Yes they do-well same time as a panadol takes to work. When I originally had it I actually take two sedacalm (since I was so anxiety ridden) and then just follow the one three times a day after that. You dont have a 'feeling' like alcohol or anything- it just removes the anxiety disorder sensations. There is also Sedasleep which is good bedtime.

I am not sure to be honest, but it would be worth checking with the doctor if the active ingredient 'passiflora' is known to interfere with the antidepressants.
