Most unprofessional company I have dealt with. Taking my business else where.
I got approved in Oct 19 been waiting 4 months for an installation date. Finally gave me a installation date and installation didn't occur. Didn't communicate with me either about it, I had to keep following up with them.
Provided me a quote and then told me they couldn't do what the quote said 4 months later, kept making excuses and said it was too difficult. installer rude
not easy, installer was rude and dismissive on arrival, after a couple of hours he, removed panels he had installed and walked off the job half way thru without giving a reason, obviously having problems with the company and clearly did not want to do the job, after several calls no response as to reason from captain green solar so went elsewhere and got a better deal and prompt install.

They don't call Captain Green Solar for nothing these guys were brilliant for me and at the TOP of their game from the Initial Conception ( phone calls etc, scheduling etc ) to completion( install) everything was organised and on time. Still waiting for my panels after 2 months. Watch out for the list of excuses for non delivery.
Installation postponed time after time. And after all this I still can't get an installation date. I have to phone in each week to get an update. And now I'm told they can't get the panels. I've paid the deposit on a product and device the company can't deliver on. I've been patient but my patience has now evaporated. Consumer Protection or VCAT are my next options.

Fast, friendly service and installation
I was pleasantly surprised by the efficiency of Captain Green Solar. The sales process was straight forward and easy. The install was done within a week of signing up. Excellent results. My one concern was that one tile was left cracked following the install, and the installers hadn't mentioned it. Thankfully my roofer was willing to check over the install.

Fantastic company to deal with and excellent installation
From start to end the team at Captain Green were fantastic. Malalay was so helpful and so easy to deal with nothing was a problem for her she had arranged Heath and his team to carry out install which was also perfect with no issues whatsoever. I can’t speak highly enough of Captain Green Solar!!! I even compared other systems installed by other companies within a few KM radius of our home and our system performed the best by far.

What a waste of time
Paid in full in December.Panel installation was good, but after this was all the issues. Spelling mistakes in documents supplied.Still waiting for this to be connected correctly and start receiving solar benefits.
Problem with zeversolar whom they use, can’t get on there system .
What a waste of money.
My energy provider has contacted them 4 times to get the information that they need to provide for the meter to be updated. I have also called them and explained the issue with provision required of Ausnet Document .

I rang Captain Green late afternoon and got connected through to Aaron (do your self a favour and speak to Aaron). He was not pushy at all, did not get frustrated when I kept asking a million questions and did not mind running through different options when I wanted to try and fit some panels on our north facing roof. He is very knowledgeable and explained things in detail for me. I spoke to him on the 3/4/19 and the next day after not hearing back from any of the other highly rated companies - I rang him back negotiated a better price and we did a deal and I paid my deposit. After leaving my deposit the other 4-5 companies had submitted their quotes and they were all well over the price I had negotiated with Captain Green! Whilst waiting for authority approval to install I went back and forth with Aaron thinking I had made the wrong decision to go East - West Split. I called him once daily with my concerns but he talked me through it - Worked out what the difference would be and the benefits of either scenario. He even talked me out off adding another system for the northern roof (who tells you to not spend more money). I'm glad he did though as I don't think we will need a system larger than what we have now. His advice was to go with what we had ordered - Run through a few bill cycles and review after that. That's what you want to hear from your sales consultant - Rather than the usual upsell!! From then I was in contact with Dipti who was handling my install - She was understanding (and very helpful) and worked around what dates suited us best. Our system was installed yesterday by Tony (recommended by Aaron) and his team - I cannot speak of them highly enough. They were prompt, very very very polite and efficient. Workman ship quality is perfect! We have a double story house and all cables are hidden - there are no exposed conduits whatsoever. The inverter install is also very neat. They started arrived around 8am and started around 8.30am and were here till after 6pm. Our install was a big job given we had 35 panels and on top of that we had requested the Fronius smart meter which involved alot of extra wiring (most of the work was in the wiring). Everything was left neat and tidy all rubbish was removed. Due to the sun setting Tony was unable to test the system and came back today (Good Friday) and spent an hour with me setting up the inverter and setting up the wifi monitoring on my phone. I was amazed he offered to come back today when he could have said today was a public holiday (which I would have understood). I am truly amazed with the service we have received from Captain Green Solar through out the whole process from Sales through to Install.1 comment

Amazing! Quick! Affordable!
Captain Green Solar and their electrical contractor PSE Electrical were able to get my solar installed quickly and professionally. Was able to install a 6.6KW system without a glitch. System after rebate would pay itself off in under 2 years. Solar generated on a clear day in Autumn has peaked over 30kw. I have been recommended CGS to anyone who is after the best of the budget systems.

