Very good Like choice of different programs
Washes dishes very well. Nice and quiet Better than my previous dishwasher. Like the cutlery drawer. Only small problem is that there is not enough space between the racks Dinner plates and tall glasses only JUST fit. Wine glasses are bit too tall to stand up in the drawer so need to go in at an angle

Disappointed
I'm very disappointed with my purchase. Got my dishwasher last year, from next day it start making lots of noise I thought that the way it work unfortunately it stoped working straight away. Plumper said it got pump problem and cost lot of money to fix. i won't recommend this product to any one. Better buy any other brand with extended warranty.

Don't buy this dishwasher
I have had this dishwasher since 3rd August 2015 it seemed to be good when we first bought it, though there was an issue with the front panel coming off and had to get a technician in to fix it It's main cycle is very long so usually use the 1 hour cycle. It no longer cleans my dishes properly the cups are quite often dirty and we have to wash everything by hand. We have hit and miss days, put a load through yesterday, just taken it out, managed to have only 1 dirty plate but had to dry pretty much everything. No longer put the cutlery in a...Read more
s it was coming out dirty, also glasses came out dirty, so no longer put them in. When I phoned to get a technician out I was told to clean the filter, it wasn't even dirty, so I am waiting for a dirty dish day to call them again. Also only half of the tablet is used and is often lying on the bottom of the dishwasher. I sometimes use powder to see if it makes a difference. I had a Technika for 7 years which never missed a beat. Would not buy another DeLonghi dishwasher.1 comment

Working well so far
This is the first dishwasher that we had to buy. It has been a good buy so far. we have clean dishes every wash. It has good cutlery tray and we can fit all our dishes including big pots 99% of the time. The only minor issues is the blade can be in the way at time, however once we worked it out to put it in the middle it's not a problem. Overall a good buy for the price we paid.

Great dishwasher
Really pleased with my new dishwasher . It looks really good and is easy to use. The dishwasher cleans all of my dishes really well, even the dishes that havent been rinsed. It has a really good water rating which is why i initially bought it. Its also a really good price.

Perfect I don't know what we did without it
It dries the dishes really well and as for the cleaning I have washed things that I thought were clean but when they came out of it were heaps cleaner. I use the Aldi dishwasher tablets and they are great
It is very quiet you don't even know they are on.
It is very easy to use and you can pack more than you think into them.
My favourite feature is the rapid wash as sometimes you don't have a full load and this does an amazing job just like the full load

Love it
Great dishwasher, easy to use. Took awhile to get used to putting cutlery on the top rack instead of a basket. Great idea saves room. Middle basket is adjustable allowing for smaller plates/bowls if needed & easier if you slant the plates in the direction of the wire racks provided. For larger dinner plates like mine fit without any issues in the bottom basket with the middle basket raised. Also holds pots etc in the bottom basket. We are a couple & it does the job well for us.

Great machine for the price
We purchased this after having an Ariston for two years which was the worst appliance I have ever owned. The Delonghi was not expensive ($600) but it more than does the job. Not quite as good as Dishlex but quieter and folding racks are fabulous. I don't use it for wine glasses as the top shelf is not very tall but I love the separate cutlery rack -just like a Miele!

Worst dishwasher out
Whilst it cleans dishes well it is not efficient as side plates, tumblers and cereal bowls do not fit on the top shelf, hence most items end up on the bottom rack. Must admit it is quiet, however I cannot list one favourite feature. Running costs are increased because of space availability and the racks cannot be moved down to make it more functional, consequently it has to be run through more frequently. Definitely would not recommend buying this dishwasher.

My first dishwasher is very ordinary
After studying the manual I realised that if you don't use rinse aid the dishes will not dry. Also I thought the cutlery tray was a really great idea, except that my glasses don't fit if I raise the level of the tray up to fit the plates!. I messaged DeLonghi customer care and response was to remove the cutlery tray and just use the two trays. I responded: could I have a basket then - answer was NO - not designed to hold a basket. So basically if I can't wash my cutlery in the dishwasher and plates( normal size) and glasses don't fit - then its not really fit for purpose?

Good solid appliance at a reasonable price and sufficient functionality
Bought this item as a 1 year old used machine to replace a 20 year old Miele. It's quiet, easy to install (connected to existing plumbing from old machine) and does the job. We are a family of 5 and it holds all our usual crockery, cutlery, pots and pans etc. It doesn't have a heating element to dry (our old Miele did) however it does heat the water and the items are warm/hot at the end and come out relatively dry - the lack of element also avoids any melted plastic containers on the element. Only two issues are:
1. The height of the mid...Read more
dle rack is too low to bottom - the washer has the ability to adjust (raise) the middle rack, which we did, so large plates etc. fit in the bottom rack fine - however, this results in the middle rack being a little to close to the cutlery rack to have tall glasses etc fit in the middle rack; and 2. There is a catch in the middle rack which locks into the middle sprayer to hold it in place - with the middle rack adjusted up, it's a little tricky to get the catch to engage. Both issues are minor and overall very happy with the appliance, naturally replacing a 20 year old unit with a 1 year old one, you would want to see some improvement. If I could afford it, I would likely buy a Miele as my next DW, however they are SO expensive - kinda' do get what you pay for however.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Worst Dishwasher, only 5 months old, already broken and taken away for repairs
This dishwasher looked good in the shop where it should be left. We started having trouble with it and called in a repairman on our warranty. He had no idea how to fix it, asked if we had turned it on and off and then left! Had to call service back and then they took it away in November That was 5 weeks ago and we are still waiting! We have to rely on this Delonghi approved local technician, which has proved to be a poor choice by Delonghi.
It is also good to note that the dishwasher doesn't dry the dishes even on the absolute longest cycles. We have to leave the door open to let things dry after every wash.

