MB 2009 Ford Mondeo Wagon Petrol 2.3L
Great car, some minor cosmetic issues however resolved at the right Ford Dealer, one dealer was very tough and then went to another to get all issues raised corrected. Running at 9.5l per 100km, if a lot of highway use in the low 7 or 8L /100km. 6 speed gearbox a little jerky but mostly all round a good car with full safety pack. 5 Star Ancap.
Reasonable well built a cheap to run even on the petrol model compared to the Commodore wagon same year.
Sometimes little rattle here and there. If Ford dealer gives any trouble with warranty, just go to another dealer, Springwood QLD perhaps.

Brilliant family hatch
Picked up a TDCi hatch titanium. Brilliant little performer and great value for money! Only gripe from partner is lack of reversing camera, but for me the sensors are fine. Sat nav would be nice too but an easy fix. Considering all the other features you get those minor shortcomings are soon forgotten. The keyless entry plus start is infinitely handy as is the massive boot!
Boot, features, economy, styling
Lack of sat nav

2008 Ford Mondeo XR5
From the moment I saw the publicity shots of the Mondeo XR5, I was attracted to it. I leased the car new under a company lease agreement and after 3 years of pleasurable driving, I purchased the car for my own personal use. The outstanding features of this car are the quality European build, a strong turbo charged 2.5L, 5 cylinder Volvo engine, a slick 6 speed manual transmission, excellent steering, precise cornering capabilities and just an all-round pleasure to drive. Not a WRX competitor, but a strong performer that doesn't disappoint when ...Read more
you need to quickly overtake. Fuel consumption is good if you can stop yourself from planting the right foot all the time. The features included with this car are great (front & rear parking sensors, Sony audio system, leather seats, voice recognition, bluetooth, fog lights, colour screen HMI, enormous boot space, body kit, 18" alloy wheels, etc). Normally I would change my car every 3 years, but this vehicle constantly keeps a smile on my face and I never tire of driving it (I particularly like driving long distances in this car). Would not hesitate in recommending this car to anyone who enjoys a quality and affordable sports tourer. I love the driving dynamics, smoothness of the ride and responsiveness of the turbo engine Perhaps the low resale value.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I Loved This Car
I loved this car so much I almost cried when I had to give it up to getting a bigger family car! It is strong, I always felt that if I was in an accident this car would protect me. It reminded me very much of the old Madza 929's (remember them?). Anyway, the steering is wonderful, features outstanding. The stereo is awesome. Given the bluetooth capabilities I used my phone a lot more than in any other car so far and I loved that you have voice activation. But when you have chatty passengers the voice activation can become somewhat of a safety i...Read more
ssue! Given the features of this car the price is very reasonable, and I found the aftercare customer service from the dealership outstanding. I must have been contacted at least 9 times in the year and a half I owned the car just to see how things were going, car wise and service wise. The boot space in this car is massive compared to others, you can fit a pram (stroller) and shopping in their quite easily, but you need to bend quite a bit to reach the back. Likewise when trying to fit in a car seat I had to crawl into the boot to attach the hook (so people with bad backs may need to have car seats fitted for them). Reliable, strong, well worth the money.

This is a fantastic car to drive. It handles so well and has the European stylish appearance. The Zetec model is packed with features including being able to have a different temperature setting on the driver's side to the passengers side. We have the diesel and the fuel consumption is fantastic. The boot space is also large enough to fit a bundle of baby items including prams, etc. The rear and front parking sensors make parking this car so easy to park in small spaces. Highly recommended.
I love how this car handles. It also looks stylish and has a large boot.
Nothing at all.

I have the TDCi hatch in Tango with leather trim and the Bluetooth package. I think I'll be one of those 70 year olds with and ancient old car because I love this baby. Not genuinely quick of the mark but if your in the 2000 rev range climbing past 60km/h and gently push the accelerator a bit more, she's like a slingshot! So very, very torquey. This car gets the looks all the time and funnily enough many people think it's a hatch version of the G6! (Love that grill and headlight combination.) So if you've got around $40k to spend and you like t...Read more
he Mazda 6, take a look especially if you want a little bit of rarity about your pride and joy. (I should look after my washing machine as much do for this little lady!) Looks, economy, boot space, handling, leather, turbo diesel and did I say... looks? Can't afford two of them!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

