What a shame such a hardworking bunch of individuals get so slammed, for such petty irrelevant matters. Good on you guys for giving the public an option to buy goods that are healthy, ethically produced and toxin free. Clearly the people writing these stupid comments have never run a business in their life and have no idea how much you put on the line AND probably operate on lesser profit margins due to the significantly higher cost of goods... only to have a bunch of whinging nitpickers shred you online. You people should be ashamed of yourse...Read more

Not healthy food, just good marketing
I buy organic produce and products, because some pesticides make me very sick. I find that some of their fresh produce is not as fresh and organic as it is marketed, but the quality is still ok. When I make sauerkraut (a fermented product) using their cabbage it DOES turn into sauerkraut, meaning the cabbage was fresh and non-irradiated. on the other hand, mostly all of their other products, such as nuts, cereals, flour, etc make me CONSISTENTLY sick, and I mean VERY sick. This makes me think that they are Not fresh, not organic, not spray free...Read more
, not local as marketed, and on top of that probably massively irradiated!! If they think they can fool their customers they’ve got it wrong. People like me shop at health food stores for a reason, and we are not stupid. Change your policy Flannerys, be honest with your customers, and forget about Chinese imports. They make you money in the short term but you loose valuable customers for the long run. I am Never buying from you again.1 comment

Don't ever order from Flannerys & give them your mobile number - you'll get constant spam messages
I made the mistake of ordering from their Chermside store once. I left my mobile number only so that I could be advised when the products came in. Ever since then, my mobile keeps getting spam messages of Flannery's specials. Apparently by advising my mobile number I "consented" to receiving spam. I have contacted them repeatedly asking them to take my name & number off their database. They promise to do this but never do.

Skin cream allergy
I bought a skin care product there and tried the sample they gave me when I went home had a very bad reaction and took it back for a refund and told they do not refund and was forced to take a gift voucher which I didn't want. Have been buying from Flannerys 20 years or so since they begun. They have lost a loyal customer..

Loganholme Flannerys is a joke. Unhelpful, lazy staff, overpriced, always running out of stock.
Poor service from unhelpful staff, way overpriced products. There are very limited choices over this side of town to find safe allergy friendly and truly natural products. I end up having to go to Flannerys even though I am rarely satisfied with the experience. For instance, I have been living here for 3 years and have only been able to get an Acai smoothie ONCE. Every other time I've asked, the response is "The kitchen is closed". Why on earth offer a product that is so sporadic? I've been told this when it's the middle of the day on a weekend...Read more
and there's more than one staff member there. Why can one of them not make a smoothie? Perhaps Flannerys need to advertise how many MINUTES a week their 'kitchen' is actually open! My other gripe is that when a product is missing off the shelf and I ask about it I get a useless response of "oh". That's it!! Not even a "hang on and I will look out the back for you"; not even forthcoming with any info on when that item will come in again ... just "oh". That is appalling customer service! The chick didn't even get up from her chair to look or check for anything. This is not the first time I've experienced this. But mostly it's the criminal prices they charge in there for some items that are necessities. I've seen price differences of close to $20 per kilo cheaper on some items from other wholefood stores such as Wray Organics and Kiah at Mt Gravatt. Flannerys is just a rip off and exploiting people who aren't able to shop in the regular supermarkets due to certain allergies that mainstream gluten free doesn't cover ... e.g. Soy allergy. I'm just going to continue to lobby the other stores to open a shop further down the highway to service Loganholme down to North Gold Coast. We really need more choices, and they are much better stores in my view ... just too damn far away in their current locations.1 comment

Overcharged both times I've purchased there
I went to Flannery's Miami for the second time today in six months. Again, when my products were weighed I thought it seemed heavy. When I queried the weight and requested a reweigh on other scales it turns out (as had occurred the last time I went) that the keyboard was resting on the scales. Today they rang up 250 grams of dried bananas instead of 60 grams and also an extra 200gms on top of the carob buttons I had purchased. This is many dollars over the price.
Noone apologised for this, they just reweighed the product after removing the keyboard. I did wonder how many other people have been overcharged?

