Open lid of printer and place document or photo to be scanned on platen glass. Go to desktop and open Control Panel. Go to "Devices and Printers" and open "Canon MG 3560 Printer". See Scanner Management and open "scan Photos or Documents" Change profile if necessary. Source "Flatbed". Color Format: "color or Black & White".
Select file type for higher resolution. Change to 600 DPI. Press Scan. When item has scanned see popup box and click on "Import" That will open a page "Imported pictures and videos. Find your document. Left click on the document image and drag to desktop. I currently have a Canon MX926 printer and this is the procedure I follow to scan using that printer. I previously had a MG3560 and I am sure that I followed this same procedure for that printer.

mg 3560 how to put new ink cartridge in?

1 answer
Aussieb
Aussieb

Open the printer front door where the printed copy exits the printer. Open the lid to expose the platen glass then open the small flap in the front of the printer. This exposes the print cartridges. The cartridges will slide to the centre of the opening and the empty cartridge will have a flashing red light. Gently push the front of the cartridge towards the rear and it will release. Remove the cartridge by pulling the top of the cartridge forward and upwards. Push the new cartridge into the slot and push backwards and down until the catch clicks. Wait until the cartridges return to the original position on the right hand side of the printer then close the printer covers. You should then be able to resume printing.

Sorry, I can't help you. I have been unable to set up a wireless connection on my MX926 also. I previously had a MG 3560 but couldn't set it up for a wireless connection either. I have connected to my computer by cable so that I can have use of the printer. In my case, it was not too inconvenient and solved my problem.

We have a new internet provider so now the printer does not connect to the new wifi. Can someone tell me how to connect to the new wifi?

CathyP. I wish I could help you, but I found I was spending more time trying to get things right with wifi and usb connections after the first month of use... that first month was fine, then when I changed providers and home address, nothing worked. The hours I spent were costing me more than the price of a new cheap reliable usb laser printer... and I am a pensioner, not inclined to keep buying printers. I spent $35 for a cheap laser at Officeworks and I use the usb connection as I cannot make the wifi work on that either... but at least I can print... Oh! To be fair, I can now scan pages on the 3560 but only via usb ... I just cannot afford the time but more especially the stress to fix things that should just work. A pleasant Canon consultant (probably from India or somewhere) did try to encourage me to do this and that, writing to me about 6 times... they wanted to help, but nothing helped from the first 2 or 3 emails and then I just could not spend more time on it. Sorry I am no help to you. I will find the early emails and post theme here. They might work for you. Good luck.

CathyP : here is the help info sent to me by email from Canon. They tried to be helpful, but ... well, as described above... it was cheaper for me to get a new one. By the way, I and using Mac OSX 10.9.5 and I used the MG3500 driver as there was no trace of a 3560 driver... it worked for a month. Here is the Canon advice...

Dear John,
I understand that you are having an issue with your Canon PIXMA MG3560. My first recommendation is to perform a clean install. Kindly follow the steps below.

1. Disconnect your printer from your computer.

2. Uninstall all the printer software and drivers of from your computer then delete it from the list of your available printer.

3. Restart your computer.

4 . Re-install the printer software and drivers. Download your printer driver first.

http://support-au.canon.com.au/contents/AU/EN/0100538701.html

For Scanning:

IJ Scan Utility Ver. 2.1.5 (OS X 10.7/10.8/10.9/10.10)
http://support-au.canon.com.au/contents/AU/EN/0200433402.html

The drivers and software are available for download from the following link, Once there please locate the small square box on the page that you have opened, tick it and click on download.

We recommend you to save it on your desktop first, once the driver is downloaded, select ‘run’ to install it.

Do not connect the USB cable until prompted to do so.

5. Download the rest of the relevant software (Example: Scanner Driver, MP Navigator, Easy Photo Print etc.) and follow the same process.

6. Be sure to update the drivers if available. Updater are also found from the link provided.

7. Restart the computer again once the whole installation process is completed.

I am sorry to say that I have the same problem and have not resolved it yet. I original had two drivers installed for this machine, I think they were the same driver (but who knows?); one of the interface windows showed the scanner icon and the other did not. When I tried to fix all my problems by reinstalling the drive (after doing the right thing and dumping the driver downloads) I lost all functions. Part of my present problem is that I have no time to fix relatively new equipment like this so I am not scanning at present and I am using a cheap laser printer to get me through some more currently pressing simple printing work. I am sorry I could not help you on that one. Here are the instruction I got from Canon. I have not been able to try them out... I need to work not fix things... you know about that, I am sure. :

I must say that Canon usually works well for me so I hope this was just a rare glitch, not symptomatic of a downturn in Canon reliability over all.

Good luck and best wishes.

There should be a program called "scan utility" that comes in the software disk. But my printer stopped scanning properly after a couple months and I had lines through the image all the time. Ink for this printer is so expensive compared to hp printer ink and considering I can buy an hp printer new with ink for less than 40 bucks my canon printer is now sitting outside.

Canon pix a m g3560 can I set it up on my ipad with out a lap top?

Hi Patricia-Jean,
I shut down the home desktop computer and my wife's laptop and tried it and worked perfectly. Then I pulled the plug on the home internet Wifi and tried it and it didn't work. After I plugged the internet modem back in it worked again; so obviously a home wifi is required. But there is no need to have another computer for it to work. To set it up for my IPad I just followed the instructions that came with the printer.
I hope that helps.
Cheers, Carl

As long as you can access the settings for your router/wifi modem etc. Mine isn't connected at all to my laptop. iPads & phones work well with this printer independently of any laptop

Maybe the following will help ..
- check if your wifi signal is strong enough. A weak signal may be the problem
- go to the Canon website and check if the printer drivers are up to date. You can find the updates on the website.
- if the wifi signal is strong enough and the drivers are up to date press the signal button on the printer until you see the orange light flash twice. Then let go of the button. Go to your settings/internet connection and change to the printer network. Then go back to the app and set up following the instructions online.
Hope the above will help you.

I've just bought this printer, and like others, I can't get any wifi enabled device to "see" this printer. I've followed the instructions (to get the wifi light blinking) and have tried resetting the router, with no luck at all. Any ideas?
Google search just directs me to a software download for my iPad that isn't recognised by this iPad anyway.......

Hey Sarge18. I tried to uninstall but could not find how to. Reinstalled to try again with WIFI but no luck. Looked on the net for help but I'm a bit of a technodolt and got scared. Ended up reinstalling to use the USB connection. Old school way works fine but not why I bought the printer. It may be an issue here with our setup of just a WIFI modem off the cable connection.

Sarge18

Cheers Stephen. Yes, it will print via a USB cable, but that's not why I bought it. I hoped (due to the. Box saying "AirPrint" that Id be able to print directly from this iPad, but..... no. I will visit a computer shop, and buy another wifi printer if they can demonstrate it working from my device, I suppose.
