PCD Board fried at 21/5 years old
Fourth Pyrolytic clean and blacked the house out. It blew the fuse out on the street and had to call Energex to restore power.
Suncorp will not insure as it is a computer failure not motor fusion.
I was on hold to F&P for 45 mins waiting for customer support only to be told they can send out a technician out at a cost of $210.
Bad product over priced and poor build. Will go for European model with a better warranty.
Purchased in November 2021 at Harvey Norman Retail Stores - Appliances for A$3,500.00.

I will never touch Fisher & Paykel products again
I bought a top of the range oven in 2014 and we were renovating the kitchen. I couldn't install a kitchen till 10 months later and just recently in the past a couple of months the product has failed and have a major failure. The oven is no turning on at all, I called Fisher and Paykel and explained to them the item shouldn't stop completely after 3 years especially when you pay top dollars for this item, the after sales service is extremely unhelpful and not willing to help at all.

A very spacious and simple oven to use
I am happy with this oven. It is spacious. It has nine functions including a pyrolytic cleaning function and a rotisserie - the other functions range from grilling to various kinds of baking. The temperatures are accurate, it heats quickly and the fan ensures that there are no hotspots. The grill heat is easy to control with a dial from 1-10. The door is cool as it contains four layers of glass and there is a child lock to stop young children operating it. What I love best is the simplicity of the two dials. One sets the function and the other ...Read more
sets the temperature. It is so easy to use. The oven also has preset cooking functions should you wish to set and forget, and a heat venting system to keep the oven cool in it's cavity so that internal space can be maximised. Be aware the oven cools by venting heat out the front of the oven, and after cooking, the cooling fan, which is a little bit noisy, stays on a long time. The oven has a pyrolytic cleaning function which I probably will never use as this function on all brands and models seems to present locking problems which can only be fixed by a service agent. Update: I used it twice and it locked the second time - requiring a service agent to remove the oven completely and replace the timer at the back. Luckily it was still under warranty otherwise it would have been an expensive repair. If I were buying this oven again I would probably get the same oven without the pyrolytic function. But other than that, I can't fault this oven. I love it. I am disappointed F&P don't add the internal meat probe to this 90cm model as they do with 60cm and 75cm ones. It is the feature I used most in the two narrower models which I have owned in other houses.

Breaks and customer service unable to fix in less than a month
Less than two years old - ran self clean and oven won't unlock. Second week of dealing with incompetent customer service. Part is on backorder suggests it's a common fault.

how long is the cooling fan suppose to stay on after oven is turned off???
2 answers
Hello. As far as I know, the cooling fan stays on until a certain temperature is reached, so on hot days it may take longer. Generally mine has been staying on between 30-80 minutes but to be honest, I've never measured that. Sometimes it seems to stay on for ages but it is quiet so I'm not bothered by it. The cooling fan is necessary because F&P has decreased the insulation in order to maximise internal space. I have had three different F&P oven models in three different houses and I have never had any problems with any of them. I hope this answers your question. If your oven fan is on for hours then perhaps it needs looking at.
Thank you for your response. My cooling fan stays on for about 40 mins so I can assume that this is ok.
