Great meals highly recommend
Everyone in our family loves dinnerly. My children are cooking a meal from it every week, which shows you how simple the instructions are to follow. Dinnerly saves not only money from me visiting the supermarket less but also my time. I love not having to think about what to cook for tea. The meals are healthy. You only require some of the basic ingredients on hand at home which is easy and you get plenty of notice to have it there ready. It is great value for money. Love it.

Cheap, but not very good
I tried almost all services and so far Dinnerly was the last favourite. Cannot complaint about quality of the products, however meals were OK, too many things I need to get from my own pantry (garlic, etc) and digital recipe is very not convenient, no photos and not detailed description. Overall Ok if you want to save money.

Tasty meals but they lose the point of their service. Customer has to provide too many of the ingredients themselves.
When you get recipes where you have to provide 1 egg, mayonnaise, garlic cloves and balsamic vinegar and Dinnerly only provide 5 ingredients they are losing the reason why people order this service.
Other than basics, olive oil, salt and pepper, everything else should be provided. I have to buy 6 eggs, so i can make 1 meal and then waste 5 eggs, which is the reason I use these services in the first place, for convenience and to avoid wastage.
I don't eat red meat and I wish they had more fish and interesting vegetarian dishes. Overall the meal...Read more

Good value for money if you can live with the little less extras
Firstly, I have used all the food delivery services where you get to cook it yourself. I like to cook and I don't like precooked meals so I do not get the precooked options. Dinnerly is by far the cheapest. There is a reason why... and here they are:
1. You generally don't get as many ingredients. Example you need to provide your own garlic and tomato paste unlike Marley spoon or Hello fresh. Not a big deal as we have it laying around the house.
2. You do NOT get PRINTED recipe cards. You need to use the app, or print your own from their websit...Read more

Very disappointed
After using dinnerly for a frw times I put the orders on hold for the maximum time. Forgetting 6 weeks later I received a box of food I would never have chosen (all vegetarian - (kale, chick peas etc). I called to cancel and was prompted to press 1 and someone would call you back -after no one did 3 times I sat on hold only to be told that it was too late and my next box would be delivered. This again was meals I would not eat - all vegetarian as per the last delivery . Customer service was rude and unhelpful and quoted to “read the terms an...Read more

Dinnerly is NOT about the customer
I bought what I thought was a one-off purchase until we gave it a go. Instead I realised I had been charged for the following week, 8 days before the order was due to be delivered and one day before my fist order was delivered!
I wrote an email to ask for either a cancellation (refund) or change my food choices 6 days (Tues) before the next delivery was due on the Monday. No one responded until the Thursday night. I called Friday and they refused to refund my purchase and they refused to change my food choices...even though I told them I would ...Read more

2 meals being pasta and little else, it really doesn't resonate with me that it would have been too difficult to change. Given I contacted you 6 days before the order was delivered, this just doesn't wash with me. Avoid! Missing ingredients and boring recipes
We tried Dinnerly for 2 weeks and were very disappointed. The ingredients were just thrown together in the box except for the freezer items, which were kept in a freezer bag, and didnt have the polish of Hello Fresh, who we have also tried. We were missing fetta from 1 of the dishes to make the chorizo salad, so that ruined dinner one night, and the list of ingredients we had to purchase is as follows:
balsamic vinegar
olive oil
soy sauce
vegetable oil
white vinegar
garlic
tomato paste

We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the Dinnerly experience. We do offer a more 'no frills' option in regards to other meal kit providers. We use less packaging, which is why your ingredients were not separated into individual dishbags, and ask our customers to have more pantry basics on hand. Helping us provide a lower priced meal kit. Having an ingredient missing from your box, is definitely not up to standard and we do apologise for this. We invite you to reach out to our Customer Care team to assist you as well as if you have any further feedback to provide. Thanks DinnerlySimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Really?
I kept getting ads for dinnerly in email and social so I thought I'd give it try for a week. Definately not worth $99 and didn't enjoy it. I understand that it's a budget Marley and Spoon product but it doesn't meet the mark. When I went to cancel I found they'd charged me for another week of recipes I don't even like either (sidenote: soooo it wasn't a trial as per the advertisement and was snookered into some kind of subscription?) I told them to keep their box and $109.

