Hi as long as you have your hose screwed into the hot water and the tap is touned on, all you have to do is select the hot water from the options on the right hand side on the panel. So turn the power on then select hot from the panel .

This machine I was given second hand. It appears that this smartdrive has been discontinued. On the touchpad, the plastic cover on the power button is cracked and broken. A small piece of plastic that makes contact with the contact on the power board has broken off underneath. Activating the power switch manually on the board brings up error code 00011110. Is it worth getting this fixed? I'm not sure how old it is but could be 10 years old.

My MW513 splashes water during the wash cycle. The water is running down the inside of the cabinet and evaporating leaving soap powder around the inner channel at the bottom and also presenting on the pedestal (feet) at the floor. Any ideas what causes this ?

My washer will start and stop dispensing water repeatedly for about 2 minutes before it stops and beeps with an error. It won’t spin or agitate during this time and I’ve tried turning it on with different settings (wash/rinse/spin/etc). It still drains water normally on that setting but will still stop after a minute or so. It worked fine 24hrs ago. Anyone come across this?

There may be a water leak near the circuit boards. Remove the control panel and look for water stains.

MW511, My laundry sink doesn't have a hot water valve connection on the tap but dont use hot water anyway, problem is when the machine is fulling up and partially through the first cycle water is coming out of the hot water inlet valve from the back of the machine. I've just hooked the hose up so that the excess water drains back to the sink, but its wasting water. Can anyone help?

You can get what's called a blanking cap which screws over the vale not being used. However it's always recommended that they both be connected. Hope this helps.

QuickSmart Top Loader

My F&P smartdrive turns on and runs for ~5 mins then dies. It will not turn back on for ~20. This happens on all cycles, wash, rinse and spin. It can be agitating, emptying, or spinning when it dies.

There is a smell of something plastic getting hot, but not a burning smell. Seems like a fuse is being tripped and resetting.

Any ideas what is going on and how to fix it?

Hi, I was selecting the wash cycle (like I normally would) and the machine made a click sound and then it lost all power. I have tried turning it off and on again and checked the outlet (which is still working with other appliances), but to no avail. Where do I start?

Hi? I would like to fix my machine or find out what to do with it or just get a new washing machine??
It beeps on every cycle. I thought I had put to much washing in but it will do it on a small wash.
I will empty the machine. And I can get it to do a wash. Then the next wash will beep a thousand times. I empty it start again it won't spin the wet clothes. So I have to take them to the laundry mat.
What should I Do?

I have the same washing machine, and it was overfilling.. this was the cause.

John D lIMA

There is a transparent rubber tubing which connects the water level sensor to the diaphragm switch on the Motor Controller board (which control the machine water level), If you inspect the rubber tubing minutely you will notice there is a wire that runs through it. So if you pull the rubber tubing off the switch for some reason, and then when you reconnect it back again, make sure this wire within the rubber tube is also connected back the switch inner bore, if not there could be a water overflow problem.

In my case it was observed that this wire was short as the rubber tubbing happened to be much longer than the wire within, so I cut the rubber tubing a bit shorter so that the inner wire could now also connect simultaneously with the switch on the controller.

I think the colour of the wire is blue.

Hope this solution work for you. if not this switch on the Motor Controller Board may be defective, and you may have to try replacing the motor controller, here on the website "Trade me" they are available for 50 -75 NZD SECOND HAND ONES..
