when Fitzroy Cannon gas heater is on medium should the flame appear to the left and rtight of the element. The flame only appears to the right of the element at the moment
My Cannon Fitzroy beeps 4 times and turns off soon after turning it on (a minute or so).

We have Fitzroy wall log heater. Worked like a charm but this year it cuts off too quickly before the temperature builds up. Flame starts then within 10-15 sec it becomes low. Seems like an issue with sensor/thermostat. It has a Techrite unit inside. Any suggestions would be great.

We have had 2 Canon gas heaters here for several years and while not used extensively (mild climate) they have both performed well (via wall mounted remote controllers). BUT, while pressing buttons on one of the remotes, the display has changed to deg. F and I can’t get it back to C with the p,t,t,a/m routine. Suggestions please....
Have you tried removing the batteries from the remote? Then wait 5 minutes and put them back in. It might display deg C or routine might work! Could also turn fire off at master switch nearby (not the switch on the heater itself).

I have a Cannon Fitzroy purchased in 2009 we have had several issues with it along the way and had them fixed. Now when its windy outside it blows the flame out. Do you have any suggestions ?
Have a cannon Fitzroy heater. Has been nothing but trouble and loud, very loud fan (awful ) Tonight the on /off button wouldn't work ( could not turn it off ) so turned it off at PowerPoint.. no idea if that's safe . The control buttons get very hot ! Really saved up for a good heater - nothing but a money pit / always something going wrong .
I had ours serviced last month (buy a new service man) and he found that 1 of the 2 fans had been put in backwards!! This was causing excess dust issues and a noisy fan. It is much quieter now and more heat efficient surprise surprise.

We have a new cannon Fitzroy and the control panel on the side gets so hot you cannot touch it without burning your finger. Is this normal? A service man was sent to check it and they tried to charge me $200 for the check up. Of course the heater was cold and unless the service man waited around for a few hours for the heater to get hot it was a waste of a visit which I mentioned to the young person from cannon. It is still getting hotter than I feel it should on the outside side panels and the low setting seems way too high, but cannon don’t really want to know about it. What would you suggest

I have a Cannon Fitzroy gas heater. For the last two weeks when i turn the heater on the remote temp is 7 degrees. Normally the temp is 20 degrees or whatever has been set. Read moreeck mine and I would recommend giving the Head Office a call (they were very helpful) They should be able to give you the name of the nearest authorized technician. I did all this and it still took several visits and the problem remained even after replacing the ignition card and blower and a couple of other parts. Finally they replaced the main control board and that fixed the problem. Be advised I do not think it a good idea to try and fix it yourself. Get a quote for the replacement parts as they can be a bit pricey and consider the age of the fire and replacement cost. Hope this helps Ian HSound familiar I also checked pressure switches and all good. Called in service tech to replaced main control board.
