You have to be a contortionist or double jointed
We bought this product on the recommendation from the baby shop that it was way better than the Baby Bjorn and outsold BB 3 to 1. We had a friend loan us their Baby Bjorn for our first child and it was great - super simple to get him in and out, comfy, accessible tightening straps - no hassle. This Ergobaby we bought when our 2nd arrived is the complete opposite. Women are more flexible than men (guys have you ever tried to strap your wife bra on?) so my opinion is strictly from a mans perspective however you have to be a contortionist or doubl...Read more
e jointed to use this thing. The straps are ALL tightened from behind your back, requiring you to uncouple your shoulder joints and twist your head 270 degrees (think poltergeist). So once the baby is in place and you've managed to give yourself a reach-around then you have to think about how the hell you're going to get it off, or more the point get the baby out! I ended up having to drop the baby out the bottom having undone the waist strap - which incidentally non-weight bearing - I mean how stupid.... isn't the point of a thick waist band to reduce the weight on the shoulders and therefor the top of your back? Not according to Ergobaby. Anyway, unlike our first who I carried everywhere in the Bjorn I'm now reduced to transporting the pram everywhere which sux because i really enjoyed the Bjorn with my first. I would recommend (dad) tries to work this thing in the shop and without the women "helping" before you think about buying it - you'll see what I mean. NB - the Bjorn we had was an old style one, so I can't speak for the new style. So in summary, in my view this product is terrible.2 comments

Excellent product! Baby is very comfy inside either front/back facing. The Velcro waistband is giving me shoulder pain
Hi,
My experience with the carrier was good at the beginning, but since my baby is getting heavier (8k) I must say the support is poor.
The waistband isn't symmetric when adjusting it and that causes the baby hanging on one side and that causes the shoulder straps aren't evenly supported why I'm having these shoulder pain problems. I prefer a waistband that is more supportive and tight enough, like all the other carriers manufactured. The price is not worth the carrier at all.
So now the question, is this carrier ergonomic? No. Not for me not for the baby since she hangs there crooked.

Best baby product ever!
By far this was one of the best things we purchased for our baby. Super easy to use, comfy & well worth the money. We did purchase the insert & used that initially for about 4 weeks before our baby was big enough to be in the carrier without it. I love that I just throw it in the washing machine & have had no issues at all. I found this online for $70 less the RRP. Definitely recommend this to all parents!

Amazing Product
Sleepy dust. Comfortable. Love it. My 6 month old falls asleep within minutes of getting up. We toured a navy ship for a few hours and walked over 1km with not a care in the world. Amazing product. And the midnight blue colour is just gorgeous. Would highly recommend this product to my friends and family.

The best
I've tried a few different carriers and wraps- Ergobaby is the best for sure. I could carry my 9wk old in it all day, very comfortable construction and design I don't feel strain anywhere. Easy to get on and off. Baby is comfortable (with the recommended infant insert) and his hips and legs ergonomically positioned, not splayed apart like traditional carrier seats result in.
I bought mine second hand and definitely worth the investment as I will continue to use until baby is a toddler and wanted something durable which could handle heavier babies (my friend still uses hers with her toddler).

Don't know what we would do without it!
We've just come back from being in Japan for 3 weeks and O.M.G, this ergobaby 360 was/is amazing. Our 4/5 month old loved sleeping and seeing the world in it. We were able to to face front our son to see everything and when it was time to sleep we just turned him around and he slept well.
My husband is 6 ft and I'm a shorty being 5.3 and we were able to adjust it perfectly for both our heights and build.
It's a little bulky and I thought it would be a bother to carry but we always needed it. The ergobaby also was so handy when baby wanted to ...Read more

A little fiddly but ok
I got this carrier with high hoped but unofrtinately i found it is a bit of a pain to use with the newborn inserts, it can make it hard to get bub in the right position. I also found it a little hard to get on independantly. That said it is excellent quality materials and does the job. It just didn't suit me.

Has changed my life!
Love my carrier, my 6-month-old son was not comfortable in a few others and wanted one that I could face him forward after feeds as he has bad reflux. He is so comfy in this and when he gets tired I face him in and he's asleep within minutes. I even do an exercise class with him in it sleeping away peacefully!

Perfect, easy to use baby carrier
Much easier than using a sling. For a newborn you need an insert so they sit higher. Nice and sturdy as they get heavier. It is easy to put on although you do need a hand clipping the strap that runs across your back together. It is a really nice way to carry your baby. It could do with a better pocket at the front to put in keys/money/mobile phone, etc.

Great carrier but too hot with insert
It's not the best looking carrier but it's comfortable to wear. Baby sleeps 10/10 times. Velcro is noisy and weaks my baby from her sleep if I undo her.
The sun shade is very handy.
I give this 4 star because the 5 star rating belongs to the Ergobaby 360 Air. No velcro and the lighter materials are the winner. Can't live without this product.

Comfortable and convenient!
I love the Ergo 360 as it's comfortable to wear and puts no pressure on my back and my Newborn falls asleep so easily once she's strapped in. Once you get the hang of strapping it all up, it takes only a few seconds and is a lifesaver when your LO doesn't want to be put down but you need both hands. A great product and can't recommend enough!

