Solar, have to keep chasing where my current bill is now up to 6 months. Absolutely hopeless. Will be changing supplier if I do not receive an answer within a week as I have been asking this same question for months.

Complete rip off, overcharging.

I went with Energy australia because while living with my ex, he has chosen this company(idk why) and even after separating I stuck with this one thinking should be okay and reputable. When I started getting really high bills, I talked to them about overcharging and they did not do anything and I had to pay. I did my research and found other company charging literally half per unit. My bills are lesser by hundred and more. Complete rip off. Just watched an episode in A current affair and I wondered why I never left a review. Customer service is also pretty appalling. Never again!!! Another one i used before is Click Energy, another rip off plus dodgy. Please do your research

Services are alright, but they charge you for a call out fee to get the meter re-read when it was their issue that the initial reading put in the wrong number.
(my bill gone up from usual 200 to 1000) they said if I don't get a re-read and the next reading shows the difference (number gone back down), I will be credit back, but who knows.

Paid bill by due date was told to pay 3 days in advance in order to receive the discount on paying on time? due to paying via credit card (understandable it will take time to process)but that should not be a fault of ours if we pay on time and by that date!!!Why state a due date and then they return to tell you that in order to receive the discount pay it 3 days early? spoke with Julius and as of courtesy agreed to the discount amount even though I paid by the due date???... not worth signing with - took the initiative to contact and ensure that payment went through and they said to pay in advance -

Very Disappointed

So disappointed with the service - I changed to EA and they confirmed the Solar Feed in Tariff I would receive, only to find out two weeks after joining it was scheduled to drop. This was never mentioned to me at the time that I was joining! This is so unprofessional! Then you have to ring their call centre which is based in the Philipines..... these guys struggle to understand what you are saying and their responses are not appropriate! Seriously we have such unemployment in Australia and we allow these guys to send potential local jobs off shore!!! I had to call them after I had cancelled my account to get my credits paid to me.

Energy ‘Australia’ is owned by China

Despite the name this is a chinese owned company, it took 3 weeks of constant live chat and empty email responses just to get the power connected, they stated in their sign up process that a $50 credit would be provided, however it only came off the connection fee, I’m really regretting the decision to choose this company already

Don’t expect help!

Was shocked with my last quarterly bill
It was more than the previous one
It could not possibly be right
Due to the fact that nothing had changed except for a Family of 4 had moved OUT and took their fridge with them!!!
Spoke to several people, overseas
apparently the meter was read and correct... impossible!
Their response was ..sign up for a contract to receive discount

The absolute worst

The absolute worst. We were in a dispute with them for over 18 months as they kept charging us a high pressure rate. We referred it to the ombudsman and it was eventually resolved. We were credited over $2000 in refunds. Appalling.

Is it really so hard??

Ok I’m moving my service. I’ve been with them 6 months and I’ve lost all patience. I’m trying to get my solar connected to them and the EWR form to match. Unhelpful, unknowledgeable and downright rude. Talking over me and being aggressive. I am so glad the calls are recorded.

Price gouging at its finest.

What is wrong with this picture? I am using power saving devices (LED lights for lighting, off peak hot water tank, gas for cooking and power saving LED TV etc for entertainment) but yet I am paying more for electricity than I did decades ago when I was using 75 to 100 watts incandescent light bulb, CRT TV, electric cook tops and 24/7 hot water tank just to name a few. In actual fact, I consume less power than I did decades ago. There needs to be a royal commission into price gouging of essential utilities.

Absolutely appalled - signed up to a rate for solar buy back, a few months later we receive a letter saying they 'forgot' to notify us but this rate was changed and backdated it to the date we signed up. So unethical! Tried to contact customer service and laid a complaint, extremely unprofessional and unhelpful.

You get the run around . The hold music is terrible. Bills are often wrong and always too high. They promise to fix issues but don't.
Go with an Aussie owned company like Re Amped or Enova.

Started off very good when I swapped to them early this year but dropped their feed in tariff from 16.1 to 11.5 but FORGOT to tell me, and only let me know nearly 3 months after with no offer of compensation for their stuff up!

Hopeless customer service - AVOID! Zero stars!

Electrical and gas accounts (for now but I am leaving). Setup was fine and speedy. Reliability is fine, but man, the customer service is TERRIBLE. Long delays, call centre reps who don't understand what you are talking about, constantly being put on hold because they hold zero knowledge, really makes you feel like you are in the wrong, when you spend 2 hours getting them to try and correct a billing error, which is still not resolved! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

i have a large solar feedin. they havnt payed me. havnt contacted me. ive been chasing this up for 6 months now. ive phoned multiple times, been lied to each time and palmed off. now 6 months down the track.. they have come up with an excuse that the paperwork isnt in order.. why didnt they say this sooner? .. unpaid equates to power thieft. the paperwork was in order for the last power co. There excuse is that of an amateur fraudster.. dosnt cut it.. the last pwr company needed this same paperwork to provide me which they did....they also cut the feed in rate back a few weeks after i joined. not that that matters there not paying any way... im having to go down the legal avenue.. and of course changing to a reputable company

No financial relief or assistance for people out of work or affected by covid. Every company from car, health, home insurance etc are offering something. Shame on you energy Australia. You are obviously not in this with us but here just to make money. Good bye

Why is my current bill now up to almost 6 months and each time I ask when I will receive my bill am told you are understaffed. This is not good enough. I have solar so the data should just be downloaded and a bill produced. The reviews are shocking, energy Australia really need to get their act together if they want to Keppies customers.

Took me ages to get mine sorted as well, was told paperwork had not been received so emailed them everything again along with the original email. Finally got it sorted but my last bill is well overdue and every time I speak on the chat line I get the answer that they are understaffed?