How can you not love this dishwasher
This dishwasher has been a perfect addition to the home.
Its very quiet, the normal cycle is 2.45 hours which I use if full and very dirty dishes. There is an hour cycle that cleans just as well for cups and cutlery and if not too full etc. I like the digital display which counts down the remaining time so you know how long till it finishes.
A clean sink at the end of the night makes me happy

Great Value
This dishwasher was good value for money. It washes our dishes perfectly and is fairly quiet at the same time. Compared to our old SMEG it is much quieter. If you give the dishes a decent rinse before starting you can usually get away with the one hour cycle. I would recommend this product if you are looking for a cheaper dishwasher.

Dirty dishes at the end of cycle
DEDW645W purchased from Appliances online in November 2015.
This dishwasher is performing very badly.
I have to wash many of the dishes after they have been through the dishwasher.
Small particles of food are re-sprayed over the dishes and collected in the bottom of upside down cups and glasses.
The cutlery is often greasy and not clean.
I have persevered but have never had to intervene so much with a dishwasher.
The spray arms are continually blocked and need to be removed and cleaned after every wash.
I always check the height of the upper tray to ensure the arms aren't blocked by large plates, lids, etc. cannot wash tall glasses in top tray and large dinner plates in bottom tray together.
Update Dec 2016.

Under-rated; killer value
Bought from Good Guys on sale. Don't be dissuaded by the low price tag - competitors are over-priced. This machine offers excellent value for money.
I specifically wanted the upper cutlery tray and am glad I chose it. Although tedious to load, it washes better (no more rice stuck in fork prongs) and allows more room for dishes below. The glasses tray is adjustable by pressing a blue lever. Unlike others, I have not experienced a tradeoff between wine glasses and dinner plates.
Am impressed with the quality; compared to Smeg/Omega/Euro/Wh...Read more
irlpool, this machine has a thicker door and more soundproofing = quieter wash. It makes cute little beeping sounds and has a clear LCD display. It washes well and dries efficiently - the trick is to leave the door ajar after the cycle finishes (as with all dishwashers)2 comments
One consequence of a high water rating is recycling of rinse water. It's important to rinse off insoluble solids (like toast crumbs and pepper corns) or they will stick to cups and glasses.
After 2.5 years (and out of warranty), the racks starting rusting. 1 phone call to Delonghi and they posted out new ones for free. Top service.

Acceptable dishwasher, now happy with it. discovered some tips that may help
Just bought a house and the machine came with it. Initially thought the machine performance was poor but managed to get it working pretty well, now happy with it. We've had loads that have washed very well, loads that came out dirty. What I've learnt is- this is one that you need to do some degree of quick pre-rinsing (compared to more expensive ones you can just chuck dirty dishes in). The washer arms often get blocked so you need to check them quite frequently to see if there's food stuck in the spray holes. The middle rack is adjustable so y...Read more
ou can move up if you have taller dishes underneath. or down if you have taller glasses, so can't have both tall glasses and tall/normal plates (We discovered this a month later after not being able to fit in our standard plates). Now it cleans well most of the time. Otherwise it's pretty quiet, and I like how occasionally I can just wash the top section or bottom section only when I have half a load. Like others, I've noticed it doesn't dry that well, but it helps to leave the door a little ajar at the end of the cycle, and come back after an hour or so.Similar opinion? Is it safe to connect to hot water supply?
2 answers
I don't see why it wouldn't be safe ...but I don't deal with dishwashers for a living. If you're concerned, it's best to confirm with an independent party like a plumber (salesmen will tell you what you want to hear and the manufacturer will take the conservative route to avoid any liability).
Thanks for your prompt reply.
Further investigation suggests that if the temperature does not exceed 60C
hot water is, as you suggested, safe! There are other views available, but I am
happy with, safe.
Thank you.

ber hooked up my hose directly into the hot water outlet. After a period of time my hose was being affected, and no water was coming through to my dishwasher, the serviceman pulled my dishwasher out a little way, and I have had no further problems. Everything is being washed and dried perfectly. Needless to say I had to pay the serviceman as it wasn't a warranty issue. Just glad I now have a dishwasher that is working as I have family staying.