A little bit disappointed unfortunately
I have been wanting a 360 since they came out, I have finally just sold my old original "organic" ergo and purchased the 360, I was so excited when it arrived today, but I must say I am a little disappointed and wish I had of kept my old version as well, the only good feature of the new 360 is the forward facing option. It is lacking my favourite feature of the original, the pocket to store keys, money ect in!!!! Very disappointed, also I am not a fan of the waist strap, it is Velcro which makes it very hard to adjust tight enough and I could a...Read more

nice and tight to distribute bub's weight comfortably. I wrap the waistband up nice and high around my waist (my 'narrowest' point) and then shimmy it down to the top of my hips till it's nice and snug (and has the added benefit of sucking in my muffin-top). I hope that helps!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent product. Love it.
Before my son was born I purchased a Baby Bjorn one carrier which I had no issues with fOr the first few months of his life. Once he reached the 6-7kg mark I found that I couldn't carry him in the Bjorn anymore. I was getting terrible pain in my upper back whenever I used it. I then had to fly to Melbourne alone from Sydney and couldn't take a pram. On the advice of a friend I purchased the Ergobaby to carry my now 6 month old son (weighing about 8.5kg). I had him in the carrier for three days straight and thought it was fantastic. It's comfort...Read more
able, easy to get him in and out of and didn't trouble my back at all. The only criticism I would have is that the upper strap in between your shoulder blades is difficult to do up on your own. Having said that, with a little practice it doesn't bother me too much now. I would highly recommend the carrier and only wish I had known to purchase it from the beginning.1 comment

Love my Ergobaby!
I have a few of the Ergobaby carriers - the Original, the 360 & the Ventus, as well as a couple of wrap carriers. The 360 has become my favourite of them all! I started using it when my little one was only a couple of weeks old with the infant insert in and had no problems at all, it's easy to get on and clip up and he was nice and snug and secure in there. Now that he's older he's in there without the insert. The reasons this is my favourite over the others:
* The waist strap on the 360 is a wider velcro strap with a little secondary clip, w...Read more

Love the carrier - but buy the air version!
Good points:
* No sore back from carrying baby
* Multiple positions
* Secure
* She falls asleep while we shop in there all the time
* Has sun shade
* Adjustable straps
Bad points
* Gets very hot walking in it - have noticed they are releasing the ergo baby 360 air, wish this was around when I was looking!

I Wanted To Love It But It Keeps Giving Me Reasons Not To
I do a lot of walking with my Velcro baby. The carrier is comfortable for me but there are plenty of problems. I used a Baby Bjorn when bub was little and the Ergobaby wrap for mooching around the house and feeding on the go, and I don't have lots of experience with carriers other than these, but here are the issues I have with this one:
1. In front position and back carry position I simply can't reach either the sun shade straps or snap-click thingos to clip the sun shade over. Tough if you live in Australia. Without it bub's head lolls when ...Read more

Best carrier ever
This has been my second carrier after using the original ergo with first baby. Even my husband thought it was ridiculous buying another carrier but he later admitted that this one was awesome. We still use it on our 14 Month old and the baby loves being it. Its comfortable on me and my husband. Yes it comes with a price tag but buy it during the sales if you can. You will not regret it.

Hi I am looking for a baby carrier and have been putting off getting the ergo 360 Omni mesh coz of the price. I have borrowed my friends Tula and daughter doesn’t like it I bought a Lille baby and it’s too chunky for me and it’s too big for my frame around my waist ... just wondering if the ergo 360 Omni mesh is worth it and will fit a body with small frame.

Hi, both my baby and I love this product. I’m 152cm and am a size 12 and I feel as though it fits us fine. Maybe consider going and trying one on before you purchase - that’s what I did.

Hi,
I was just wondering why my sons mouth is covered every time I face him forward in his carrier he is 7 months and still has his mouth cover every time. Am I doing something wrong that you know of?

Hi Sarah, are you folding down the bit at the front? You know, the section that supports his neck when he is sleeping whilst facing you? That’s the only thing I can think of - I recommend you take a peek at the ergo baby videos, they helped me heaps when I was starting out too.
Hi, thank you for responding! yes we have folded it down, I looked on the website and the models have some of their mouths slightly covered too. He might just need to get a bit bigger. Thanks you!

I recently bought the ergo baby omni 360. When I have my baby inward facing, one of the 'sliders' moves slightly - one side seems to click into place but the other side doesn't. Is this a defect or is it something I'm doing wrong?

Hi. If you could please email us at [email protected] we will be able to look at the best way to proceed with this enquiry.
Thank you so much. Jenna.
Hi. I don’t have the Omni model, my carrier is the regular 360 and it has buttons instead of sliders. You’d best contact ergobaby for further support and advice.
Thanks, yes I took it back to Baby Bunting and they phoned Ergobaby for me and left my details with them. Juat waiting for someone to phone me.
I'm pretty sure it's faulty as one of the sliders seems to lock in but the other one doesn't. Perhaps they should have stuck with the old design - sliders may be a bit easier than buttons but not sure how well the sliders will last (especially if one of them is loose from new!)
