PREFECT BUT BATTERY IS NOT STRONG
My wife is very happy with this, its very easy to use. But the bad thing is the battery is not strong, only allow you use around 20 minutes. Recommend.

Amended review
After being contacted by Dyson after a battery problem with my Stick Vac, I felt I should change my review of an otherwise great product. I would be lost without my Dyson Absolute. It fills in where my large corded Dyson that only my husband and cleaner use. This was bought as a gift for me as I don't like any mess on my floor, as I cannot use my other Dyson vacuum. The one I had prior to this one lasted 10 years so I look forward to its great design and ease of use. Thanks to the Dyson team for their awesome service

Best cordless vacuum
This is the best cordless vacuum cleaner on the market. I've owned it for 2 years now and haven't had a problem with it. No matter the surface it vacuums exceptionally well. I'm amazed at the power of it especially on max mode. If you give all the filters and accessories a good clean often, then it will work as good as new for as long as you have it.

Good for about 2 years, then dead
Worked great while it lasted for the 2 and a bit years. Then, stopped charging.
So far Dyson support isnt able to diagnose the root cause.
Perhaps the $699 investment for 2 years, wasnt great after all.
For premium products from Dyson, e.g the new $1000 + v11, Dyson should support with a 5 year warranty

Worth it
Very very good suction only thing is needing to remove hair that gets caught often and not very handy with car carpets but other than that very easy to use.

Worth the price
It is good. Powerful battery could last bit longer but I guess it’s enough to cover 3 rooms. I have carpet and tiles floor. Works really good on tiles. Motorhead get jammed with hair.

Shonky Product and After Sales Experience
Purchased Dyson V6 Absolute 3/5/16 from major retailer. Upon the advice of salesperson took out Product Care as they advised to cover ourselves for battery. Battery has failed but surprise, surprise Product Care will not cover a replacement so that means I have a vacuum cleaner in excellent condition (minus battery) that I will have to toss onto landfill. Also am out of pocket for $800.00 which to a pensioner is a lot of money to waste as well as having to purchase a new vacuum cleaner. Would never ever recommend Dyson and taking out Product Care is just throwing money away.

Doesn't Charge and useless Customer Service
Having previously owned a Dyson Upright Vacuum cleaner and been very disappointed with it, my wife in her infinite wisdom, brought home the new Dyson V6 Slim.
In her defence, it was a promotional gift so we didn't pay for the thing, however the previous model barely worked because the Carbon Fibre Rollers jam up at the mere sight of a hair.
Despite this, I kind of hoped that Dyson might have addressed this in the new V6 Model, so went to work attaching the bracket to the wall. With it attached to the wall, I left it for a couple of days to c...Read more
harge and then gave it a test run. For a couple of minutes it worked fine and the roller didn't clog up once. Much better than the previous model had ever done, even from when it was new too. However, my joy was short lived as the battery dies and little blue light flashed pathetically at me. I put it back on charge and came back the next day. Alas, it hadn't charged and the little blue light pathetically flashed to tell me so. I checked the plug and the connection, fiddling around with it trying to make sure it connected properly, but still nothing. No charge light, no nothing. Clearly something was very wrong, so I tried to call the Customer Support line. At that point it became pretty obvious that Dyson either get lots of Customer Support calls or only employe a little old lady on King Island to take all their customer support calls. The wait time was horrendous. I went to the Dyson website and registered and even their website says that their Customer support line experiences long wait times.1 comment

Was good until it wasn’t!
I purchased this from Myer in 2015. It was working perfectly up until warranty date. Dyson sent out a new battery and motor in July 2017. 7 months later, the machine has stopped working altogether. Contacted Dyson customer care who are stating that they cannot guarantee a battery will last and not to use it on MAX setting (which I never do). They don’t seem to be interested in helping or interested that their new battery only lasted 7 months. For $85 replacement battery, this is a bit steep. I’m a bit reluctant to buy Dyson again as I have had previous similar encounters.

No need for the animal extra!
I have a dog who sheds often and the Dyson breezes through it, I considered getting the animal extra version however the sales assistant advised me I wouldn't need it and she was right! It's an absolute treat to use. The only downside is it only last 40 mins battery so have to do in intervals if doing the whole house.

Very Disappointed
This machine cost a lot and is the most expensive vacuum I have ever purchased and I think I have only required 3 over throughout my adult years. When the Dyson works it's great. Most of the time it doesn't. Customer service was good when it was under warranty, but basically the whole machine had to be replaced bit by bit. Now when I charge it, it will run for about 5 seconds and stop. I have to plug it in again and immediately take the plug out and it will run again. This goes on and on and on. Dyson now with it being out of warranty are...Read more
not too good. This was a big purchase for me and it's not that old. My other cheap vacuums ran for years and years. Does Dyson expect that the public are prepared to spend roughly $700 on a vacuum that only lasts for 2 years. Not good enough. I believe I should be treated with respect and when I purchase an item I further believe it should work. I am just not at all happy. I just tried to clean the house before guests arrive and guess what. It won't work again. Am I asking too much Dyson?????6 comments

