What is the problem when charging battery light is not on?

this has happened to me and I have disconnected the cleaner from the power and tried again - eventually it does start to charge. One issue I notice is when the dust container is not tightly fixed in - I give it a sharp slap and tha usually resolves the issue

I just bought the vaccum yesterday, Sand is staying in the vaccum head and as soon as I stop just comes straight out? What is the cause for this. Have tried 3 times with the same result. Very disappointed.

Went to goodguys where purchased replaced for me.... new vaccum doing the exact same thing. Hoping I can get a refund today as this is very disappointing. Also the vaccum stops charging after 3 hours completely turns off.

The heavier debris requires the higher power levels. If the power is insufficient there might be an issue with the battery.

I don’t consider fine grains of sand heavy debris, fact that would vacuum sand then as soon as I stop come out of the vaccum head. I Tried on the highest setting with no luck. Just glad goodguys gave me a refund and bought a different vaccum. Never again will I purchase a Bosch product.

How long is the battery life on the Animal pro BCH6ZOOAU - 01.
I am really disappointed that mine is running out after 60 seconds of vacuuming. I think that after paying $500 for a vacuum it should last more than 3 years! I have read that you can not replace the battery, or if you do it costs the same as a new vacuum! Should have bought a Dyson!

Mine still does my whole house. Maybe call customer services and see what they say. I didn't expect to get a new handle, so you never know.

Thanks Magenta, I have, they told me it could either be the battery or charger. To check if its the charger I have to take it back to where I bought it from and try one of their charges!! If it's battery it is stuffed! They cost SIMILAR to a new Vacuum! So frustrating, expected a better life expectancy.

What is the best way to charge the battery?! Do I leave it plugged in all the time or just until is charged and then unplug it, because either way I do, I get to use it for no longer then 5 min on speed 1 or 2 and it dies?! If I use Turbo it lasts for about 3 min.

I would return it to whoever you purchased it from as there is either a problem with the battery or the charger!

I agree with the other person. Return it to the retailer as there may be something wrong with the charger. Mine got replaced as they have had issues with this product.

My Bosch Athlet zoo cordless vacuum cleaner is under 2 years old. I am now on my 2nd battery and it's no better. It last a few minutes and stops. I brought it at Harvey norman on the 8th October 2016. Please give me advice on what i can do. Thank you.

I have made contact again with Bosch about my issue. They have sent me a second battery charger in an attempt to rectify the problem. And have asked me to contact them further if it is not resolved. Disappointingly, I will need to do so, as my issue has not been resolved and the vacuum only lasts barely 5 minutes. Jane

Can the battery be replaced when it gets older and starts to loose charge?
Is it user replacement or do I need to send the vaccum to a bosch dealer?
