Worth the money
My experience generally with fisher and paykel fridges have always been good. Other then the odd noise the freezer makes or a motor noise when in summer time, it has always chilled and frozen my food and drinks to perfecfion. Recommended to those that want reliability along with space and performance.

Love it
Love this fridge, hubby and I were tossing up between this or the smaller one and ended up with the bigger one. Love how big the fruit and veg compartments are. Freezer at the bottom was mainly what I wanted and I love the size of it. Can fit so much in. It's easy to keep clean and I love how it beeps if the door isn't shut properly.

Interior is solidly built and well designed for versatile storage.
Maintains a good temperature in all compartments and is quiet enough not to really notice the motor working every now and then. The interior is easy to clean with good, solid and robust shelving at an easy level for access. Great lighting - can see everything! Easily accommodates large trays or bowls as there is no dividing wall between the two doors. Looks great, just be careful about denting the genuine stainless steel skin.

Great brand
Easy to clean, tempreture of the fridge is perfect doesn't make the food go too watery. Definatly would reccomend this as a long time fridge. Very spacious and is easy to organise food. Does not leave fingerprint marks on the fridge and does not make annoying sounds when running. Great purchase.

Love it!
Easily accessible. Cool crisp veges. Good storage options. Durable and aesthically pleasing. Makes a quite yet bold statement in any family home kitchen. Guests ask where we purchased it from and how much we purchased it for. No hestitation in getting over previously loved and now replaced older secOnd hand fridge.

Happy with this fridge
Have had this fridge for almost 12 months and so far very happy with it. The only issue was getting used to a slightly higher level of noise compared to our previous mid-size Kelvinator that we've owned for 15 years. Asked Fisher & Paykel to look into the noise issue, a contractor (very friendly & polite) came the following day and adjusted some piping at the back of the fridge, which seemed to have helped with the noise. Overall I think the noise is to be expected due to large size of the fridge. Also, 614L is probably just a bit too large for...Read more
my household - would have been happy with the next size down, but nevertheless very happy with the purchase. Great for dinner parties/entertaining as everything fits in perfectly and fridge never looks jam-packed.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great family fridge
Cant fault it - good space in both fridge and freezer, compartments work well and the layout is intuitive. The alarm is a bit annoying but can be switched off.
Happy with the cooling function and the fruit and veg drawers seem to keep the food fresher for longer so quite happy with this buy.

So far so good.
good fridge so far .vegi crisper very good food stays fresh longer then I expected. Easy to clean, can be noisy at times but not too bad. Freezer compartment is very good. would recommend this to a couple or small family not suitable for a large family as fridge space on the small size.

Ideal fridge for our needs and space
It has performed as expected from the moment it was switched on. It is quiet and maintains its temperature as set. Its layout is functional and easy to access. The freezer is excellent and slides easily on its metal rollers. We are happy with it and would recommend it to anyone wanting a fridge this size.

Very good and perfect size
Great and modern style. It is not loud at all. Super easy to clean and convenient storage and departments. I am a family of four and we fit our groceries perfectly. I would recommend for 3 to 5 people. The doors are easy to open and close and I would recommend.

So far no mechanical issues but the design isn't convenient for us
We bought this as a part of a kitchen reno. It looks great and we've had no issues regarding temperature or performance. But we didn't consider the design for our needs. With the 2 doors to the fridge, you really have to open both doors to get items in and out of the fridge. I had though you could just open one side as needed. The freezer isn't as user friendly as I would like either, especially with the slide out draw at the very top. But those are issues we should have considered prior to purchase. I recommend really thinking about the design when in the showroom. I've found it to be very quiet at all times and also reliable in performance.

Love it fit my home
I had considered the french door refrigerator initially but opted for the more space efficient design of the single door since i had the space for the outswing. as it was already at my house i opened it up to see if i had chosen well between the two. i was shocked by how narrow the doors were, the bottom shelf buckets would hardly accomodate a gallon of milk! the doors are light weight and seemed to close and open easily, but that is without the unit on or full. i really was surprised by how small the doors were and suggest you try to locate this model in person before purchasing. its nothing like the wider 36" french door units, its very compact. that said, its a beautiful refrigerator that is really nice inside the main body.

