Disappointing
I've just written an email to Electrolux Customer Service saying that we too are very disappointed with this machine as others have stated. Our machine is about a year old and our clothes have to be dried on a rack after a couple of hours in the machine. The container does fill with water but ultimately nothing is dry.

Worst "Dryer" ever
These are not an effective dryer. Takes 4 to 6 hours to dry a load. Leaves clothes damp.
Buyers beware. Choose another product as this one will not do as expected. It is basically an $800 paperweight that eats electricity. Electrolux should be ashamed of themselves this product is a dud and shouldn't be sold.

Won't dry!!!want my full refund
What a joke. Had a Bosch and in one cycle to dry our clothes. This electrolux takes 3 cycles to get dry and still not good to put it in the drawers. I will see if good guys give me money back or exchange if not will contact consumer affairs or relevant authority to make sure i am looked after. Will never recomend this product to even my worst enemy. I hope electrolux reads this and send me either an upgrade or a compensation for my issue.

Electrolux EDP2074PDW Condensor Dryer purchased from Harvey Norman 3 years ago now not working at al
Purchased from Harvey Norman 3 years ago, has now stopped working and two local Electrolux repairers have basically told me that it would not be worth repairing with one quoting high $400's to repair, apparently it has 2 power control boards and both need replacing. Definitely avoid at all costs.

Works great
Condenser dryers work a bit differently and with some trial and error, I got it working effectively. Basically, you need to have a decent sized load in there. You cannot dry just one shirt like with a normal dryer. Also be prepared that you need to almost always use the "extra dry" setting and that it will take longer than a traditional dryer. However, I have had it around 4 years and am very happy with it. It's so great not having to leave the door open or risking mouldy walls.

Broken drum
I've had the dryer for about one year and the drum has almost split into two from where its been rotating on the rollers. I have lost my receipt, I'm guessing its not worth fixing. I'm extremely disappointed because I spent a lot of money expecting the quality would match what I paid.
I guess not. I would definitely think twice before buying any electrolux products in the future

Returning it
2 hours to barely dry a towel and a few T-shirts! Are you kidding me? I bought it today and will return it tomorrow. What a piece of garbage.
It seems the clothes are just getting real hot and the moisture has nowhere to go that's why it takes for ever to dry.

Hot (cold?) garbage
Tumbles without heating at all. Eventually stops and displays E60 error code, which isn't covered in the manual and there are zero helpful resources online which address these error codes.
Got this for free from a family member. Thought it would be worth repairing if there was something wrong with it, but these reviews have made me realise it's just a straight-up lemon. Would be annoyed beyond belief if I had paid for this, so thanks Product Review! As it is, I can just kick it to the curb and get another dryer, and hopefully confirm that this one isn't worth bothering with. The lackluster customer support on display here has also ensured I'm not getting an Electrolux.

Tumble What'er??)
A misnomer, if ever there was one. I've had this just on a year now and have hated it since day one. It doesn't dry - simple. It tumbled plenty, sure, but to no avail. I've finally succumbed and ordered a new clothesline so that I don't have to spend winter under damp doonas in wet pajamas! It's not a condenser issue, my precious dryer was a condenser too....this machine simply doesn't do what it's designed to do. Never again.
Update 14th July 2016:
I have just sent an email to Customer Care, demanding a refund. I bought this directly from ...Read more

ffective (? why are they there then?). It's been about a month, and still everything is left damp after 2-3 cycles. I just called customer care again....their solution? They'll send a technician back again. I explained that this was probably a waste of time, as other than the mysterious 'settings' change, I'd been told that there was no problem with the machine. I told them that the problem is the model - it's shonky but according to customer care, there are no problems with these machines. Really? Do they read these reviews? How many angry customers does it take before they admit that this is just a lemon and get us a solution? I want my money back, or a different model (one that dries as opposed to tumbling uselessly for hours). MASSIVELY UNHAPPY CUSTOMERSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Does not dry! Whole purpose of buying one!
I wish I had read the reviews before. My tumble dryer is absolutely terrible. We have had it for a year now and it's never really dried anything. I've just put my bedding on for two rounds now (about 3 hours and still wet!!!) I'm so unhappy with this product! I feel it blows out more hot air than it keeps inside to dry the clothes!

Hole in the drum after only 2 years
Paid $800 for this dryer ... 2 years later (out of warranty, thankfully I had an extended warranty) there's a hole in the drum! Tech said its because the metal is so thin and when it spins on the rollers its worn through! 2 weeks to get a quote for repairs, what a joke! Too expensive to repair so a replacement has been offered, no thanks, I don't want another of your crappy dryers

E60 code
I've had my Electrolux Dryer EDP2074PDW, for over 2 yrs and it is the best dryer I've ever had. I bought this dryer after years of wet walls from other dryers. Unfortunately I've just experience my first problem, a code E60 is appearing. The clothes are drying as normal but this code is worrying me. I cleaned it as normal, as the manual instructs and then the code started appearing.

