Great... unless you have narrow shoulders
I have a love-hate relationship with my ergo. It’s an absolute lifesaver with my little snuggle addict - easy to get on, Bub is ultra comfy (now is at 8 months, but we started at 3 weeks old and she loved it then too with the newborn insert), foolproof to adjust for my husband, and washable. Big BUT, however. I have quite narrow shoulders and no matter how much I adjust it, the straps slip off. I’m constantly tugging them back on my shoulders. It’s gotten a little better as Bub has grown and her weight is spread over a wider area, but when she was smaller it drove me nuts, and it’s still not great - I’m contemplating buying another carrier with crossable backstraps for this very reason.

Can't fault this carrier
Comfortable and easy to use. Perfect for my Velcro-baby! It's adjustable so my husband or myself can use it, and it has multiple ways to use it depending on baby's age.
My only negative is how hot it can be with baby against you in it, but would probably happen with any carrier.

well worth the money
I use to carry my baby son forward facing on his walks (he was very definite about being forward facing!) for 20-30 minutes at least twice a day (loves his walks) but I started getting tendonitis so it was time for a carrier (I was too scared too get one as a newborn as saw too many little noses against mum and was scared they weren't breathing properly), anyway waited till my baby bunting emails said carriers were on special and found they were simpler to put on then the BB brand (only two clips to click). Life is much easier now! but I strong...Read more
ly recommend the following: - buy two long lengths of eg grosgrain or satin ribbon eg 1.5 cm wide to attach to each side of the upper back clip. You can actually slide this back clip along the length of the arm straps to get it in the best supportive position for you but this is hard without the attached ribbons to pull it down to a comfortable position, and to pull it back up when you want to undo the clip to remove bubs. - get it fitted with bubs at the baby store - they did a much better job than I did - my son at four months is long but I still thought in the forward position he should sit a bit higher so I folded a hand towel in half long ways then rolled up and insert this under his bottom when I place him in the carrier. when strapped in I just make sure it is sitting comfortably and evenly under him. You can get a toddler insert but as he was four months I didn't want to bother with it. - I always make sure he is wearing a fresh bib and place this over the carrier bib to soak up the drool. You can buy a bib attachment for the carrier but what I'm doing works for now - just need to check it as it rotates a bit with bubs looking all around! - I bought the cool air mesh one as live in Brisbane. Currently November and he has not overheated in it but I definitely don't over dress him in it or walk in heat of day. - there is a rain/sun baby hood zipped under carrier bib. There is room to insert a small bag for a key, money, tissues but I wouldn't have anything bulky in case it presses against bubs, or rubs/wears against baby hood. - I always check in a long length mirror before going out that he is looking comfortable. I did have concerns about forward facing at four months (did try him facing against me to much objection) - in forward facing the carrier buttons are to be put in a different position for better support and I asked a midwife who wasn't concerned. He certainly hasn't objected and the only effects I can tell are a bit of redness around arms and legs - same as if we were carrying a bag over our shoulder type thing ie not a concern. Ive often checked his face in a mirror to see he isn't overwhelmed forward facing and able to make eye contact with me - nothing but smiles or a cursory acknowledgement because there is so much to see! Sometimes after a long walk he even falls asleep because he is absorbing so much it tires him out!

Comfortable but it can get really hot
It's really comfortable for both the adult and the baby, great back support! I'm able to put it on without any help. the carrier is easy to adjust even when you are carrying your little one on the carrier. I have two issues with this product, first it is not very foldable, therefore when you're not using it, you will need a big bag to put it in and second (as my baby is only little) I have only try using it with the insert and it makes my baby sweat like crazy. My baby hates the heat so I won't recommend it during summer time but it is perfect for cold weather.

Good for those on the move!
Have been using the ergo 360 for almost a year now and my baby is 18 months old. Cant recommend it enough as it gets me doing household activities with 2 free arms and ready to go anywhere with bub cuddling. My daughter loves it better than pram and we are soon going to try the backside sling position.

