Service limited and stock out of date
I'm always a bit surprised when I go to Flannery's Chermside. I usually walk into an empty store with 3-4 staff members milling around. No one greets me. When I go to the checkout... normally can't see any staff and have to wait... not sure where they go but it's not the normal standard you'd experience in a grocery store. With no other customers it should be priority to at least serve the sole customer who wants to pay you money.

dn't have a new one anywhere. When I asked the cashier he firstly said the bread makers made a mistake, and then he added that their sticker machine broke. He assured me it was fresh and delivered today. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and chose to believe him. However, when I got home and opened the bread, it was very, very, stale. Definitely past it's best before date. Fair enough to sell it, but I paid full price and it is very poor practice indeed to modify best before dates and sell stock at full price. The following week a sign informed me that particular bread maker is no longer selling through Flannerys due to low sales.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Convenient
I visit Flannerys Rode rd a lot & always find it a pleasant experience. Good parking, clean, light bright, relaxed staff.
Huge variety of quality fresh items organic & vegan too.
Cafe does not charge extra $ for dairy free milks or decaf- amazing.

Bought keto bread here for my wife.
It’s more low card bread but it actually tastes pretty close to real bread. Well worth the trip out to Mona vale.
Had this for breakfast, am not sure how well it freezes yet.

Great and Helpful Service at Cronulla.
Shopping for my wife isn't easy, but the girls helped me find a lovely natural face cream and were very patient. My wife was very happy so I'm happy. Thanks girls.

Filthy eating area and unhygienic self serve at Crows Nest.
Public health authorities have been informed regarding the ingrained filth surrounding the eating area and particularly the ingrained food on the floors and tables. Flying insects land on food whilst your are eating because the hygiene has been so neglected for so long in this store. Manager has been has been made aware of filth and walks away but will send a staff member to deal with complaint so he doesn't acknowledge the complaint so doesn't respond to the complaint, staff members have been told to say they are busy but they are not. oops that are left on the outside of self serve bins are covered in stuck on food which the fly's and insects sit on and eat and defecate on, the scoop.s then goes back into the bin and spreads it's faeces on the food inside. These scoops need to be covered at all times and cleaned regularly. There are complaints that the ready made hot and cold foods in the buffet are out of date produce and products so beware. The pricing you pay at the cashier counter is often different from the marked price on the shelf and are therefore overcharged on a variety of products. The staff are mentally lethargic and indifferent to service, which is often slow and cold in the catering area. The management of this store needs to be replaced as is evidenced by the spirit of the store, it profoundly lacks any of the fundamental elements of true organic living, it's a dead experience walking into that particular store with no trust that it will get any better and shine the true ethos and spirit and community care that it should. Therefore an official investigation has been started.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Naturopaths Need Customer Service TRaining
I regularly shop at Mrs Flannerys at Bromberg Plaza. The naturapaths never really show any interest in when you want to know something which could eventuate into a sale. Their lack of interest really annoys me.
The staff are sometimes just too busy to serve because they are counting something or doing something on the computer. Its got really bad in recent times. Customer service focus has gone out the window. I wont go back after my experience this weekend.

Top drawer service
I wanted to buy the gluten free Xmas cake that was advertised in the Flannery’s email I received because my daughter is coeliac. It was not available in our local store in Crows Nest NSW (apparently they didn’t get any). The member of staff helping us got in touch with the Lane Cove store but without success. So I wrote to Flennery’s to see if they could assist.
Their Marketing Manager wrote back to me:
“This year, our wonderful Christmas cake maker was overwhelmed with the orders and so a few stores missed out on the early orders.

Organic doesn’t mean unclean
Ordered two pots of tea. The teapots were stained badly inside and dirty on the outside. I draw the line at natural. Not impressed and never again!

What Happened to Flannerys!
I have been a Mrs Flannerys shopper for many years and although a bit pricey they stocked alot of good products and had good super specials that made it more afordable for financial strugglers trying to stay healthy, (like their Super Saturdays with 20% off for members). The past year everything has changed, no more Super Saturdays, When they do have some items on special they never seem to be in stock and the sales are weak, the staff seem miserable and the Flannery own brand Insecticide Almonds smell like insecticide... Such a shame, their change in ownership is all about the profit. Im happy to shop elsewhere.

Product bought
Bought product that was short dated. Label stated best before 21/10/18. Within 5 minutes of buying product tasted it and it tasted off.
Phoned Store and week end manager told me would not refund. Very disappointing. What a waste of my money $3.77.

Depends who serves you: organic shouldn’t be that judgemental
There are some very nice people working at Flannerys, particularly in the cafe. The store is however a different story.
I wouldn’t recommend going here when treating an illness, or if you do don’t make any illness obvious.
I have not ever seen such a lack of professionalism or respect in this regard. Other stores might be better, my experience is at Bondi Junction. As I mentioned it depends who serves you. I have never had a problem in the cafe, and the store has some very nice people. Unfortunately it is not consistent and when bad, it is very bad, judgemental, and borderline abusive.

Would give 0 if possible, cafe officially closes at 4, yet they will not serve you at 3:55
I give them 0 stars. I went to order a drink at 3:55pm. The staff at the cafe said they close at 4pm. I said well I know, it's 3:55pm, they looked at me strangely not knowing how to respond and didn't take my order.

Is anything from China really certified organic
Unlike many people giving reviews here, I have always found the staff at Flannerys Chermside to be very approachable, good natured and helpful.
However, I have noticed that most of the seeds and other packaged food stuffs are from China - the most polluted country on the planet. Having also been a shopper on eBay for many years and seen so many fake items and false marketing claims by Chinese sellers, I am therefore extremely skeptical when I see cerified organic on the back of Chinese produce. It might be cheaper to buy from there, but is ...Read more
organic really what we are getting? I also notice that another reviewer has complained about bad reactions to some of this produce. This does not inspire confidence in the Flannerys “Own“ brand at all. Now that Wrays have closed I have no where else to shop, but to be honest, I AM currently looking for another organic supermarket I feel I can trust.Similar opinion? We support you and your efforts
What a shame such a hardworking bunch of individuals get so slammed, for such petty irrelevant matters. Good on you guys for giving the public an option to buy goods that are healthy, ethically produced and toxin free. Clearly the people writing these stupid comments have never run a business in their life and have no idea how much you put on the line AND probably operate on lesser profit margins due to the significantly higher cost of goods... only to have a bunch of whinging nitpickers shred you online. You people should be ashamed of yourse...Read more