Just doesn't dry anything.
This has to be the worst home appliances we have ever bought. We purchased only 8 weeks ago and have not had one load come out dry. We have tried all of the different settings to noes avail. The sensor is obviously rubbish. For this sort of money and the name Electrolux, you expect (and pay for) something that works!

Spent nearly 2k to dry one load in 5-6 hours
I bought this dryer last year thinking 'yay my expensive electricity bills are forever gone' and popped the first cycle on and after 2 hours still wet, ended up working out that I have to put every single load on extra dry and not one of the several other completely useless settings. The dryer has now stopped working altogether which is also unhelpful. Definite waste of money. No wonder these have come down in price when I paid twice as much for it last year which is a joke.

Never dries the clothes
Not once has anything come out of this dryer fully dry. I even have towels that a close to dry from the clothes line that I put in the dryer to finish dry and they still don't come out dry. Even light things stay damp and are never totally dried Absolutely hopeless

Terrible
As other reviewers have said in this forum, this dryer is hopeless. Really hopeless. Nothing comes out dry. EVER. I have it on super dry 3 or 4 times, it "senses" that things are dry when they are certainly not. I am really disappointed as it was very expensive and doesn't work. My advice would be to just get a normal dryer.

Worst Customer Service Ever
We have had this dryer for probably two years now and have not had major issues with it in the past. But a few days ago the water stopped getting collected in that draw and was leaking from the back. We tried connecting the hose to the back but that didn't work either.
So I though I will call Electrolux maybe there is a setting that I have accidentally pressed to change the water output, but no one wants to speak to me. The lady I spoke to in the 'Contact Center' was quite rude, had no product knowledge, and was only interested in selling m...Read more
e a service !! That was my only option, there is no one to talk to, no one to call me back, but apparently if I pay $150 for a service then Electrolux will be interested in talking to its customers. I went with the second option on their 'Contact Us' page, and headed to their showroom in Mascot. Even though there were employees inside, the showroom was closed and there is no one again to speak to ... not sure why it is under the 'Contact Us' section. So in my frustration I called the contact center and they again told me that all the there technicians are so busy. I was effectively told that I cannot speak to anybody, or go see anybody about my problem unless I pay $150. After much negotiation, the contact center said maybe if I go to one of their service centers possibly someone there might be able to take 30 secs from their busy schedule to talk to me, so I asked where is the closest the call center? it was Mascot ... which is now closed. Eventually I was given a Wollongong number, and again I was treated with the same rudeness. I was even given a FAKE technician to speak to on the phone who told me I had to purchase a service. How do I know he was fake? Well after giving him all the details about my machine and he pretended to be following .. he asked me about the hot and cold water hose. Shame on you Electrolux! This has been a big waste of my money and time and to be honest the worst customer service I have ever received.3 comments

Clothes dryer?
Thought clothes dryers were supposed to dry clothes. Agree with others that you have to put it on 2 cycles for things to dry. Is this a condenser dryer issue? Or an Electrolux dryer issue?
Also getting an error code E60 which I understand to be a door issue. Haven't had dryer very long, probably just out of warranty!

Not happy!
Bought this dryer thinking that a condenser dryer was the thing to get these days, wrong! Even using extra dry setting, things are still damp and have to do a second cycle, seriously?!! Give me and older dryer any day!!!!
A 1 hr cycle was plenty of time in my old dryer. This one is new and takes over two hours

I’m having trouble with my Tumble Dryer, EDP2074PDW. We have had this machine since November 2016.
I have cleaned all the condenser and drum including the water pump compartment at the back.. Still it will turn off after 3 minutes and the water container light flashes.
We have it directly plumbed into our waste, which I have also checked and flushed with Draino, just in case. The water container is bone dry. Any other options I can try?.. Very frustrating an washing is piling up.. Thanks Hayley

Hi just wondering if this can be installed side by side? Does it come with brackets or do we order them from you ? Thanks.

My Electrolux EDP2074PDW condenser dryer is no more working because the childlock is ON and no more possible to unlock.
The Start Led is flickering all time.
All buttons are working (a press on each provides a ¨click¨ meaning the good working).
When pushing both button (Start and buzzer) simultaneously to unlock, childlock Led flashes three times and remains on.
I am lost and do not know how to fix this problem. It is probably very simple, but diagnose is not explained anywhere. Many thanks, Edith.
