Not even worth the 1 star
Our property was transferred to Coronis just after we had signed our notice of intention to leave. For this reason, we had to return our keys and exit condition report to Coronis. 14 days after exiting, I called to find out what was happening with the bond. I was informed that someone needed to return to check the water meter to make sure our exit condition report matched. Before this was done, I was asked how we would like to pay for excess water. Confused, I asked for them to check the meter before any decisions would need to be made about ex...Read more
cess usage. Shortly after, sure enough, in came an excess water bill for over $260 and a request for us to inform them if we wanted this to come out of our bond or pay some other way. Confused, I contacted Coronis and ended up in a back and forth dispute. Tired of the drama, I emailed and requested that this not come out of our bond but we pay this into a bank account, I asked for bank account details and never received a response. I emailed a further three times to request information to pay this amount into but never received replies. Eventually, I re-examined the water bill and realised that they were not charging us the excessive water we used but the entire state bulk water and tier 1 consumption. I sent an email to show Coronis the calculations were incorrect and requested that they take a look at the bill again. Not surprisingly, I heard nothing back. Then our bond came back, minus the water bill. Coronis had taken it upon themselves to deduct the bill from our bond even though I asked them not to and requested on several occasions to bank account details passed on to us. I contacted the RTA and lodged a dispute resolution. We came to a compromise on the amount for the water bill and were refunded part of our bond that Coronis was claiming. This was a good enough result, the property manager claimed to the RTA that she could see the error in her calculations and made adjustments. All was done with, until this afternoon, 20 days after we had finalised the dispute, we received another water bill from Coronis, covering the period for which we had already disputed and paid. First thing I did was call Coronis, reception was 'out' and I had been redirected to another office, the receptionist took my details to pass on claiming someone would call me back, didn't happen. I found the property manager's mobile number, I called it, voicemail, left a message, no reply. Finally, I emailed to point out all the facts, that we had paid this bill and that I didn't believe we owed them any more money. I have directly requested a response to that email but know very well that this will not happen. So, back I go to the RTA with a further dispute resolution all because of a real estate who either really don't know what they are doing, or really like to try and screw people over. I'm guessing it's the latter. From all this drama, I am so glad that we were exiting our property when Coronis took over, I can only imagine the horrors we would endure if we were still at the property. I feel sorry for the people who are currently residing in that property and for the property owner who is such a nice person. The only good thing to come out of this is that I now know that I will never rent or buy from Coronis.

Misleading, lack of communication, horrible service
When we first moved into the property they were nice enough, then when it came time to fixing things in the apartment like promised we began to hear less and less from them. Soon moving out all these extra charges that were not explained started coming out of nowhere! Horrible contact between agent, not flexible at all on the different way to pay rent. I can honestly say I will never rent or buy with Coronis EVER!

Landlord’s nightmare
A business development manager approached us and said they were committed, professional and always prompt in their dealings with landlords. As we have had bad experiences with our first managing agent we thought we’d give them a go and appointed Coronis, Sunnybank as our rental manger. Well what a mistake!! It was obviously a sales pitch to lure us into a dysfunctional agency.
We had Coronis manage our investment property for about one year, and what a nightmare we had with them.

Stay Clear of Springfield Lakes Office
Moving in we were greeted with a Notice to Leave in our letter box - obviously posted by mistake but no apology was given. After months and months trying to get a key for the letterbox, trying to get the pool serviced as per the contract, and having the leaking aircon fixed we eventually gave up.
The office seem to have a high staff turnover and we lost track of who was our "new" property manager. Emails and voice mails are not returned and when the property manager is on leave nobody else pick up the emails sent to the office.
We just vaca...Read more
ted the property after 2 years and the service level during that time has been non-existing. At one stage we were actually looking at purchasing a house through Coronis. The open inspection was scheduled for a Saturday morning and when we turned up with 4 other interested couples the agent never showed up. I called the office and was told the open inspection had been cancelled. Coronis Springfield Lakes - not only did you fail your 101 property management duties you don't want to sell houses either. It makes me wonder how you are staying in business. What a joke - Coronis - you Springfield Lakes office is damaging your brand and I would never consider renting, buying or selling a house through you again.

Very disappointed
I just sat at a house ready to veiw for 50 minutes waiting for the real estate person to show up the viewing time was made a 2:00 this afternoon. The realestate person could not be contacted and I then discovered that the property has been removed because it is rented. The lady never got told apparently. So where is the communication very unorganised and inconsiderate get your act together and stop stuffing people around. I now know to stay away from this realestate.

