Don't buy one
We purchased this oven 3 years ago. It is an lpg model and since we had purchased it, it hasnt worked properly. We put up with it for a while thinking we would get use to it but it didn't get any better. It takes well over 75 minutes to cook baked vegies on a temp of 240oc. We contacted Belling and they said it had to be installed by a gas plumber so we had one come and do something to the connection even though we had a gas stove previous to this one and our old stove worked fine. Still no better cooking time takes forever. Called them again a...Read more
nd of course now it is out of warranty and they couldn't find anywhere that we had contacted them previously even though we did. The stove guy who came to look at it says it looks like a thermostat issue. I would not recommend Belling it is a very disappointing stove and no help from the company if there is an issue. Buy another brand.
Purchased in October 2021 at Harvey Norman for $1,000.00.

A great stove for the price, dual ovens are great
My old oven had stopped working and I do a lot of cooking so needed an upgrade. I had wanted to install a duel fuel freestanding stove, however to have the 15amp electrics installed was prohibitively expensive. So I decided to stick with an all gas oven and stovetop. I had read many negative reviews about this Belling stove so I was a little apprehensive in buying it. However I got a good price and installation was reasonable.
This product is excellent. I ran both oven cavities at once and used the stovetop extensively preparing my first meal...Read more
on it. It cooked much faster than my old oven ever did and the meals turned out great. The temperatures in the cavities seemed quite even, especially using the fan forced feature. The burners are a little slower than what I'm used to however I expect this will seem quite normal in a short period of time. The stove looks great, the dual ovens are perfect for my use and it feels like a quality made product. All-in-all I am very happy with this stove. If the features interest you I would recommend buying it.Purchased in May 2021 at Harvey Norman Retail Stores - Appliances for $1,549.00.

Not as sold on this as the person who convinced me to buy!
When renovating my kitchen I was wanting to convert from Electric to gas to save on bills. Was passing this at Harvey Norman as a lady who owned one already for some time gushed about it. Love the 2 ovens, very handy, the cook top is good and love the idea of the glass top. Protects my very expensive Italian porcelain tiles behind the stove when cooking. The main oven cavity just never seemed to get hot enough so finally called Belling who very responsively sent a service call out. Found the over possibly had issue with the thermostat and replac...Read more
ed. No issue. Temperature is better, but the oven thermometers I have say its not reaching the temperature I dial up. Eg, 200 is only getting to 185 deg C. All good as this is much better and I can always dial it up a little if I need. At least I'm not cooking at 150 when I want 200 like initially. I have heard bad reports about Belling service, but I cant fault the. If you just want the run of the mill oven to do your simple stuff, the this is an ok option. If you're a cordon blue chef, look elsewhwhere.1 comment

Not happy JanNorth-West & West coast, TAS
Would not recommend
Not impressed. I have had this serviced for not staying alight (it is gas), the temperature being incorrect (not hot enough). The initial service response was good, BUT three days later the same problem has occurred again. Another underdone roast dinner which is disappointing and frustrating. Will not recommend unless it can be fixed and be reliable!

Great design but..........
(1) Push button ignition in main oven has been repaired twice by local gas fitter at our expense
( 2) The glass lid has to be replaced for the 2nd time because the metal frame supporting the glass shows evidence of rust.
Stove was installed January 2015.

Best oven ever!
I absolutely love my Belling oven the twin ovens are fantastic and it bakes like a dream. No more burnt bases scorched edges it cooks evenly every time. The splash back makes cleaning behind the stove a breeze and around the jets are also easy to wipe over. Control markings protected by glass, side opening oven door makes removing food easy. I highly recommend this oven and looks great in my kitchen.

Absolutely useless
I really wanted a double oven, but only have space for a 60cm oven at the moment until my kitchen is redone so bought the Belling FSG61DOPFSNG.
Wow, what a complete load of garbage. The oven takes ONE HOUR to preheat, it takes me a total of 2 hours of oven use to cook a tray of frozen chips. Also, I can't use it under 180 or the flame goes out!! I've only had it 7 months.

Rubbish
Bought this oven approx 2.5 years ago. First the handles broke off and Belling wouldn't replace them. The price they wanted was daylight robbery. Bought some generic ones off eBay. Much better and cheaper than the original ones. Now the cooktop won't stay alight. Appears the thermostat that detects the heat from the sensors telling the thermostat to keep the gas open is buggered. Have tried calling several oven repair places in Perth WA and they don't want to know about this brand. My recommendation is pay a little more and get something better.

Also, it is worth noting that our spare parts pricing is well within industry average as we do endeavour to provide affordable solutions for our customers where required. Don't overlook this oven...it's The best!!
After 4 months of searching on the net and checking ovens out in stores, We decided on a Belling gas/electric freestanding oven with gas cooker. It's great!. It is easy to clean, I love the black top, it hides the little spills until you wipe it. It has a feel of quality, the knobs turn smoothly, The oven is a good size and has 2 racks, some oven only have one. The smaller oven/grill at the top is so handy for baking a desert while a roast dinner is in the main oven. The oven has an option of fan forced if you want it. The grill heats up su...Read more
per quick. I also love the beautiful, practical glass top on it. Wonderful idea. Only down fall is getting used to the noise of the cooling fan that kicks in when the oven or grill heats up. Also no high or low on the grill. In saying that they are minor things, overall I am very very happy with this oven. If I ever leave this house I hope the next house has a Belling. Being a British built appliance I looked at UK reviews, not many Aussie reviews.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Have a Belling 900DFT and there is a rear vent on the bottom left hand oven, what is this for?

Hi Sue,
This is for ventilation for hot air,
thanks

We have a brand new Belling BFS60DOIND freestanding unit bought yesterday.
We are currently running the ovens as per the instructions prior to use to burn off the odour.
A strong flow of hot air is blowing out of the front of the top oven door. This is both uncomfortable for the person cooking, and a waste of power.
The fan also makes a high pitched whine sound. Anay coment?

Hi Lloyd,
please give us a call on 1800 444 357 so we can assist :)
Was this resolved Lloyd? Sounds like a poor seal design on several of the Belling Models, particulary on the smaller top oven. It's certainly not for 'ventillation' on an electric oven!

I wanted to ask why I can feel the heat escaping from the top of the door of the top oven. Upon opening the door I can see the rubber seal going almost all round the edge to seal against the door but for about a 20 cm piece of flat chrome along the top. I tried the oven once and was concerned that it was letting out too much heat and I didn't want to waste gas by trying to get the oven to temperature. After about 15 minutes or maybe less, I used the lower oven to cook tea. I may have been premature by not letting it get to temperature properly but the heat coming out the door was concerning. I bought the oven to cost less to cook, not more?? It is model no; FSG61DOPFSLPG Stainless and I look forward to an answer. Chris

Hi Chris,
First of all, congratulations on your purchase.
It is difficult to know if what you describe is normal operation as what you think might be an excessive amount of air escaping may be normal (and vice versa). Can we grab your contact information please so we can have a chat over the phone?
Thank you.
Is it not for letting the steam escape? Gas ovens produce vapour. The lower oven has 2 vents / flues at the back, I didn't think the upper one did? There is also a fan that then blows away the excess heat. You hear it kick in after the appliance has been on for a bit and also after you have turned it off. I lose heat from here but have never had an issue (so far) with cooking in the upper cavity and I also have the gap with the rubber. I just always assumed it was acting like the flues that are behind the stove coming from the bottom cavity.
