I was nervous because of the reviews....
OPSM quoted me over $900 for a pair of multifocals, despite choosing one of the cheapest frames. This is prohibitively expensive for me, so I sought out a pair online. I have probably bought my last 15 pairs online, I have even bought adequate single lens glasses for $15 (Zinnius) and I usually shop at Clearly, so the process is not new for me. Read morer delivery, however, I felt this was unreasonable - you are buying overseas in the middle of a pandemic and expecting your glasses in a week? That is unrealistic. I have bought glasses online from an Australian store not in pandemic times and it took a fortnight. I made my purchase on 15/10 and they arrive today 4/11, a full three weeks later. I think this is very reasonable. Now for the glasses - I chose multifocals, went top of the range with all lens options (including transitions and blue light, etc) and the whole thing cost me $328. WAY more affordable than the $950 from OPSM and I got all the bells and whistles on my frames. I am super happy with them, they are high quality, came well packaged and secure and the fit is good from following all their guides. My only criticism is that the glasses come in those flimsy cloth pouches, I would be hoping for a hard case, but I obviously already have a million at home from other pairs. I think I had the option to purchase one on checkout, but didn't. Long story short - excellent glasses, excellent price - just have reasonable expectations for delivery (in my head I was expecting a month or so)- Product Quality

Lowest Price With "Fast Delivery" . I highly doubt so.
I placed my order with EBD with the promise of 'Fast shipping', even was charged for 'express postage'. The order is in warehouse where 'The final touches are being added' to my order for last 2 weeks.
Was told that it would arrive before 10th October, and yet here I am looking at the status where it still hasn't been shipped.

First order. Supposed to be shipped by Sep 06.
Nothing.
Called and mailed.
Noone called back though got a 10 page survey form to FILL OUT to 'review' the help of the guy that never called.
Called again and they started a NEW order
Supposed to come by 22-Sep and still nothing so far though I keep getting emails that order is progressing but it has been at the same stage since Day ONE
Will try to ask for a refund by 22-Sep and will post review on whether the glasses arrived or even if they denied the refund by Sep 30

Doesn't even deserve the 1 star.
Ordered two pairs of glasses on the 30th of august, things were fine delivery expected to come before the 9th of September, called up on the 8th of September as it still hadn't been shipped, spoke to [Name Removed] who assured me they would be coming on or before the 17th of September, checked this morning to see how the shipping was going only to find out they still have not been cleared for shipping so I called, I spoke with someone who is putting in an escalation to find out why it has taken so long but still have to wait 1 - 2 business days...
Read more to find out what is going on when if they person I first spoke to did this I would have atleast known by now, never will I be buying from this company again as they obviously pick and choose whose order they care for and no my order was not complex it was a simple order. Always reliable with cost saving
Been using them for years as long as you know your script. Definite value for money especially for klutzes like me. Once they got the script wrong and was happy to replace for me free of charge and another time it broke on its own which was also remedied. I've ordered a lot from them so not many faults.

I purchased a large frame intermediate pair of glasses and a pair of readers, each were 20 dollars, my one pair of low end Specsavers intermediate glasses just for comparison cost 110 dollars. The quality for Eyebuy direct glasses is on par with what you pay, they feel a little tight when putting them on but they settle quite comfortably very quickly, and the material of the frame is lack for a better word "cheap" but I went with a low end pair so that's to be expected. Delay and poor updating
I purchased two pairs of glasses on the 2nd of August and I was advised it will arrive in the next 10 days. On the order update page, it said that the expected arrival date was 14th of August, and I am writing this on the 17th as I do not see any further update. I chatted with customer representative twice and the result was only disappointment and insult.

I have ordered multiple pairs of glasses so far and I'm happy with the quality and price. My lens prescription which is high has always been perfect. So much cheaper than buying glasses in store especially for someone who needs high index lenses. They also offer a replacement pair or refund within 14 days of receiving your glasses if they don't fit you, which I needed to do and I got sent a new pair for free which I was very grateful for. Excellent Product, Genuinely Low Prices
I read the reviews here and was apprehensive, but decided to go ahead with a smaller purchase. I bought a medium White Pine frame with steel hinges ($27) with a Single Vision Distance with EBDBlue 360 coating and a thinner lens. All up, it cost me less than $95 with a discount, this is less than just the reglazing done by SS at $99 without any frames, thinning or coating, just the lens.