Disappointed
Best and most utilised baby buys during my for my 1st daughter was ergo 360. I'm a sling loving mum and used the ergo 360 with an insert to begin with until she was 18 months. Loved this product from ergo baby. I now have a 3 month old and having moved to Australia using insert in this heat wasn't an option so I 1st bought the Adapt cool air mesh! It looked a bit bulgy but not an issue. I tried around the house and found that the straps are much longer than the 360 and just won't sit properly on my shoulder. Little one hated it as well. Thought...Read more
it could be something to do with the mesh, so I ordered the perl gray fabric one. It came look and feel of the fabric was much better than the mesh. I tried and found the same, straps are far too long and won't sit correctly on my shoulder. I tried the crisscross way, as this might be why the straps are longer in these new models. The cross bit sat right at the back of my neck! It was so uncomfortable and just not what I expected after having paid over $200 for it. After speaking to the online team, I went into the store to return these two, where I discovered the OMNI 360. Given I had used the 360 before and loved it I bought one as I desperately needed one that doesn't need an insert. Came home tried it and sadly, the strap issue again! Below is what I found with these new models(OMNI 360) -No insert needed and Velcro to adjust seats, genius! -Belt with buckle and lumbar support, AMAZING! -Small purse in the front for your phone and keys, handy. -Straps too long and rises up on shoulders once you buckle it. Disappointing! - much hardest to buckle at the back v original 360 due to strap being too long. -The carrier itself seems to be much longer than the previous 360 and my daughter, who is now 3 months and fits the specifications to sit on 3months positions with required height, she looks slumped in seat and the head rest is way above the recommended half ear level. You can only see the top of her head. I red lot of reviews from those who were given these products to try by ergo and all of those reviews were good. I'm surprised no one had the issue I've faced! I'm going to have to return it (it's the 3rd one I bought all within last two weeks) as I can't be bothered or do I have time to alter it to fit me after paying $$$. I'm a short person(1.64cm) but not that short that I'm the only one with this issue? Anyway, I really love ergo sling and have done so in the past but this time round unfortunately, I have to go look for some other brand which I'm not very happy about:(2 comments

Better look than confort
I bought this carrier because the reviews were pretty good. To be honest, I am disappointed. His back is not supported properly, my baby is not confortable at all. For myself, my shoulders and neck hurt when I use it. For the price, I was expecting much more. I think it would be better with more straps to ajust the position of the baby. My baby wanted to push his head back but he couldn't. He didn't like to be all "squash" on me. And please make more support for his back to keep a nice position of the spine. thanks

ds as though the carrier may not be adjusted optimally for you and baby. I have some tips below which may help, alternatively, if you go to our website you will find video links and tips that may also be useful for you to find a comfortable fit. You shouldn't feel pressure, pulling or tension when you are wearing an Ergobaby. If this is happening, it is often due to the straps needing to be re-adjusted until you find a comfortable "sweet spot" for yourself. Our advice in this situation is to put the carrier on and take out all the straps as far as they can go and then slowly pull them all in until you find that spot that feels comfortable for you and bub. In particular, check that the back strap is sitting between your shoulder blades evenly and isn't pulled too tight. If the back strap is tight, you will put pressure on your neck.Similar opinion? Fantastic baby carrier!!
Ive been using the ergo baby for 5 months now and it has got to the best thing Ive purchased for baby. It allows me to get things done around the house when baby is fussy, convenient strap and go for short trips out and best of all baby falls alsleep in the carrier! We have even brought this for travelling and it's been a life saver! Baby at 8kg now finds the ergo very comfortable and loves sitting in it. I've never tried breast feeding in yet - so Im not sure how easy it is to do that. One recommendation would be to add a zip pockets somewhere on the ergo carrier as I find when I use it I can't use a sling handbag. Maybe there is one But i can't see it. Let me know please! Thanks.

Love it!!! But the colour faded too quickly...
Bought this carrier as I was travelling overseas and didn't want to take pram along. Was really useful and loved it. Could carry my baby all day long in it. He loves being in the front outward facing position. Easy to put him to sleep when in front inward position. Still use it in everyday basis...very useful carrier!!! I can't live without it now.
The only downside is that I bought the navy blue one and the colour faded in the VERY FIRST WASH (washed as per instruction). It looks old and dirty now, right after the first wash!!!!

Not easy if you are alone
I found this carrier not too easy to handle if you are by yourself. I find it hard to put the baby into it. Also, baby is teething and bites the sides, it would be nice if it had some teething cushions to come with it. I have owned it for 6 months now, hopefully becomes easier to handle as i am by myself most of the time.

Good product. Needs practice.
I have the ergobaby four position 360 with infant insert and use it every day. Baby always falls asleep in it. The snap fastener at the back is difficult to attach by oneself and I find loosening the straps at both sides help. It is a good product and practice makes perfect.

If bub is still in the infant insert (recommended to be used up until 4 months of age), then ensuring you are using the pillow in the bottom of the insert is very important. This pillow can be used on its own once bub is older than 4 months to assist to give her some more height in the carrier. Cool Air Fantastic until it broke - TWICE!!!
I absolutely used to adore my Ergobaby 360 Cool Air Carrier - until it came away on the seam, twice on 2 separate carriers :-(
The first time it was replaced by Ergobaby NZ (although purchased in Australia) as it had separated from the mesh with the stitching along the waistband after 6 months of wear. Ergo 360 Cool Air
There are so many baby wearing products out there and making a decision is so difficult... I was lucky enough to borrow an ergo 360 from a friend before buying my own. I decided to go for the 360 Cool Air because I live in QLD and it gets very hot. I found with my friends regular 360 (especially with the infant insert) that bub got very hot and sweaty. She still gets hot in the cool air but not as bad. I also like the clip better than the velcro in the waist band. I use my ergo almost everyday... hanging out washing, doing the groceries, walkin...Read more

