Have to be seen to believe
I have a very hilly bush block that was covered in lantana. I cleared 4 acers of this thick scrub in a couple of weekends and now I just maintain after poisoning the regrowth. I also took it to a friends house with the same and he was astounded how much we cleared in two days. The blades have hit unseen rocks so many times and hardly show any wear at all. You never see these machines second hand, I think that speaks volumes. "Buy your last mower the first time"

Brilliant!
I saw these and the Grillo's when i was first looking for a ride on when i saw the price tag it scared me off looking as my budget was only $5k.
Purchased a John Deere instead and due to steep hills could never cut everything, all the while i was watching my neighbor on his Razorback cutting everything on hills i would struggle to walk up. Even small branches were chewed up and spat out, stuff that would destroy my John Deere.
I lasted 6months with the John Deere and managed to pick up a well looked after 5yr old 2nd hand 1401 with only 90hr...Read more

Goes anywhere
This mowers brilliant where I had to push a hand mower with football boots now I just sit and mow should have bought one years ago goes everywhere mulching kit not as good as a normal ride on mower can dig up lawn if you turn sharp with 4wd but can be fixed by going back and forth

Know better, choose better.
Should have bought one years ago.
We've pretty much tried them all ( american, australian )and this CMX1402 is the safest and most effective so far if your block is challenging like ours. This thing mows up and down places I can hardly walk. My wife loves mowing but never felt confident and couldn't do the steep sections on any of our other mowers but she finishes the job now with ease. Maintainence isn't a big deal and well set out in the manual although i've only done the 20hr oil change so far. I bought an extra steering knob as I'm a lefty and I didn't want to move it acro...Read more
ss everytime we changed operators. We get around 2.5 hrs per tank depending on the growth and are ok to refuel and keep going after that. The blades have had some big hits (rocks, stumps) and hardly marked. Pricing is up there, but we decided that staying safe was more important than money. Well worth putting on your demo list.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Fantastic mower CM1401
I have owned a razorback for two years now and have never had a problem. They are worth every cent. I mow slopes with high grass, blue couch around the house and it does it with ease. Fuel economy is great as well. I would recommend these mowers for anyone who wants a safe reliable mower capable of almost any type of terrain. Blades last forever and easily replaced..great product.

Canycom CMX1402
Bought the Canycom Razorback CMX1402 about 4 months ago. So far has been a great machine and has done everything asked of it, which at times has been quite a lot. This is the 14hp model so you do notice it struggles a little up a really steep hill with long grass, but it means just taking a small cut each time. This is not a criticism at all, as if you have really tough areas to mow they do recommend the bigger engine model. I have hit many rocks and stumps but in most cases it just breaks the rocks in half. No damage to the machine at al...Read more
l. The 4WD makes a big difference turning on steep slopes and going down step hills and while at $13,000 they aren't cheap, in my case they are worth the money. This is especially so when comparing to other makes which are a similar price.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Unstoppable!!!
This machine is unstoppable! Have had a Razorback (canycom) CMX227 for a couple of years now & still can't believe it, Expect to pay $20k for the 227 but I am now told you can get the same machine with less horse power for $13K :( would have done me. Hit rocks most days I mow & have also hit an old car bonnet ect... all with no damage! They say they will cut saplings 38mm in diameter but I constantly mow lantana aprox 60-80mm in diameter - must be softer. Also doses a good job of the lawn around the house.
- down side... you need to know when to stop because the machine keeps going... owch yes I got a little over confidant - ware long sleeves when mowing lantana :(

These are just unbelievably good
I've been down some slopes that have my heart in my mouth and it doesn't put a foot wrong.
I've hit loads of rocks, tree stumps and old concrete house stumps while cutting through head high grass and the blades just last.
Thick trunks up to about 400mm on lantana, privet and more are handled with ease.
I can't believe this machine. Every time I get on it (which is most days) it impresses me and any customers watching me work just can't believe how good it is.
They are pricey, but worth the money.

Extreme Mower
This mower will go ANYWHERE!!!!
Slopes, wet or dry, rocks, dirt it will do it. I've had It on 50degree inclines with my heart falling through my stomach and I still couldn't push it hard enough.
I have hit old concrete pillars, rocks and fallen trees. The blades are worth every cent!! They take forever to wear out. I've cut privet, blueberries, lantana, grass taller than me. It has never failed.
I've tried so hard to break this machine I don't even think twice about tackling a new obstacle now.
Certainly worth the premium price as all the components are the highest quality.
Extremely high quality, will go any where and cut anything. Really good for overgrown areas and un drivable terrain
People keep asking me to borrow it....

CMX222
We have a CMX 222 ... And as for slopes - well that depends on how adventurous the operator is ... And our machine has done a great job for us.
We have used it in many areas - cutting wet long grass in the rain,,, lantana, saplings etc & Our CMX 222 is for sale
Very good on slopes & wet areas & difficult terrain. Cuts wet grass as good as most machines do in dry conditions. Easy to use
Genuine parts are to expensive :-( but aftermarket parts can be bought that are value for money & do a better job :-).

Best ever Blackberry bush tamer
This unit does more than just mow level lawns. They can be as steep as 25 degrees, and because of it's low centre of gravity, its almost impossible to get it to roll over, even on the steepest of cross traverses. Its blades are more like rotary axes, so even small trees don't stand a chance. Yet there are also extremely easy to change.
Destroys overgrown grass, and medium sized scrub, even on the steepest slopes

Questions & Answers
LJBasked
My Razorback cuts thick heath, sags etc no worries on my property but there’s constant punctures - the tyres are not robust with the treads so wide. Is there a heavy duty tyres available?
1 answer
Hello LJB,
There are other tyres available however the more heavy duty ones wont have as much traction.
Some other options are to solid fill the tyres with foam or Tru Blue goo. Your local dealer should be able to assist with these options, alternatively contact us on 1800 088 567 or [email protected] if you would like to speak to a product representative.
Kind Regards,
The Razorback Team.

G'day Team
I have just purchased a secondhand well used Razorback CMX1402H 14hp with 910 hours on the clock but no owner's manual, service manual or workshop manual. My question is are there any manufacturers manuals available to know what, when and how to service and maintain mower ?
Thanks.

PS . Probably no H maybe just CMX1402.
Does the H refer to the Honda engine ?
As you can see I have no idea.
