    Zb2943 18v Electrolux vacuum

    published

I purchased Zb2943 18v Electrolux vacuum 3/5/12, on 10/1/13 - 7months later it does not hold charge. In less than 12 months it's broken. They won't give me a replacement. I'm not impressed with Electrolux's service. Holds charge for 10mins not 20. I do not recommend this product! Electrolux in Melbourne do not care about keeping their customers happy!

I just bought it on 28/4/2013, sales girl told me, if fully charged, it can holds for about 30 min., but i keep it charged for more than 13 hrs, overnight, it holds for only
    10 min, what should i do ...?

Apparently it lasts 30 mins on min power, but only about 12 mins on max power. Min power should be fine for tiled/timber floors; max for carpet.

mine is the ergorapido plus lithium 2 in 1 ZB2942 model this charges quickly and has a battery that lasts alot longer than previous models. I have had this for 3 months now with no dramas and I use it nearly everyday for small jobs in my kitchen and bathroom tiles. Its quick and easy to emply . This is my second one I have purchased now.
    easy and very nice looking
not the best on long carpets: Better on tiles and short carpet

I purchased my 18w ZB2907 2 in 1 as a spare cleaner for newly installed timber floor over four months ago, since then I haven't used the old one at all. It' very light and easy to maneuver around furniture, I'm able to finish whole two bedroom unit and battery still last for an other job. I did my homework and got the best price of $220 at Good Guys and it's well money spent.
Price, light weight, small light on a brush makes dust easier to see, 2 in 1 design
Does not come close enough to walls or furniture for the dust to be picked up

Electrolux normally replace the head at a cost of $150 that's what I was quoted but you need to make sure it is the battery I have been told by a shop worker that there is a nother issue and not necessary the battery I had a independent 12 volt shop cheek mine

Hi, I purchased my second Electrolux Ergorapido ZB2932 in December 2014 because the battery in my original one started to switch off all the time. The same thing is happening with the second one. I really like the product as it's light and works well but seems a shame that the battery is unreliable after 16 months. The unit does work but it turns itself off 5 or 6 times before it will go for any length of time and seems to be working at a slower pace than original. Is this usual? Thanks, Linda Green, Bunbury WA

I have now the same problem with Electrolux Ergorapido with the battery when now the warranty is 6 month overdue. Based on what I have read here the battery seems to be designed to go broken soon after the warranty period is over. We used this vacuum cleaner really seldom, so it is not due to "too much use" for sure. 6 years ago I also had an Electrolux fridge, of which the control panel was broken twice during warranty. Then the door dropped off (yes it did!) after the warranty was over. The inner structure in the door around hinge counterpart gave off because of there was lacking polyurethane from the inside of the door frame. So the hinge counterpart broke and it dropped into the door frame hole lacking polyurethane. And when I opened the door the door dropped off completely because the upper hinge dropped out of the upper counterpart. This was a clear design / manufacturing flaw. Even so they practically laughed at me when I called the country technical warranty manager about this. I had to buy a new door which cost 1/3 of the price of a new fridge. I am never ever going to buy another Electrolux machine. :-(