Waste of money
Revieved our first box, not even $99 worth of food in there, some packs of meat a few caspicaums, tinned tomatoes, spring onion,
Then try to assemble our first meal... Fail, the noodles were missing, move to the second one, the pasta is missing. Check the rest of the ingredients, seasoning not there . Attempt the 3rd meal as ithers had missing irems that ill have to go get And the smell of the chicken was horrible!
Absolute rip off. What a joke!

Great value - Excellent Ethical Food - Serious Reduction in Stress
Thanks Dinnerly - I've enjoyed other food boxes in the past but usually last a couple of months and can't justify the expense. My family has been getting Dinnerly for 5 nights a week now for 6 months - at $22 per meal delivered ... it's fabulous ($109 for 5 main meals for 4 people). I appreciate that standard on food ethics (the way animals have been raised) haven't been dropped, receiving free range pork and chicken every time is appreciated and such a good thing to do. As we get 5 meals a week, food waste is negligible. Keep aiming to reduce ...Read more
the plastic wrappings - only occasionally does something appear to be over packaged. In the 6 months, I've never had any ingredients missing. With such a huge variety of options - there is always something exciting to try and options that the kids (11 and 13) will eat - also a great way to get the kids cooking. We usually have enough left over for lunches as well. We travel a lot - so the flexibility to skip weeks easily - so far ahead is brilliant. Thanks for making my life easier.1 comment

Great service
We've been using this service for over a month now (usually 5 meals per week) and have been quite pleased with it.
There's a good variety of meals to choose from each week and we have no trouble picking at least 5. The meals range in complexity and preparation time. The finished product ranges in appeal (some have been really great and there have been none that have been less than adequate), but we're generally enjoying dinner a lot more than we have in a long time.
Benefits include having the ingredients conveniently delivered to our door, ...Read more
not having a lot of waste leftover afterwords like we do when we go grocery shopping for unplanned meals, and not having things go out of date and thrown out. Using Dinnerly has added a lot more variety to our meals since we're cooking things that weren't part of our usual repertoire. It is better quality than the meal kits we might otherwise get. And our diets have been healthier overall. I'm a fussy eater, but I've also found it possible to adapt meals to my taste (e.g. leaving out sweet potato for myself and letting everyone else have it, or having peanuts on the side instead of mixing it in my salad). One caveat is that every recipe expects that you'll have some basic ingredients on hand. For the most part, they are correct about what we have in stock. But somtimes there are items that might not usually be in your cupboard, like worchester sauce. But you can check out ahead of time what ingredients you are expected to have. The quality of the ingredients is quite good. Vegetables are fresh and crispy, meat lean and tastey. Thus far we've only had one ingredient missing from a box, which was disappointing (although we're talking about 1 ingredient out of a couple hundred so far), but after contacting Dinnerly they gave us a credit towards purchasing it on our own. I'm not sure how it compares to all similar services in quality (we tried YouFoodz and I prefer Dinnerly), but in terms of price it is also the best service we've found.1 comment

OK if time poor
Can only cater for part of the week and recipes need to be supplemented with required ingredients that aren’t included, but otherwise not a bad option to: 1) re-energise tired recipes with new ideas and 2) make thinking about dinner easy and convenient. Also a bit more expensive if buying your own groceries, but you are paying for convenience.

Best thing I’ve ever for my family
Joining up with Dinnerley has been the best thing I’ve done for my family. Every week I struggled trying to work out what to cook to make the family happy, I was struggling and started to hate grocery shopping. Then I saw an add come up and thought why not give this a go and I would never go back now. Every week I go through the meal plans and pick meals that my family would enjoy or try something different from the normal dinners we used to eat. It’s been the most stress free and quick and easy meals for dinner. I always highly recommend it to my family & friends and take photos of my meals and share them around.

I received my delivery last Sat and went to make the beetroot pasta and salad tonight to find that the salad leaves are slimy and the beetroot soft and withered. The ingredients should be good for the week. It's only 4 days from delivery. I also have another salad bag to use tomorrow and there is no way that one will be edible. This is such a shame as I love the flavours and recipes. What has happened? Very disappointing. Fay Sinclair. Coburg North

They need that to cover the cost of your first box which is probably at a reduced price or free! If the box is free then it is to cover delivery. They are easy to deal with, the food is great and are an Australian company as far as I know. I believe them to be an honest and reputable company! SMc
