Have just purchased 664 pro. While I have sewed for many years and been using a 30 year old overlocker, I purchased this machine with the option of being able to do so much more than finish seams. While the instruction book is great with the basics, can you suggest a Vidio or book that can be explain better some of the new beaut things I can do eg. Cording pintucking, roller hem, and where do I purchase the feet that I may need to do some of these jobs . Hope you can help? Marg

Is there a stitch similar to a cover stitch in this machine?

Hi
Not sure of your definition of a cover stitch. I'd look at the Elna website directly for machine specifications or manual.
Hope that is of use.
I would go on the Elna website for the manual. Although I have this machine I only use it for basic overlooking as I have a fabulous sewing machine for everything else. I am relative new to these machines and sewing and during summer I haven't used it at all as I have horses to keep me busy...lol. Looking forward to winter to learn a lot more about my machines and what I can do. It will be me asking the questions...watch out girls!!!

My elna 664pro has developed a problem. It will sew maybe 10 cm then it makes a clanging noise and then the 4th thread no longer works and has broken off in the machine. I have tried everything to fix it. Taken the cutting knife out of action, retreading it meticously following the instructions, oiling the machine, made sure all the settings are correct according to the manual. My machine is only 1 year old. Please help

Hi Tamara, The only thing I can come up with is that maybe the needle could be slightly bent, hence the clanging noise...if you haven't already, change the needles, hopefully that will work... fingers crossed!!
This sounds to me like a technical problem - I never have broken threads. I would contact Elna Australasia at [email protected] . I contacted them regarding me Elna sewing machine and they were most helpful. Good luck

How much does the Elna 664 pro cost, please?

I remember when I bought the Elna Pro, it was on special, around $500. I don't know the current retail price. The major chain of sewing and fabric stores I bought it from often have reductions and I bought the Elna Pro as well as another Elna sewing machine solely for the 'one step' buttonhole function it featured.
Hope this is of help
Thank you
I looked up a few online and the best price I saw was $AUD 575