Never worked for my 5 months old or me
I bought the 3 positions Ergobaby original with infant insert from Baby bunting last December. The sales lady gave me wrong information so I bought the 3 positions carrier without knowing if doesn't face forward out. It was too late to exchange by the time I realise it. r more times up till he is 3 months old, same thing happened again and again. I struggled to put the back buckles in while I tried to comfort my crying baby. I even called Babes in Arms and wrote email to them asking for help, I didn't get any. After tormenting between losing money selling it secondhand or giving it another go, I waited till my bub turned 4 months this April when he was big enough not to use the infant insert. It felt so much lighter without the insert, that was a relief for me. But, then, he just doesn't like it. I figure out it's the frog legs position that got him uncomfortable. I have tried side position, too. It's just way too difficult to use and the sling actually pulls my neck to one side towards my bub. I can't do this anymore. Tonight, I have made up my mind and put up an ads selling Ergobaby on the internet. I lost half of my money and I am in distress. Sorry Ergobaby, this is not the right product for me. I wish you could read my comment and get in touch with me. For your information, I am not a big mum and only 158cm tall. Putting on the bulky straps on my waist and shoulders is just too much for me. Problems to start with but now going well!
Bought this along with the infant insert before my daughter was born due to the generally good reviews and wanting something more comfortable than the bjorn I used with my older daughter.
When my second daughter arrived I tried it in one particularly stressful moment as she screamed and screamed in the insert and it didn't seem to fit properly at all, like she was being squashed or something. Anyway, I put it down to her being to small and was really disappointed as I am a big believer in "wearing baby" and like the freedom it gives when ou...Read more
t and about (especially now with a todddler!) I decided to "google it" to see if anyone else had the same issue and come across someone saying they ditched the insert altogether and just used a rolled up blanket under baby's bum. So I tried again, and it worked! My daughter fit in it perfectly, it felt comfortable and secure and she fell asleep in it. It felt fantastic to be able to leave the house with my toddler for a walk! I've used this for another couple of months and find it really user-friendly and now I'm a pro in getting her in it by myself using one hand only to fasten the back clasp (which initially WAS tricky as it's at the centre of the top of your back!) I particularly like the rain/sun tucked in the back which you can pull over their head and fasten with buttons to the upper shoulder strap. All in all I'm very happy with it and can see myself using this well into her toddlerhood. Thumbs up!1 comment

Hi I am looking for a baby carrier and have been putting off getting the ergo 360 Omni mesh coz of the price. I have borrowed my friends Tula and daughter doesn’t like it I bought a Lille baby and it’s too chunky for me and it’s too big for my frame around my waist ... just wondering if the ergo 360 Omni mesh is worth it and will fit a body with small frame.

Hi, both my baby and I love this product. I’m 152cm and am a size 12 and I feel as though it fits us fine. Maybe consider going and trying one on before you purchase - that’s what I did.

Hi Sarah, are you folding down the bit at the front? You know, the section that supports his neck when he is sleeping whilst facing you? That’s the only thing I can think of - I recommend you take a peek at the ergo baby videos, they helped me heaps when I was starting out too.
Hi, thank you for responding! yes we have folded it down, I looked on the website and the models have some of their mouths slightly covered too. He might just need to get a bit bigger. Thanks you!

I recently bought the ergo baby omni 360. When I have my baby inward facing, one of the 'sliders' moves slightly - one side seems to click into place but the other side doesn't. Is this a defect or is it something I'm doing wrong?

Thank you so much. Jenna.
Hi. I don’t have the Omni model, my carrier is the regular 360 and it has buttons instead of sliders. You’d best contact ergobaby for further support and advice.
Thanks, yes I took it back to Baby Bunting and they phoned Ergobaby for me and left my details with them. Juat waiting for someone to phone me.
I'm pretty sure it's faulty as one of the sliders seems to lock in but the other one doesn't. Perhaps they should have stuck with the old design - sliders may be a bit easier than buttons but not sure how well the sliders will last (especially if one of them is loose from new!)

like is an easy fix. You can actually cross the straps over on the 360 so there is no need for you to purchase a new carrier. We wouldn't recommend this for everyone, but if you are a petite build through the shoulders the straps on the 360 can be long enough to achieve a similar cross effect that you get with our new Omni and Adapt carriers. All you need to do is unclip each shoulder strap in the middle and re-connect them with the opposite side (ie take the right front shoulder piece and re-connect it to the back left shoulder then vice versa) . This can be a little tricky for you to do up and undo but it is something you will get used to once you've done it a few times. You may find you need to lengthen both sides as long as you can to release bub out of the carrier or change her position. The upside though is that this should alleviate the straps falling off your shoulders. Hopefully this helps you find a solution without the need to purchase a new carrier.