More time, trouble and stress than they're worth
My Captain Green Experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. They don't have the expertise they claim, they have poor communication with their installers, they are unable to do things when they say they will and when things don't happen they don't inform you beforehand and you're left having to chase them up to find out what's going on.
It started when I got a quote for a solar system and they told me I could have 5 solar panel put on my carport roof, in addition to panels on the east facing tiled roof. When the installers came they said...Read more
they couldn't install them on that roof unless an additional beam was added for reinforcement. Rather than Captain Green taking responsibility for their error, they just wanted to charge me for what they were able to install - even though the 5kw inverter was bigger than it needed to be without the panels on the carport roof. I ended up having to reinforce the carport roof myself for them to proceed with the installation. Also, the installers had no idea what they were supposed to be doing even though I'd gone through it all in detail with the sales rep, the installers had to call me while I was at work at work to ask where the panels were going and if they were removing the existing solar system. The inverter was not set up properly, and it kept shutting down with 'error code 43'. After some research online, and reading up on the technical standards, I found that the inverter had not been set up properly for the SA power network, even though it's apparently a legal requirement. After logging into the inverter and setting it up as per this document https://www.sapowernetworks.com.au/public/download.jsp?id=9561 the inverter worked correctly. They also didn't install the power meter for export limiting, so my system has been exporting over 5kW to the grid since January. Since reinforcing the carport, I have been told 4 separate times that the installation would be happening in the next few days, but 3 times I heard nothing and had to contact them to find out what was going on, and one time last week I was contacted by the installer to say they can't proceed with the installation because the wrong parts were delivered, even though they did the site inspection 3 weeks earlier giving them plenty of time to source the necessary parts. I still don't know when they're finally going to finish installing my system. The equipment they use seems to be pretty good with regards to the panels and inverters, but from what I've seen they are unable to deliver what they promise with regards to expertise and good customer service.Similar opinion? Disgraceful and misleading
an abominable unreliable company. I was booked so they come to install. I took day off to b home. On the day to install I received a call and they cancelled it. Said to me the next day they will come. Never showed up. Not returning calls. I will It's very disappointing. They never turned up. Was waiting for few month no phone call return nothing . Run AWAY from this company

Terrible Custom Care, Scammers DO NOT USE
There are plenty of other solar companies out there. DO NOT USE THIS ONE. I was awaiting the panels to be installed for 2 months (it took 3 months to get to this point) to then receive a phone call stating that I would need to pay an extra $1500 to proceed as they had not installed the panels on a tiled roof before. I have been reading through other comments below and it seems that this is something they do to con the customer into using their company. As mentioned, it is very rare for Captain Green to do an installation in which the panels are placed with tilts onto a tiled roof. my roof 3 months prior. If you had not noticed that the roof was tiled and on a slant from prior inspection of both photos and a site inspection, the onus should be on the company. It should not be up to the customer to redo everything that had taken so many months to complete. Your company is run in an unprofessional manner and the customer care (especially from the manager) was extremely poor. Arrogance is a trait that does not go down well with anyone, especially a customer that has been asked to fork out more money when a project was meant to be complete, let alone started. From the first step to the completion, all the staff were quite helpful and organised the whole process in a timely manner. I had a good experience with them.
It has been 2 months now. Dominic was my Sales person & he has done a great job in terms of advice and what is best in regards with installation. He was very experienced and professional, however there were some slight issues with the admin department due to my place being new.

the one where in the month of November 2018 "A Month of Rain in 2 hours" (As a reminder if you have a new home & do not want to void your warranty then do not touch the roof). This unfortunately caused my place to leak. Before the incident happened Jay had already informed me that there were leakages and was partly caused by the developer's defects. We have since been in contact many times with yourself in regards to your installation, at that stage all our customers were notified we had a slight delay before Christmas and we would be at na installation around the first week of Feb in 2020 - As soon as they returned to work we booked in a site scope at your property. When the Installation Team were on site you were notified by them that if a 6.6 kw system would be quite expensive given the nature of your property and was not realistic to do. At no stage were you advised that the 6.6kW system was viable - You would only be able to export 2kw to the grid - The extra costings was not included in the scope of works & the additional costs involved were not feasible. - You stated you could not have conduit showing due to your body corporate.. Which also complicated the matter further. - Your request for placement of the panels were not pracitcal either. Our team has always accomodated your requests to the best of their ability, but due to the additional requests being variations to your original order we were not able to proceed with the installation as you were not willing to come to the table with relation to the variations. Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvinence caused. Captain Green Team