ced by Dyson. We made contact with Dyson as the new Charger worked on and off. They basically said it was our problem and we should purchase another one and another battery. I don't think that is good "Customer Service"as at the time the charger was roughly 4 weeks old (approx). They then said we could send it to their "Service Centre" and that their Service Department would phone prior to making any repairs in order for us to OK costs. Once again Dyson, do you really think a machine this expensive and this young having had most of the major components already supplied and replaced by Dyson under warranty would need further repairing if there was not a problem with the machine at the outset. I believe we got a "Lemon". I feel like I am just getting the run around because we all know if I send it to their "Service Department" they are going to ring and say it's going to cost ??????????$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to have it repaired. My husband and I purchased this machine under the so called good name of "Dyson". We thought it was a tried and true product. We must have got a Lemon. Surely If they were all like this one I am sure Dyson would pull the product off the market. I am SO DISAPPOINTED IN THIS PRODUCT and feel that we opened our Wallet and the money just floated out into Dyson's pocket and they still want more. 65 years old and still learing that everyone out there just wants your money, When will we learn. DO THE RIGHT THING DYSON = REPLACE THIS ITEM OR REFUND THE PURCHASE PRICE. I would also like to point out that we live in a 10 square house (two 65 year old people) with carpet in 3 bedrooms only. The rest of the house has polished floor boards and tiles in the bathroom, meaning it has not had a lot of use prior to dying. RIP DYSON V6 AbsoluteSimilar opinion? Absolute back saver
Great vacuum. Great light, versatile design easy to use. Collection bin needs to be emptied quite often because of relative small size and how much gunk it's able to suck up! Quick to replace optional heads, too. Recharges fast, too. JB HiFi = $299 - V10 around $900 - I couldn't be happier with my 1/4 of the cost purchase.

Can't power on after less than 2 months. Bad and unresponsive customer service
Worst product ever didn't expect this from Dyson. We hardly used for a month and it stopped working and all it does is power on and off after every 2 seconds. It's been more than 3 weeks we gave for repair and it's still we don't hear anything from customer service. Terrible product and even terrible service.

Time consuming not time saving
My stick vacuum has the red handle. Not sure what model to call it. This vacuum can’t even suck up a fine cotton thread on carpet. It is the worst vacuum I have ever owned. It needs to be constantly cleaned and it takes up so much of my time rather than saving me time. If you have problems you can’t go to a local outlet to get it fixed. You have to send it back to Dyson. So therefore I’ve put up with its problems because solving it’s problems is too problematic. First Dyson and last Dyson I will buy

Overrated and Overpriced
The only positive features of this vacuum cleaner are the convenience of cordless and the excellent storage rack/charger.
Everything else about this vacuum cleaner sucks (pardon the pun).
The negatives are many:
Battery life is too short and it completely dies without warning.
The trigger switch is uncomfortable and doesn't lock on.
The hard floor tool is next to useless, it can't pick up anything larger than a dust particle.
The bin is ridiculously difficult and messy to empty because it is just too small.
Suction on the normal setting is just adequate and on the MAX setting the battery life is about 5 minutes.
Not recommended.

Best buy ever
We purchased this three years ago which I wish I had bought it earlier. I barely use my normal dyson vacuum cleaner as this does the job. It is so easy as you install it to the wall and always charged and ready and so powerful. I sometimes vacuum the whole 160 m2 house with it without any problem (20min battey life which is enough for me). The absolute comes with various headers which are useful.

Great vacuum... when it works
This is a great vacuum, however after just 12 months we started having major issues with the battery life and suction. It took about 3 months going back and forth with Dyson before they were able to organise it to be fixed and all in all it was a frustrating experience. In summary, the vacuum is great but just be warned if something goes wrong it takes a very long time to fix

WARNING: Machine flashing 10 red lights?(after holding trigger)
My machine is 18 months old and we noticed the vacuum time was diminishing until it just stopped working.
When it is working, I like it's ease of handling and the design but I sure wish it could do my whole 2 bedroom apartment in one session. That aside, I have been happy with my purchase until now. Alarm bells are now ringing in my head as $700 is a lot of money as far as I'm concerned. Anyhow, I hope this review can be helpful to others in the same situation.
I have looked all over the internet for information when the machine is fla...Read more
shing 10 red lights and it just constantly tells you to contact Dyson which of course I have done. Received replacement part today after waiting 5 days which is a new body as that is what is broken when 10 red lights flash (after holding down the trigger). I Installed it using the video and the instruction sheet and alas still flashing 10 red lights..... very frustratedly called Dyson (16 mins wait) and Lovely, helpful girl commented how strange it was that I was not sent a new battery with the new body as it seems the old battery is short circuiting the new part!! More Frustration!!!! Anyway they are sending me out a new body and a new battery together so I guess I'll be waiting another week to see if this resolves the issue. I would advise anyone to insist on a new battery when having the body replaced but I have to wait to see if this does actually work. Please note Dyson: When a customer is calling to report a faulty machine, don't ask them if they'd like information on new products!!! Just fix the one I have!!! And secondly, calling a replacement part thats under warranty "Goodwill" is extremely patronising. Its not Goodwill, its just your actual responsibility!!Similar opinion? Red light flashes when battery attached to machine and nothing happens, battery taken off of machine but top button pressed down And it’s blue as if it should be working???

Dyson Team ..Dyson
A red light flashing on your V6 indicates there is something not quite right in the machine.
If the red light is flashing more than 12 times, this often indicates the battery of your machine needs to be replaced. You can find the replacement battery for the Dyson V6 here: https://www.dyson.com.au/dyson-v6-replacement-battery-967810-21 and a video showing how to replace it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gH_CoicD94k
If your light is flashing red less than 12 times or you aren't certain the battery is causing difficulties, please get in touch with our Dyson Experts via [email protected] and we will only be happy to help.

I have the V6 absolute. It's been a recurring problem but I only get about a minute of vacuuming before I get either the amber light (which stays on for a few seconds before becoming flashing blue) or flashing blue light. A couple seconds on the charger and it goes back to working for a minute or so.
If I use the power mode I don't even get 10 seconds before it dies. I have tried doing some full charge cycles but that does not seem to affect anything. I noticed this became a probelm after cleaning the filters (as instructed by dyson- and I let dry for over 24 hours).
Would this be a battery problem or soemthing else?
