Very pleased!
I have purchased today a Braun TexStyle 7 Series iron TS765ATP to replace my old faithful Sunbeam Ultura5650 Platinum which was about 12 years old. My old Sunbeam had fallen off the ironing board twice over the years & was being held together by cord, but was becoming too dangerous electrically & not heating up properly. Though I loved my old iron, my new Braun is fantastic! It heats up quicker, glides effortlessly over the clothes & with the soleplate being 1.5cms wider than my old iron, has a greater coverage. It is also a very balanced iron to use. The only negative is that it's much noisier than my old one, but I can live with that.

Best Iron we've had
Our Phillips iron had cracked and was spitting water onto the clothes leaving marks on them so it was time for a replacement. After reading the reviews on this site I brought the TS765ATP from DJ Wellington (30% off) and we are so glad we did. It was still quite pricey with the discount but the iron is outstanding. It is a little heavier than our old one but the steam function is amazing. It chuffs along like a steam engine and gives excellent results on silk, linen, cotton, wool and delicates. The textile protector is great for my husbands uniform which can get shiny with constant ironing. It heats quickly and never drips. Would highly recommend.

Best iron ever!
We bought this iron 4 months ago as our old Phillips died. This is a bit larger and has a large reservoir which means less refills but huge amount of steam. Comes with at attachment for high quality fabric. Has auto shut down for both standing up and lying down. Best iron we have ever used!

Great iron
Heats up very quickly, large water chamber, sturdy design. Handy separate cover plate which is great to use on delicate fabrics. The iron has a safety switch off and flashes a red light if you've left the chord plugged into the electricity socket. I would buy this iron again and think it's great

Love this Iron
This iron really delivers. Heats quickly and the iron uses the perfect amount of steam to remove wrinkles without much effort from the operator. Has certainly cut my ironing time. There is a slight noise from the steam, but that doesn't worry me as I know when I hear that, it is doing exactly what it is designed to do.
This is the first review I have ever written, but I am so impressed with this iron that I felt I had to do this. Also, I bought this iron because of the positive reviews it had already received. Great value for money

Very happy with my first Braun purchase
I finally decided to change brands after my last three irons being Philips Azure series. I decided on Braun as the reviews for this particular iron were overwhelmingly positive and the iron was the right price. So far I am very happy. The Iron is lighter than my Philips (and Iron does not need to be heavy, the steam and heat do the work). The Braun I would say heats up faster, is lighter, holds more water and the temperature and controls are simple and adequate. It has the essentials like de-calc and auto shut-off. It has adequate steam to quic...Read more
kly Iron the wrinkles from a linen shirt and seems to be a lot more efficient with water compared to my Philips. The soleplate is like stainless steel (although they call it something else) which I didn't realise when I bought it but it glides as easily as the fancy ceramic coating on the Philips. The cord is long enough and my only improvement would be the cord attachment was a bit stiff and prevented the iron from sitting up nice and sturdy on the board. It has loosens up a bit and really not a problem but could be improved. The asthetics and ergonimics could be a bit better but still a 4 out of 5 for me. After research I would only really consider a Tefal, Braun or Phillips. I have tried a Tefal before and it was too heavy. I think the ergnomics on the Phillips Azure is the bestSimilar opinion? Completely over rated
I purchased this iron after reading many good reviews... but ... it is heavy and bulky to use, doesn't heat up well, and constantly makes annoying gurgling noises during ironing. Sole plate developed rust spots after only a few months ... and after 6 months and many emails I still haven't received my $100 cash back from the original purchase.

Great Iron
I used to have a sunbeam iron previously which started leaking water and clogging up before I decided to spend some money and get a quality iron.
I've had this iron for approximately 8 months.
Pros:
- heats up quickly
- generates a lot of steam!! this definitely cuts down the ironing time and makes wrinkles a thing of the past
- the anti-calc feature is useful and to-date I haven't had any clogging after 8 months
- the iron glides really well over clothes and requires minimal effort
- has a safety off feature (I've forgotten to turn off the iron a few times)

Braun-rude and tricky/Good guys irresponsible
I got Braun Texstyle 7 series when it was having a 30$ cash back offer, they didn't write with the offer any cut-off date for the registering of the claim and very rudely (on the phone) told me that it was Good Guys responsibility and sorry we cannot help you.... Very angry that Good Guys didn't inform me if they were given this role to inform but very very angry with Braun who didn't make sure that their customer does benefit from the offer and spoke rudely with me.

Waget leaking
Do not buy this product. This is my first time writing a review of any product. Water leaking everywhere. Very unreliable. Water leaking from the side while you are ironing. It also leaks when it is even off. I wet my while carpet because of this shot. I will never buy this brand ever.

So happy with this purchase.
Bought this iron on the back of the reviews I read on this site.
Best steam iron I've ever owned, it will definitely cut down my ironing time.
The fact that it holds so much water is a bonus as I won't be constantly having to fill it.
Very happy customer.
And my iron does not leak water. If it did I would take it back to place of purchase.

