Great reliable fridge
This fridge has lasted several years and never been a problem. The shelving is easy to move to suit youor needs and also easy to clean. Nice even temp throughout. I would also definitely recommend the upside type of fridge which makes more sense than having the freezer on top.

Fantastic family fridge!
I have only just purchased this fridge after having my previous Fisher & Paykel fridge for over 12 years. This brand is reliable and lasts the test of time. This fridge is durable, practical and has plenty of space! All compartments are easy to open and the temperature remains cool, always keeping your food at the ideal temperature. Perfect for any family. Highly recommended.

Fantastic Fridge and Freezer. Very Roomy
Just love how Shelves just wipe clean. Extremely roomy easily accessible shelves. Fridge at eye level is a fantastic thing don't get lost in the back of the Fridge Love the Freezer Drawers, particularly small middle one which is fantastic for ice cube trays and freezing items flat.. This is my ideal Fridge / Freezer

Best fridge I’ve owned
This fridge is perfect being bottom mount every day items are always at eye level. Super quiet, well lit interior and plenty of room with good size shelves in the door. Crisper keeps vegetables in perfect condition for longer than any previous fridges I’ve owned. The recessed handles are great giving a straight forward minimalist look.

Recommended by Choice
I purchased this fridge after my Westinghouse RJ522V-R stopped working. I was initially just going to replace it with the equivalent model (WTB5400WAR), but there were a few things that steered me away. Choice gave it a relatively low score of 45% - citing "Very large fluctuations in temperature during normal operation" and "Freezer has very poor response to changes in ambient temperature". Choice gave it a food safety score of 28%. Westinghouse fridges, which are no longer made in Australia, have flimsy door shelving in my opinion. I've h...Read more
ad the door shelving break on another fridge, so this was a fairly significant factor for me. Finally, Westinghouse fridges no longer have gravity closing and require an extra flick to close. The salesman said this 'obviously open' feature was intended to avoid doors being left slightly ajar. It would take some getting used to I think. I seriously considered the new LG GT-515WDC. The door shelving was much more robust and a 10 year compressor warranty was compelling. It was well priced and had very good running costs. Choice rated a similar model (GT-515BWL) at 67% overall, with 69% food safety score. However they said the "fresh food compartment is not very uniform in temperature". I couldn't see any reviews of this product online, so I couldn't quite bring myself to buy it. Now to the Fisher and Paykel RF522BPRW6. Choice gave it 'recommended' status with 79% overall and 76% for food safety. The only bad point Choice listed was it didn't have a chiller. I've had bottom mount fridges before so that change didn't worry me. The door shelving is made of heavy duty white plastic. I've only had this fridge 24 hours, so maybe I'll need to re-post after a longer period, but my observations so far are: - tracks on the crisper and the freezer shelves are metal, so slide in and out easily - closing the door with the crisper open gently closes the crisper - while the freezer compartment is larger than the top mount fridge, the drawers take up a fair amount of the usable space - if you pull out the pastry tray, it takes the bottom tray with it - 1 litre containers rock around in the doorSimilar opinion? Bought my fisher n paykel last year. Great efficiency. I saved a lot on my electricity bill. Lots of space. Very quiet. My veggies last longer. Very easy to clean as well. Temperatures stay the same even after lots of opening throughout the day. large freezer capacity also. All in al a great value for money.

Smart design and layout, excellent
Changing from a double-door fridge, the Fisher and Paykel was like a breath of fresh air. We liked the layout of the shelves, wide and shallow shelves so you get to see everything in the fridge clearly without having to rummage or dig deep. The interior light were well positioned and laminates the interior very well. Having used Japanese branded fridges before (like Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Samsung, Sharp etc), it lacks the the little details and various additional conveniences that Japanese models offer (e.g. built-in ice maker without piping). ...Read more
The clear plastic baskets look sleek and allow you to see what inside easily. I trust it will last us for a good many years to come, having used Fisher and Paykel products before, and the warranty on this item is quite good.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

My fridge is super noisy!!! I barely slept last night. It was delivered yesterday - new from Harvey Norman. I followed the HN delivery guy's instructions and waited the requisite 2 hours before turning on to cool. Any ideas why it's so noisy when all the reviews say it's super quiet???

There's only one idea that I'd have, and that is, declare it a DOA. I'd get HN to get another one delivered tomorrow, you can't have a sleepless night sleep over a DOA fridge
Ive been told from a couple of sources that the newer fridges are inherently noisier, something to do with what they had to do when making fridges more eco energy friendly. Very common feedback that newer fridges are noisier.