I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Used to be good before Luxottica ruined it
Eyebuydirect makes very affordable glasses for the masses. The glasses are cheap, frames look good and delivery was fast. It’s founder [Name Removed] created a good company and I bought a few glasses from this company and even got discounts too. The lens manufacturer Essilor (they make the famous transisions lenses) bought a major stake of this company. When Luxottica merged with Essilor, Eyebuydirect turned into crap. The frames are poor quality, the lenses scratch easy, the AR coatings are crap and you don’t get a free repair tool with every glasses anymore. My advice when you buy glasses is stay away from any company that is controlled by Luxottica.

Absolutely love EBD! Great service, price, and products.
So far, I've ordered 7 pairs of glasses and sunglasses with EBD, and the process has been so easy. I had my and my husband's prescription, but we had to measure our own PD. It was pretty easy with the little printout ruler on the website. I have Transitions in my glasses, and my husband got blue light blockers. I love the frames! I did have to adjust the ear bits in hot water, but that's pretty standard with new glasses. It does take a bit of fiddling around, but so worth it not to have to go into the store. We even got a free pair of sunglasses, which I upgraded to prescription lenses for around $40 including express post. Absolutely no complaints.

Do not buy from this place. If you do, keep your expectations very low. Their stuff sucks and it's a hassle trying to sort it. I bought two and i had to get a refund after WEEKS. Not to add the fact that the customer service was the worst.

Ordered on 6th APR 2021, nil updates on website. Emailed them asking what is happining and was greeted with the generic "we have escalated your concern..."
Looking at other reviews, EyeBuyDirect blames delays on Pandemic which in all honesty is a complete load.
Last email stated I will have them on or before the 26th APR 2021, if I have not received them I will be requesting a refund via the ACCC.

Quality eyeglasses, very cheap and fast delivery. I bought 3 eyeglasses -2 for myself and 1 for hubby. Very satisfied and their customer service was wonderful . Bought a very stylish eyeglasses( on sale) with premium progressive lenses as well as photochcromic lenses( transition lenses) all at Au $160+++ only. I did the math per eyeglasses with premium progressive lenses and transition lenses will cost you over $700 -$1000+++ all in, if I were to buy other stores.

I know there are some negative service reviews on here, but I had the opposite experience. First pair ordered and arrived within a few days, however, I did not like the style. Quoting their return policy to them I was offered a replacement and only charged the difference. The second pair took longer to arrive (couple weeks). The quality of both thee glasses are alright, both frames seemed to have a dry film coating on them, but for the price it is fine.

I unwittingly made an order for a pair of glasses on the 6th of February as I’m (still!) in desperate need of new glasses and thought I’d give EyeBuyDirect a chance having never ordered from there before. I was sucked in by the claims of the order fulfilment being 14 days at most.
After ordering I came to this site and read a lot of unfavourable reviews. I thought I’d be the lucky one but I’m definitely not.

Placed my order with an applied discount code however when payment went through the code has disappeared. Emailed straight away and happily received an email apologising for the glitch and a partial refund would be processed within 3-5 working days for the difference.
Compared to others my 3 week wait for my glasses wasn’t too bad, in which time I emailed several times chasing my refund - each time receiving a copy and paste response saying the matter had been escalated to the accounting department and I would here back shortly.

Poor service
Glasses was damaged so had to order a pair urgently. Friend recommended Eyebuydirect with 7-14 days delivery.
Placed order on the 15.
It's now 4 March.
I got no glasses.
All emails requesting update been ignored but funny enough, I get daily 'get these frames for free' spam from them.
First and last time I'm ordering from them.

Keep stuffing up my orders...
I ordered two pairs of glasses and specifically asked them to use the same script and details of my previous order but that didn't match.
I can read with but can't work on a computer with as the focusing distance is too short.
The previous order was fine (although they sent me the wrong size first) and I don't know why they couldn't match the details this time despite the fact I mentioned it not once but twice while orderinh.
Also it took ages for me to get the glasses and they're obviously cut them in china.
Not happy and although they are cheap and look great I'd rather pay more, buy local and have glasses I can use and wish I gave the money to charity instead

Excellent service
Ordered glasses and arrived 14 days later. Love the style, fit, lenses. What costs $200 at an Aust Optometrist cost $40 from Eyebuydirect. Fast delivery. Only downside is cannot claim from health fund as seller is based overseas.
