I have recently purchased a BLACKVUE DR650S-CH. This is the third BLACKVUE Camera I have purchased. I have two vehicles and updated to a later model BLACKVUE in one of my vehicles. The replaced camera is not High Definition. I am completely satisfied with this product. I have recommended the BLACKVUE Camera to others who have also purchased this product.

We have now bought 4 cameras for all our cars and cannot fault them. Simple to install and then forget about...until you need it. Recording quality is extremely good with great software for playback. Although not what I intended using it for I have taken footage of extremely dangerous driving to the Police who managed to freeze frame a car number plate, this was only due to the quality of the recording. Would recommend BlackVue to anyone who is considering buying a dash cam.

We bought this a while ago and there has been nothing but trouble we have had it replaced 4 times and still not working very very bad camera BlackVue. It keeps saying ether firmware error or sd card not compatible when it's a blackvue sd card what a heap of crap.

Great camera - never really any issues... but better yet .... if you do have some issues [like I have with a few minor things being not that tech savvy] - Tom, from AutoBlackbox.com.au has saved my tail several times and really knows his stuff !!!
Although the camera is great with awesome footage .. Tom is better ..!! Quick, efficient and gets any issues ironed out immediately.

Purchased the Blackvue DR650S-1CH and Power Magic Pro after a carpark incident and I could not be happier with it! Installed it myself and it was straightforward (Power Magic Pro took a little while to power up after being hard-wired in to the cars wiring loom, I had to toggle the adjustment switches before the power LED activated) and set up was very simple using the Blackvue app on my smartphone. Picture quality is great, easy to pick numberplates during daytime recording even on my phone screen. The sensor on the side of the unit to switch audio recording on/off is great too, was an unexpected surprise. It's a feature packed and high quality camera and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another!

I've had it for a little while now, and its had no issues what so ever. The video is crisp, it has front AND back cameras, and the cord is long enough to connect it to the front and back without getting in the way.

The app took a few minutes to get used too, but I figured it out quick and given that this is a set and forget type of camera, I haven't really used the app since my first test run.

Its got decent storage and can rollover prerecorded footage if your like me and don't want to start stacking storage cards!

Easily the best and most easy to use camera I have purchased.

I also have constant problems with the SD card and Blackvue restarting all the time without any reason. The sticker is also terrible. Blackvue is dropping down in hot weather, so I have to stick it again to the windscreen all the time. In parking mode it is recording almost all the time despite the sensitivity sensor put to minimum.

I have the IR model as I am a driver and may require footage from inside the car should the need arise. I can say that this is by far the best camera I have ever used and everyone i have shown footage to agrees, The night time footage is incredibly clear, the youtube videos that i thought were fake dont even do it justice! thats how impressive it is.

Pretty much any camera will do during the day, night is much harder.

As for the IR, its an internal camera and records quite well even in zero light conditions. Perfect for people who may see the need for such a device. (uber drivers, couriers, etc)

This is the second Blackview camera i recently purchased for my wife's new car. Already have a DR550-2ch in my car which paid for itself after someone sideswiped me and then said it was my fault, retracted their statement after they were sent the video by police.

The 650 model is much better than the 550, they are not the cheapest cameras out there but the image quality is superb.

The dashcam itself is great. Installed it easily in the second car for my p-plate son. The original firmware on the device was good and worked well with the phone app (Android) but the first couple of updates for the new cloud functionality were dreadful. The wi-fi connectivity was very flakey and made configuring the camera very hard, I actually regressed it to the earlier firmware for a few months until it stabilised.

All in all pretty happy with the unit, it does what it's supposed to and works well, with good image quality.

bought this a little while ago, it was a little tricky to set up at first but once you work our the app its fine. take your time to get familair with operating manual and you will rate this cam. it will take you about 20 - 30 mins to work it all out but definately worth it. Top car cam and would recmd it

Very happy with this dashcam. Setup was super easy as was the installation. Play back is fast and simple with awesome HD detail even at night which is where most of my driving occurs. Small enough to be mounted in the center of the windscreen without impeding vision. Would definitely recommend this camera if you are serious about capturing all the details.

Initial setup is not user friendly. Keeps crashing when setting up from mobile app. After several attempts, has to take the ss card out and use the of software to setup. Which finally worked. Still not too happy with how difficult it is to setup. Hopefully future updates will fix this.

I just received my new DR650GW today in the mail and I'm extremely impressed with it. The picture is crystal clear, it was easy to install, and it looks great. Extremely happy with this product and everyone at AutoBlack Box who assisted me. Will definitely be recommending this camera now to my friends and family.

I used the app to fine tune the angle for best view.
Easy to install by self, in under 20 mins.
Clear day/night video, 32 gb SD card is the smallest i would use.
Would encourage people to buy one.

Have had this for 12 Months installed by Audi Perth however found it to be unreliable. Not sure if it is because car is not used a lot or the unit has been faulty since installed..
I have not updated the firmware since the new app is out as have been overseas. Will contact distributor again for help as this was a costly unit and do have some concern.