As someone who has always had six cylinder company sedans since 1972 to now! Being told that company policy is changed to diesel or LPG powered vehicles was a culture shock. I chose the Mondeo Hatchback and after 4 weeks I am more than happy, the performance from the 2 litre turbo diesel engine is extraordinary, good performance and 900km range around town and close to 1200 km on the open road, the features are extensive, heated leather seats, voice activated bluetooth which also covers audio setup & temperature controls 6 stack sony premium so...Read more
und system with 8 speakers, auto lights and wipers are just some of the creature comforts this vehicle offers, It rides and handles extremely well and the interior space is almost line ball with my previous BF Falcon, the boot is huge and the vehicle has large alloy wheels as standard also. Why Ford do not make a concerted effort to make people aware of this car defies logic in my mind as all it would take is a simple test drive to alert people to the benefits this car offers and the engine offers similar torque to Holdens basic V6 engine which combined with the standard 6 speed automatic makes light work of hills, overtaking ETC even with 4 on board Ford you have a winner here and You are letting yourself & the buying public down badly by not promoting it.Similar opinion? Nice upgrade
Brought the 2010 model as a 2nd hand car with 6000km on the clock, filled the car up, and am still running on my first 50L.
Car is not as wide as my old 99 Holden CommonDoor, but has plenty of room in side - highly recommend for a family car if your cant afford a full sized car, or don't like the larger ones.
Nice Big boot and wonderfully designed dash board (if you dont want to use voice control)
Fuel, finishing, climate control
Takes a while to respond when you put you foot down

I have owned this car for a week. I am glad I waited for the MB version as it is cosmetically an improvement and includes more kit. The diesel models now mirror the petrol models, which always annoyed with other brands including Ford. Thankfully they woke up. I have the Zetec version which includes an impressive array of features including the flashy computer system to control audio and everything else. They've still included buttons for frequently used things which is great. Ride and handling are superb as noted by the lack of body roll when c...Read more
ornering. The transmission is smooth and while it doesn't fang it off the line, the line, there's an impressive amount of power on tap. The quality of the plastics is akin to a VW and the seats are among the most comfortable I have experienced. This is one good value package, that Mazda's package comes no where near. Large car, but nimble, excellent diesel engine, audio system, stylish interior, seat comfort, awesome handling, massive boot. Didn't get one sooner.Similar opinion? A dealer let me spend a weekend with this car. I ultimately chose the G6E over this car but it impressed me very much. If I had needed a third car or something slightly smaller than a G6E this would be my first choice.
This car surprised me in how it felt. It had a much more together feel than any Japanese car of the same size had ever felt. Its Diesel engine was very powerful and the car was surprisingly quiet and roomy.
I totally recommend it.
Very solid and big car feel, very large and versatile luggage are with hatch, nicely put together. Very powerful diesel engine, great gearbox, very very nice James Bond styling, very surefooted.
The aircon dials are a bit old fashioned

I have always liked the Mondeo. Ford brought them out in 1996 but pulled out in 2002. I couldn't understand why, at the time, when Holden could sell a lot of Vectra when Ford simply can't get Mondeo to sell.
I was very happy to see them back in Australia in 2007. I recently took delivery of a MB Titanium diesel. It is a very good package with features that are practical rather than something that you won't use.
One of my colleagues look at my car and he said "this is not Ford" and "why would you bother with a BMW?".
Great look inside and ...Read more

Ok car but trading happily now.
Loved the car to start with but felt like it dated quickly. I like Fords in fact I pick up a new Territory on Friday so I cannot knock the vehicles. My Mondeo has served me well. Great on fuel. Will never buy a car without leather again though. Water leaks in through the hatch in heavy rain and I have had a knocking in the exhaust that I have not been able to get sorted in 6 services.
Other than that great car with excellent styling, good performance and a benchmark in its class without doubt. Fords I find get better as you go up the range and I will always go top of range now.
Cheap motoring, lovely styling.
Rattles in chassis never solved.

Obviously as models went mechanicals and the body changed.
Due to work I was always a falcon supporter, great kms and reliability, but I think the Mondeo is similar but surpassing it in design and reliablity in peripherals the the same is in motor design reliability.
When I was a kid we bought holdens because fords were a little more expensive.
Every Weekend I worked on the Holden,HG,HT,HX ect to fix something, but once I saved enough for an old XP falcon Ute I never looked back and bought fords from then on.
Sorry if I am off on a tangent.

It sounds as if you have a problem with your door seals, which is why water is leaking in.