Customer Service
We'd just like to acknowledge the wonderful customer service we have received from Ashleigh Flack (Assistant Property Manager) Coronis Caloundra . Since coming on board we have found Ashleigh's friendly, approachable nature very refreshing. She has consistently dealt with all aspects of our needs as investment property owners promptly & efficiently from maintenance issues, routine inspections & lease renewals. Incompetent Agents, Miscommunication, Constant Changing Of Agents, No Organisation
Worst real estate out there. No clients go to them so they purchase smaller real estate companies and screw over their tenants and landlords. Double banger. Doesn't matter how high you go up they all offer the same response and will try to stuff you over.
If you want want drama go to Coronis.

Landlords and sellers avoid
We were transferred to Coronis Forest Lake when our Real Estate Agents sold their business. In that time there was a little confusion on handover as to rent being paid and statement. Understandable to a degree.
The main concerns on this post are:
Our current tenant asked about a large volume of personal items in the garage about a month after they had commenced renting. This indicates no exit inspection was done for the previous tenants. We were fortunate the tenant disposed of the item and cost was not passed to us.
We recently visited...Read more
the property and were very disappointed to find out from the tenant a myriad of problems. One of these was a faulty light switch - a clear safety hazard needing immediate attention. One problem they advised the handyman had looked at and never returned. We arranged to fix all the problems whilst we were there, so not quite sure what Coronis is doing. Unfortunately we thought it might be easier to sell the property via Coronis as we had it tenanted with them. Very good sales pitch to us. Very confident of getting our price - it was apparently within the expected range. We did get one acceptable offer and several unacceptable ones. The acceptable one we even signed contracts. Several weeks later we were asked to initial a part of the contract. We advised they were our initials. When Coronis asked the buyers to initial that part, the buyers advised they had lost interest some time ago. So Coronis did not stay in touch, follow-up or do anything you would expect. I complained on their website. 4 months and still not even a follow-up. They then sent a letter to us advising to drop the price to below even the unacceptable offers and $50,000 below what they had stated they could get. When contacted, the area manager had not looked at the file, had no information on the property and was simply sending letters to property owners to try to lower the price so they could get the commision.2 comments

Disgraceful Communication and Attempted Bullying
We were off to a bad start when I viewed the property and was aggressively attacked by the fleas still infesting the carpets and the dishwasher had mouse, and cockroach crap through it. It took further pest control visitations to fix this problem. I was informed, unprofessionally, of the previous tenants 'drug habits' and 3 dogs which had left the house and yard in a bit of a mess. Evidence of which I was still finding in the back yard 6 months later.
Then the fun really started.

Disorganised and dishonest.
A position was advertised for a sales trainee to enter Coronis at Springfield.
I applied with no experience, because why not dream big, and landed an interview with a Hiring Manager who I will not name.
The position was advertised at a $40 000 base wage plus commissions. During the interview I was informed that at the end of a two month traineeship I would receive a $40 000 bonus and instantly be granted a License. I thought this a little too good to be true but gave it a crack anyway.
After completing the interview I was lead from ...Read more

Excellent Coronis Agent
Agent Colin Pomery is very professional, at the same time genuinely empathetic to the stress
experienced selling our beloved rural property, downsizing into retirement.
Coronis has been a one stop shop for service which makes things very easy.
Colin has secured a contract for our rural property within weeks where other agents have failed over 3 years. A genuine thank you Colin Pomery and the entire Coronis team.

Coronis Coorparoo - dishonest, lazy, and incompetent
Staff here are not very helpful, dishonest, and quite lazy. Have been directly lied to by staff multiple times. Rachel is the worst, closely followed by Emma, and all the others. Bond clean not done by last tenant cus the property manager was too lazy to actually inspect it, no deep cleaning was done and they just immediately refunded the prior tenants bond despite there being mold in the bathroom and dust and dirt all over the windows. Avoid them.

Dirty tactics, untrustworthy staff
Disgusted in dirty tactics displayed by Coronis Forest Lake staff of recent. After losing interest in purchasing a house in our local area (them being agents for the vendor), their staff got wind that we were privately purchasing a nearby block of land instead. Whilst maintaining contact with us and pretending to be happy with our newfound situation, they saw dollar signs and took it upon themselves to approach the land owners behind our backs, promising them bigger $$$ and buyers who could offer much more than we could. Well their plan backfir...Read more

an absolute failure as management agents
We were transferred to Coronis at Kelvin Grove when our agent sold their rental list.
They have been a failure from early on.
Failed to pay Rates and water charges on more than one occasion then paid the water rates twice in a week???
Failed to transfer the lease without changes.
Carried out work they were not authoriser to do on three occasions even after being notified about the error.
Failed to renew a lease as instructed.
Fail to return my call on numerous occasions.
DO NOT USE THIS AGENT.

Hi Julianne, thanks for your question. If you would like to vacate your current rental property, you just need to provide your property manager with 14 days notice in writing. However, if you're able to provide more notice it is always greatly appreciated. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Hi, if i were you i will give two weeks only, i try to do the right thing and gave notice weeks prior and ended up having the real state bringing potential tenants twice a week till we left.