Bought in April, fridge is never quiet
Writing from the US to spread the word... All fridges make some noise especially with the advent of the variable speed compressor, but it should not be on 80% of the time; nor should it be audible at 30' away in another room. I fear the lovely exterior with dent-friendly gum wrapper thin metal skin is in fact cladding for a shoddy, thoughtless build. Installed last April on a level floor and at recommended fridge and freezer settings (6 out of 10 tics), within a few weeks my once-quiet new fridge emits a loud constant whine (think stereo speake...Read more
r left on when the tuner is off) most of the time, and the intense whine can last for hours and hours. It's possible to dampen the sound at 30' by adding 5/8" plasterboard and rock wool to the back and sides (which defeats its aesthetic value). But up close it's useless as the most of the sound emanates from the front door and freezer panels which a rep told me are insulated with crack seal foam (Great Stuff in the US). This foam is great against climate but fairly useless against noise. For that you need viscoelastic dampening or acoustical caulk or mass-loaded vinyl. Customer service is likewise superficial: Truly courteous on the phone but unable to help beyond offering to book a service call - which they don't mention you will pay for if the tech deems the fridge "within the range of normal." What is the quantitative range of normal in, say, dB levels? A curt manager I reached by phone wouldn't tell as "We are not required by law to do so." I do know ActiveSmart technology apparently "learns" the owner's timing and use and revs itself up at a given time (say, 9:00 pm) in anticipation of door opening and the whine is your constant companion far into the night. "Is there any way to trick the machine into changing the time the 55-70 dB whine begins?" I asked the F&P Regional Manager and trainee who paid a house call when I questioned the "range of normal" risk from a commercial service. ("In the area," they called and announced their arrival with 2 hours notice.) The Rep shrugged, "Not that I know of." I live in a big city and am familiar with jack hammering, car horns, trucks, subways, people yelling, ER vehicles but not a high pitched constant machine moan inside my house. Though they did not induce the noise or measure it in any way (they focused on the back), the Regional Manager later reported the unit "runs perfect" and so ended any further contact with F&P. I shopped and found a floor sample Westinghouse French door fridge for half off and can't wait to swap. As for the F&P beauty queen? Not sure. I might donate it to Habitat for Humanity and take a tax deduction. (It was $2K new.) I might sell it on craigslist. But first I'll explore US consumer law, industry noise standards, etc. Noise is a common complaint for F&P fridges. Perhaps I just got a lemon that abruptly revealed itself after a few weeks of happy use. In my view, Fisher & Paykel focus on architecturally pleasing design and intensive marketing ("Experience Centers" in New York City featuring handsome young chefs and designer testimonials) but their cheap build, lack of real customer service and failure to address a known issue belies their avowed mission to "innovate" and "make life better." They care nothing for their customers. Right now I have little recourse except to tell everyone I can that unless you're a fan of jet engines at take off, or the sound a stereo speaker makes when it's left on, stay far away from Fisher & Paykel fridges. I will extend that to avoiding anything and everything with the Fisher & Paykel name on it.1 comment

Best fridge that I ever had
its always maintain a good temperature, not too humid too. its quiet and quite a energy saver too. shelves are arrangeable which means you have plenty of options of putting your groceries in whichever way you want. sometimes I put pots with leftover food in it too, and its just big enough to fit all of them. loved it

Works quite well but not big enough
I have had this fridge for about 6 months. So far no problems with it mechanically but being new you would expect that. I have no complaints about temperature control that seems to work well and I do not find the fridge noisy. I don't like the freezer drawer set up at all. You can hardly fit anything in there and I have had to get a second fridge in the garage to take the overflow. Likewise up the top the capacity is much smaller than the fisher & paykel upside down fridge I had before. You cant fit as much in the doors. It is easy to clean and looks lovely but the functional capacity is not so good.

Great fridge for a reasonable price
I have had this fridge 7 months now and it has been great. It is quiet enough but can make a lot of noises when making ice. The freezer is a chest style and can be a bit of a pain to organise as everything has to stack on top of each other. Other than that, no complaints.

Love the space!
Keeps cold if door isn't opened constantly. Quiet. Easy to clean. Weird smell when you first get it, but goes away quickly. Love the storage on the door. The stainless steel is very nice in a newer style home and is super easy to clean. I used windex. Overall a great fridge.

range" so I could compare as evidence if needed. She replied with an offer to return the machine for a full store credit! This meant I have to purchase appliances from Albert Lee in Seattle til I reach the amount I spent on the FP. I consider that pretty fair as I needed a new vac, range hood and dishwasher. The Whirlpool WRF540 floor model I got for 1/2 price at a Sears Outlet is wondereful! About 30" deep, it's 4" deeper than the FP. It's attractive enough and oh, so quiet.