Excellent Iron
I purchased this iron to replace the Russell Hobbs Smooth IQ Pro that I had for less than a year, that was extremely unsatisfactory.
I wanted an iron that would deliver a steady high level of steam, with a sole plate that would not retain a residue from high temperature ironing of cotton business shirts. This iron delivers on these and all accounts.
I have used for the last month and have been nothing short of extremely happy with the performance of the iron.
Thoroughly recommend if you want a high quality iron, with a great sole plate for smooth efficient ironing.

Horrible- Leaks everywhere, worst iron i've ever used
I was so disappointed with this after having read so many reviews I thought this would be a decent iron. It leaks water out of the sides and the steam holes uncontrollably, saturating the whole shirts - not usable at all. Taking me 30mins to iron one shirt and then have to go over it again to dry it out because it's saturated. It's ridiculous.

Disappointed
I purchased this iron based on Choice magazine reviews as I needed one that was recommended for ironing cotton. On first use I immediately noticed it would not iron cotton or cotton/polyester well at all. Even set at the highest temperature and steam it does not remove all wrinkles.
As other reviewers have noted the highest setting does not seem to be hot enough for cotton or linen.

Makes ironing a breeze!
I bought a Braun TS745A steam iron from Myer online store at a reduced price a couple of weeks ago, after having been very disappointed with another steam iron from a different brand! The great things about this iron: it heats up quickly; it's very light, and yet the soleplate material allows it to glide over the garment with ease and the design (combination of heat and steam) would prevent from having to re-iron to get rid of wrinkles: it irons effectively. The cord length is long enough, and not too long to make it ridiculous. The special gro...Read more
ove in the snout of the filling cup makes the act of filling up the water tank easier than usual. The water tank is average in size and I suppose because I use much steam when ironing, I usually have to re-fill it after ironing for 20 minutes. The TS745A style I bought has a full arched handle (like most other steam irons from different brands) and not like that in the pictures shown here, although the handle shape is not something which would affect the iron's performance. THE ONLY minor issues I've noticed with this iron is that when it's in upright position awaiting usage, it makes some noise as though spitting some water droplets from the soleplate, however, when using it to iron in horizontal position, it doesn't leak water or leave any stains on the garment. Also, perhaps it's also me, but when pressing the steam jet button whilst the steam dial/valve being at maximum, I would have expected more steam release than the amount given off by the iron. Overall, a great iron and very happy, especially that I bought it at a reduced price.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Fantastic
After reading the reviews I decided to purchase this iron instead of Tefal. So glad that I have purchased it- the best iron. So easy to use, quick heat up, no water leakes. Settings are accurate.
Very quick to iron business shirts with no sprays of starch. Its light and glides easily the cord is long.
Didn't need to refill for a long time great water capacity.

Love this Iron
Heats up quickly, glides like no other iron I have ever owned. I purchased this Iron online from Myer at a discounted rate, sight unseen and it is perfect. I previously had a sunbeam and read reviews of similar that were causing power safety switch in the house to trip which my old iron did. Reviews on the Braun were excellent therefore made my choice easy.

A little weighty but ok. Steam is so great my glasses fog up!! Hence frequent refill would be required if you have a lot of ironing. I Found nothing negative as yet & almost look forward to this task. Many thanks & helpful to all 'reviews' & this web site.

Best iron I've owned to date
I have had this iron for nearly a year now. I have not had any water leakage issues mentioned in other reviews. The only time water has leaked through the sole plate is when the steam setting is on minimum, and only for a few seconds. It is quite noisy and steamy at the maximum steam setting, but I find I usually only use the middle setting 3/6. The fabric protector accessory that clips onto the sole plate is indispensable, I use it all the time. This allows you to use maximum heat and steam settings without damaging fabric, but more importantl...Read more
y it stops those nasty shiny marks on cotton pants when you iron over the pockets. It does feel a little grippy and less slippery than the irons own sole plate, but it is worth the extra effort for the improved appearance of your clothes.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good Iron. But.....
A good iron which does what it supposed to do. But it started to drip water while ironing and while standing on iron board from week one. Returned back and got a new one. Seems ok at the moment. I Like the clothes protector accessory and strong steam action. But little noisy while ironing with steam compared to my old phillips iron.

Why did it catch on fire brought in October this normal takes two years before my irons catch on fire or stop working. Can you recommend a iron that can handle 6 to 12 hours of ironing per week. Every time they catch on fire I buy a different brand. I had not had a Braun before . Why do l irons catch on fire ? Amanda

I would be more worried about your dwellings safety switch not killing the power when your iron/s supposably caught on fire.
"Mike"
Thanks for your "concern" about my safety switch, it works just fine thanks, unlike the iron. I would gladly pay overs for an iron that works more than 8 weeks.

I don't have this particular model, however the manual for this iron is available as a free download from the Braun website. Hopefully this will answer your question.