e apologised for this error. This is certainly not the experience we want our wonderful customers to encounter. We will be speaking with our staff about properly assessing that the scales are clear before weighing products, as well as best practice customer service. Once again, we do apologise for this experience and sincerely hope we can leave you with a positive experience the next time you visit a Flannerys store.Similar opinion? Benowa Flannerys; poor attitude and service
I have spent literally thousands of dollars in Flannerys Benowa over the last 18 months since diagnosed with adrenal fatigue bordering on chronic fatigue. Half of the staff are friendly but they are a handful who are so rude, unhelpful and downright ignorant. I suffered one of then today, so walked out, I've had enough & will not spend one more dollar there. For that matter, nor any other Flannerys on the Gold Coast as I have been told about 10 wealthy businessmen from Sydney, who already own the GreenCross Vets franchises and the Pet Barn fran...Read more
chises have now bought out all the Flannery stores; big changes coming and indicating not supportive of naturopathic type of service. Mould on fruit & Veg!!!!
This shop should be closed down. It has taken me a few weeks to be able to sit down and draft a review that is not full of curse words.
I regret asking the eleven-teen year old who was on shift if there was any broccoli in stock, I honestly could not believe his response. He shrugged his shoulders at me!! Another rude staff member barked from the till 'we have broccolini' I asked if it could be pointed out to me as I had already searched high and low! There was actually no broccolini, I noticed and pleasantly pointed out that most vegetables...Read more

Failing customer service
Flannerys is not keeping up with the level of customer service it needs to be delivering. Staff seem to have superiority issues, on many occasions I have witnessed staff speaking down to customers and do not make customers feel welcome. With the variety of online products and home delivered organic fruit and veg services I don't understand why Flannerys is not providing an online option for customers.

Really Poor Service
Consistently poor service from [name removed] - two stores rate a particular mention - Robina and Wynnum. These staff are not at all helpful and particularly arrogant. I now do my shopping online or any other health food store.

Terrible service!
Just moved into the area and looked online for an Organic Supermarket and found Flannerys. My partner and I visited in our midday break yesterday and couldn't believe how unfriendly, rude and unhelpful the staff were. No welcome, staff chatting amongst themselves and completely unhelpful and unfriendly when my partner asked for some help. We had a trolley full of items, meat, veg, fruit, milk, cheese, bread etc and we put the whole lot back and walked out. We refuse to spend our hard earned money here.

Yes Mrs Flannerys is expensive but they are franchises and really a small goods seller. I agree with poor treatment in some if their stores especially Liganholm but Benowa and Hope Island stores have always been helpful and welcoming to me. Benowa has amazing supply of variety.

Overpriced+unfriendly staff
You pay more for the same product you can find in a different health shop, But you get the worse treatment. I'm always annoyed when I take my kids there. In one episode my toddle peed accidentally and the staff was sooooo unhappy, unfriedly and unhelpful, everyone holding a bitter face at me. Today I have another sadly episode. (Not that bad). It make the store So unpleasant (Robina Store).
Why pay more and still be treaty like a dog? No sense. Flannerys Robina you lost me forever..

Lets just steb back here
So much for people trying to promote healthy living, all these negative reviews on this site are clearly made by those who cant see passed their own nose.
These are smalls businesses so prices are going to be a little higher
These "students" being spoke of are dedicating their lives to ascertain knowledge for the service of others, they do their best to graciously share such knowledge for your benefit
Stores like these are very much needed in every town, i know of so many people living in remote areas that don't have the everyday access to such variety in health alternatives. When they walk into such a store you can feel their appreciation... you people just take it for granted
Sickens me!

Empty your pockets!
Flannerys is grossly overpriced for everything. The staff are fairly knowledgeable, however are not very approachable. I would recommend doing the research online first, and then buying through a site like iherb, which is 100 times cheaper.

Poor service Flannerys loganholme
I finally decided to take the jump and shop at Flannerys after seeing all of their TV adverts.. Massively over priced for what they sell. Staff are rude and had no idea when I asked a question regarding bath milk. I'd be embarresed to have a franchise that smelt like it was being run by a bunch of monkys.

High hopes but disappointed
Prices were really high, repetitive products on shelves, staff quite rude, overall not a good experience. Staff also made claims that were simply not true e.g. Coles only sells fake maple syrup

Wont be going back
I wish i had have read the reviews on this shop before driving half an hour there to try to find some organic groceries. I was shocked at the prices, even for organic food, $18 a kilo for tomatos and broccoli??? that is ridiculous! and the staff were rude aswell, i asked a lady about a product and she said huh? (she wasnt listening to me) so i asked again and she said what? obviously still not listening so i repeated myself a third time and she said oh no we dont have that. i then found that product by myself in the store, which she had just told me they didnt stock. obviously they dont take their job seriously..
Way too expensive, rude staff, lack of stock
