Can you still get a new agitator for the older MW511 as all three fins have now broken off.
1 answer
The same agitator is used in all top loaders.
Can be ordered directly online and have it delivered.
(undo wingnut in centre, lift off old, fit new and tighten.)

I have no idea. I’m just a person and I’ve never used anything but cold wash. But I think potentially it could
it will not harm the machine!
might want to put a plug in the hot valve to prevent leakage onto floor.

Thank you Fisher_man pretty much as I suspected. The washers default setting is warm and A couple of times I forgot to change it to cold.
I think the default setting can be set to cold.
Thanks again

Hi, I have just purchased this model and I am trying to pre set the wash options, when I follow instructions from manual it won't allow me to change the water from warm to cold. It will however let me change it on start up but not when trying to change the pre set (manual says this is a pre set change option ), has anyone changed preset options ?? thanks

Hi
My mw512 would not wash, the motor just jerks half a revolution both ways. Does spin in spin cycle. Please advise.
Rob Forsterasked
How many litres of water does it take to fill for Low, Medium, and High loads? I want to work out how much bleach to use, and I need the exact number of litres. The only information available is "one cycle" (doesn't say what size) uses 77L. I'm assuming this is a high cycle with all the rinses.
1 answer
Depend on what clothes sre in the machine, and slight variations in the pressure sensor etc.
Put clothes in, start machine, when it stops filling, put drain hose in container and select spin cycle, count number of buckets you empty.
easy.

MW512 is trickling water (both hot and cold) so it pauses by itself each a couple of minutes and I have to keep pushing Start so it can continue the cycle. Help please?
1 answer
The machine has a (sensor?) fault and auto stops.
Could be the RPS on the motor.
May be the controller itself.
This is one for the F&P technician to repair.

I got the electronics wet when i was cleaning the back of my mw512. I then, foolishly, turned the power back on before it was totally dry. The startup light began briefly and then cut out and now i cannot get amy power to the machine.
Any way that i can fix this myself or cheaply?

Two options:
1. Spray _WD40 on control board allow twenty minutes wipe excess. Try machine ... If no change
2. Pull out control panel photo all connections IB situ then removed. Go to F,&P repair centre replace whole control board. $ unsure probably between $130-$250.
Look at options. If you get tech $120 visit plus parts +20% margin and labor, = $395+ or buy new machine on special below $600. Sorry if this bad news.
Depends on whether display/ selector or main pcb got wet.

Machine: MW512AU model (5.5Kg I think/guess).
Problem: Washes okay, but stops in the spin/drain mode - when left and restarted at same mode it will go for a while, full pressure of water drains out for a little while then it stops again - AND there is a slight ‘burning’ smell after a while (and when it stops). From reading some the answers here I get the idea it could - could - be the pump and I may need to get a replacement, OR am wondering if it could also be just muck somewhere???? At the moment we’ve been able to empty most of the water out in a series of spin/drain mode executions - :) - and am thinking of unscrewing there pump, but watexc to check with others first :)

If you have a burning smell, I would suggest it's the pump but the question is, is the partially blocked? I would run a small wash cycle with CRC and see if it clears. DrBob737
Replace the drain pump, it has shorted turns and trips internally.

Quicksmart MW513 top loader. Just replaced the computer. When I press start to begin cycle the Short Wash and Spin lights come on and beeps continuously. Any ideas on how to fix???

It wants to know what bowl size you have.
One computer can fit many sized machines.
You should have received instructions on how to set bowl size.

where is the lint catcher? thanks
2 answers
The lint catcher is located under the agitater remove the fabric softener you will find a tap at the bottom of the agitater remover that and you will find the lint in the bottom it is a very easy process and easy to clean .
The lint catcher is the whole of the outside of the inner bowl.
During washing, the water travels down through the agitator and comes back in through the outside of the inner bowl.
those holes have sharp edges on the outside (they will cut your hands) and that traps the lint.
When it spins, the lint is dislodged and gets washed down the drain.
