Great ceramic bowl but the heater element/base is a bit cheap and lightweight

published

The slow cooker is fantastic but I have to worry whether the unit will last the test of time. The base unit is pretty poorly made and doesn't feel high quality. The bowls/trays are great and very heavy. I can't tell when I will use the split offering bowl.

Easy to use, easy to clean, fool proof cooking which is what I need with with a busy lifestyle. I have made curries, ragu, pulled pork, lamb shanks and all have come out perfectly. Thanks Crock-Pot.

Excellent slow cooker

published

Fantastic sized slow cooker - great for entertaining or big families. Extremely easy to use and looks lovely on the bench top. It is so easy to clean which makes cleaning up after the kids have gone to bed an absolute breeze!
I've made curries, red wine beef cheeks and ragu. All turned out perfectly.
The only thing I would change is to add the ability to sear meat before slow cooking to add extra flavour.

Simple and failproof

published

The interface is simple, choose high/low and the timer - Easy! Once the cook time stops it will switch to warm mode so no need to panic in the middle of the night. Build quality is fine and the dual comparments are excellent if you're not cooking for 10 people.

Slow Cook King!

published

I am a big fan of slow-cooking, especially having the ability to create a delicious pulled pork for taco night - it feeds everyone with minimal effort when they come around! Looking forward to branching out and getting stuck into cooking curries.

Something old is new agian!

published

The CHP600 is so easy to use I had to read the instructions a few times to realise there is so little to do to get a perfect result. My favourite thig to cook is rendang but I have used it for mexican meals and osso bucco as well. The unit is so easy to clean and the cooker ceramic dish comes out as new after cleaning. The 'High' setting is great for browning and braising in the same pan then using the 'Low' setting for hours of slow cooking.

When cooking with the smaller divided crock, do you nest it inside the bigger crock or just put it in the base on it's own?

Hello John Doe,
Only one crock insert may be used at a time during cooking. For more tips on how to use please see manual here: https://www.crockpot.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/CHP600-IB.pdf
