When my machine is filling the jets of water on the left side come out (almost) horizontally and this causes water to splash over the top of the bowl. Generally the filling process is very messy and a big disappointment for a brand new machine. It looks to me that the water should be going straight down - not (almost) sideways. Is this the normal way for this machine to fill?

I would like to remove drain outlet hose from the machine to replace with a longer one. Seems a little complicated Peter

We have connected a hose which we bought from Bunnings onto the washing machine hose so we can water our plants, why waste any water. The hose addition is about 10 mts long, works great no problems with our washing machine, plants love it, machine is 6 yrs old.

It happened to mine so I guess it's pretty common, but I couldn't be bothered changing it. Still gets the clothes washed.

My machine fills fine and starts to agitate, but with 52 mins left in the cycle (of a 56 min normal wash) it beeps and says NO TAP. The only thing I can do is to stop the machine and do a spin cycle to get all the water out.
So it fills and empties fine... why NO TAP when it should be agitating?

Hoses connect the right way around?
Hot tap turned on?

Ppp

Hoses were connected 3 years ago and haven’t changed. No kinks, no blockages, no leaking, waste hose is not blocked in any way. The machine fills perfectly fine. It’s after the machine is full that it says NO TAP

Check that the taps have been turned on.
Check that the inlet hose filters are not blocked.
Check that the inlet hoses are not kinked or squashed.
Check to see if the drain hose is too low or is pushed into the standpipe too far. This will cause the water to siphon out of the machine refer to Installation Instructions.
The flow rate of the supply water may be too low.

Does anyone fine their washsmart just does not use enough water?my son has one and I have bought their sheets home as they are getting discolored and I cannot believe how dirty the water is in my old but a goody fisher and paykel machine with an old fashioned agitator have had to pump out water and redo a complete wash cycle again

Don’t know if you are already doing this but I had the same problem then realised I was always washing on the high efficiency setting which gives less water. If your washing on the regular cycle when you turn the machine button on the little light is highlighted about the high efficiency button if you press it it turns of so it’s just regular wash, so you then press start and off you go.hope this helps

Why does my washer start filling with water then cuts off the cold water, while the hot comes through at a trickle? After a few seconds the water comes back on. It does this till it's filled. Very frustrating as it's takes forever to get going! This washer is three months old and a replacement for the first one which would not fill at all.

Hot tap not working or hot valve not opening fully.

Anni

Both taps work fine, just not with this washing machine. My old Fisher and Paykel was 16 years old when it died and it's replacement is a big disappointment. Valves have been changed with the same issue.

Thanks for your reply!

I have a Fisher & Paykel Top Loader (Intuitive Eco). Although I have gone through the options for selecting a cold water wash the machine will only fill with hot water. Both hot and cold water taps are turned on. Are you able to assist?

Hi Guys,

My Washing Machine wont turn on.
I have checked the power, no problem there.
Thought it may be a fuse?
Thanks

The only fuses are on the motor controller(a.k.a logic board/motherboard/same thing) which aren't field serviceable. Something would of caused a no power condition in the first place. The motor controller itself could of failed on its own or due to an over-current condition due to external components failing. eg. motor, pump, solenoids, etc. All of these components have resistances specs, so can be checked with a multimeter. If you don't know what you're doing or aren't competent, get a professional to look at it. The voltage levels inside your machine have the potential to kill you or anyone using the machine.

That's great info Jacob.

Hi Brendan. I never had any water leak issues so I'm not sure what the problem would be. It may be an internal hose or the pump or something else.
