tests, Pete Evans over 700,000. Scanpan is about 270,000.
