Followed the somewhat unclear instructions implicitly, could not get this thing to leave a "disc" as suggested by the illustrations.
The dispenser just squirts a huge uncontrolled blob of goo on the toilet bowl. tried it twice, it seemed to have run out at that point. Cleaned the mess off the bowl, threw the dispenser away. Rubbish. Cannot possibly recommend this product.

Purchased twin refill but unable to load either of the refills onto the dispenser. Can only get as far as the first button. Something has changed but I can’t see what it could be. Waste of money. Very unhappy

My favourite was the green one the scent however was overpowering for some in the house so I bought the blue one which has a lighter smell but still does its job. But now I found the orange scent and I love the smell of it is not too light and not too overpowering either. The discs I have had no issues with yet.They were on special too a bonus for me.

We have purchased this product for around 18 months now and always at Woolworths in Cannon Hill Qld.
The last 2 occasions have been an absolute disappointment, mainly due to your packaging failures.
When using the applicator it fails to stop at dispensing one dose at a time and the entire tube is spread into the toilet bowl. We decided to give your product one more try but it also was hopeless.

My review is the gel that looks like the flower of life.
Why is it a flower of life change the design of the gel. I do not like the flower of life being put in a toilet and washed away

Plenty of the low level stars are complaining about how it looks. The product sticks to the bowl, lasts a while, and I like the smell of the citrus disk. And when it comes out of the dispenser, sure some it still stays inside (not half) but that will be used for the next application. The actual lid was designed to keep that in mind. Its not like the thing is wasted. These people just do not read the instructions.

Have been using these for years now and find them to be great. Always best to clean and dry toilet bowl before application for longer lasting effect. Sometimes degrade slightly faster during heat of Australian Summer, otherwise happy with a few weeks use per disc before needing replacement. I will continue to buy.

The idea is good however the product is bad. Most of the gel stays in the bottom of the applicator & only a tiny amount sticks to the toilet. Then if you press the button again nothing more comes out. How ever after the 3rd click you get a big splodge. Maybe they should rename it duck splodge and advertise 2 uses instead of the apparent 6!

The product is supposed to leave a gel disc. It leaves a tiny blob. Then using the next hole leaves just a greater blob, but most of the gel stays within the dispenser. Then putting the cap back on doesn't really work as there's a heap of leftover gel that didn't adhere to the toilet bowl. Previous Aldi disc worked way better however didn't last long so the drawcard of the Toilet Duck brand was that each disc lasts 7 weeks.... unsure how to gauge that when a proper disc doesn't get dispensed!

Has made my apartment smell like a toxic waste dump - even with the lid down when not in use. Definitely doesn’t smell like lavender.
The applicator and concept however seem like a good idea.

I've bought these for years and have always loved them, however the last 3 I've had just doesn't work. I'm sure the size of the 'buttons' or cylinder have changed as the discs do not come out properly! As many others have said it comes out in a blob. I want to contact Johnson, but was put off by the possible sharing of information. I'm in the UK and would prefer a contact address here. Unless they are changed back to original, I won't be wasting my money on them. Shame, because they served me well for many years.

It came out as a tiny misshapen blob, so I squeezed it down an extra notch and it spooled out as an even larger misshapen blob. The scent is overpowering . Useless gimmick.
HINT!: There is a product similar that actually works! And I should have stuck with it... 'Power Force Toilet Gel Discs' (@ Aldi).

Strikes me as a dangerous gimmick.
The packet spells out that the gel is "Harmful to aquatic organisms, may cause long-term adverse effects to the aquatic environment". How such a products sale can be justified beats me!
Add to that the large amount of plastic needed to construct the gel holder and this is an even greater problem.

Good product smells nice "but" melts away after a few days doesn't last the distance, I wouldn't buy again waste of money, I can live with out this product for freshening my toilet.

When it s about cleaning the toilet, it s just so hard to not find it disgusting. I love byuing this product as i know i don t really need to got to close to the toilet and don t need to do anything when the product is running out. So, i love it for how simple it is to use and dispose.

Smells really nice after every flush and gives a clean feel to the toilet. However, the disc falls/melts away after few days (dont know if its because of really hot temperature during the day).

I find under the rim toilet cleaners to be unhygienic with the plastic holder hanging over the bowel. I found the discs and wouldn't use anything else. They last around 3 weeks, smell nice (not over powering) and i can clean our toilet properley.

As like many of the other reviews on this site, I followed the instructions and just one little blob came out then when I tried again all of the gel gathered in the top of the dispenser rather than on the toilet bowl. I won’t be buying this again.

I tried this product years ago and wasn't happy with the results. So years later I thought i'd give it a try again the product applicator May of improved. Wrong! Not easy to use at all. I moved the handle down releasing the gel into the inside rim of the toilet and a little dab came out. So moved the handle down again dabed the rim of the toilet. More of the je gel attached to the rim but not a lot this time I pushed tbe handle down again and the whole lot came out. Not buying this again. The she house now smells. Ir's making my cats sneeze too. Dreadful product.
