Don't buy Budget Direct, especially when you're holding a provisional license
They will reject to insure you if you make a claim when you're holding a provisional license. So, if you choose Budget Direct, try not to make any mistakes.
If you are declined by a car insurer, other companies don't want to give you a quote or insure you. Few companies do, but much higher premium.

Very good rate, much more affordable than their competitors
Very happy with Budget direct. I chose them after comparing them with all of their major competitors and they offered the most reasonable price for the same type of car insurance.

This company is a fraud
Cheap insurance does not mean you are covered when it is required and i learned the hard way. I had auto insurance with budget direct and encountered an accident which was no fault of mine. Budget direct sent me a claim# and their agent advised me this claim would be closing because someone would follow up to arrange a settlement. I did not receive a call and my claim was withdrawn without my consent or more like deception. claims dept number was 1300 139 591 ext 10082. I am not sure if this was a dummy number or they deliberately create a long hold time expecting customers to give up filing their legitmate claims. You give up after making several attempts and encounter long hold times with no eta on call queues. Cheapest in the country.
They got the cheapest insurance in Australia and they are very flexible. I am having a great experience with this company. Their support team helped me with my insurance very friendly behaviour. I was confuse about insurance until that time.

They charge double the amount, and never accept email inquiries
They charge premium twice. I have been inquiring via email many times but they ignored.
Perhaps, they should spend less money on TV commercials and put more money on customer service.

Easy setup and good value.
First car insurance and was super simple to get a quote and purchase. Priced up against other policies and Budget was also the best value. I Got my quote earlier in the day and then completed while I was purchasing the car so was able to drive away there and then. Will definitely use again next time.
