Rude unhelpful condescending staff
I booked a hotel transfer through a travel agent to pick us up from the hotel and take us to the Gold Coast airport. It was paid for well in advance and l was advised to confirm the transfer 24 hours prior. I rang the number provided and l had the rudest female at the other end of the phone. Was completely useless with no customer service and completely condescending and could tell she just did not want to be at her place of employment. Read moreain there was no reference number to provide and she kept dismissing me each time and refused to assist me further. It was a Sunday and could not get through to my travel agent to get the reference number they should of provided on my travel documents so after 4 hours of trying to get our transfer sorted out l finally managed to get someone to assist me a confirm my pickup date. What a waste of four hours that l could of spent relaxing on my weekend away instead of dealing with a rude incompetent female. People like the person l dealt with is a liability to a business. I will never deal with this company again because of who l spoke to nor would l recommend this company to anyone. Do yourself a favour Gold Coast Shuttle Services and do not employ rude unhelpful condescending non customer service staff in your business as they are a liability to your company.

Perfect Transfer
Booking was easy but a problem occurred on the net when I tried to change the pick up time but I need not have worried as it is easy to change with a phone call or face to face. I was a bit dubious as to whether they would remember to pick me up for the return journey but they were there early waiting to check everyone on who had a booking onto the bus. They have a printed sheet with pickup location and names. I was told that if you are not there at the designated time they will contact you via the phone number you supplied at time of booking. Extremely happy with the service and it is value for money. If on the Gold Coast I will use them as my preferred airport transport.
Upset....
Bought a ticket for my daughter to get to her accomadation. At airport she produced it and was told to get on a bus. 20 mins into a 40 minuite drive she was told to get off the bus as it was the last stop, left on the side of the road at night by herself......... I'm very upset. So you pay $45 dollars to get her to the door safely but instead she has to get an uber to take her the rest of the way.
Convenient and Easy for people who want to focus on holiday fun
We purchased the 7 day GC shuttle family pass and I thought it was great! Not sure if it was cheaper or more expensive (I suspect cheaper) than just purchasing bus tickets as we went but the service was the easiest part of our holiday. It was so easy to just jump on and off a bus whenever we wanted and without having to worry about having cash or change. It was completely hassle free. Read more tad late for the pick up to a theme park and he even rang us (we were already running down the street). The local surfside bus drivers not so helpful with a couple of them sending us on wild goose chases and ending with an hour and a half walk from wrong information and one from missing our stop, but to be fair - Kiwis in Aussie while Bledisloe cup is on? (Kiwi's - ask the people waiting for the bus for info, really helpful as well) On the whole this was a super friendly, convenient and efficient service. On time everytime
Easy transaction driver was on time on both cases to take us and drop us off at Gold Coast airport and our hotel at surfers, stress free and no hassles highly recommended thank you John

Forgot to pick us up
Was told they run every 20 minutes from the airport to hotel, didn't show up for almost an hour. Then I had paid for myself and my partner to be taken and picked up from our hotel to dream world. Only myself, my partner and another couple were taken to DreamWorld (the rest were going to the other parks). When it was time to be picked up, we got there 15 minutes before it was due to depart. We were in the spot the driver told us to wait and we definitely hadn't missed it. They wouldn't even give us a refund and we have to pay $70 for a taxi to our hotel. Excellent service
They were on time, polite and made every effort to collect even late passengers.would use them again. The drivers were helpful and welcomed all on board. On line booking was easy and on the phone was ok but we came at the busiest time so there was a bit of wait on the phone.
Very helpful and easy to use
Reading some other reviews I wonder if we are talking about the same company?! These guys were AMAZING! Very helpful with excellent service - picked us up as we had booked and got us to and from airport and theme parks safely and in a timely manner - very good service that we have rebooked to use on our next holiday too! A+++ and 100% completely recommended!

Agree with others -give this company a miss
Travelled on shuttle from airport last Friday. Took 75 minutes to get to accommodation. Friends who caught public transport got to same accommodation in 45 min. After only one drop off we were transferred from comfortable coach with appropriate luggage storage to a cold, inadequate local bus for the rest of the journey. If it hadn't been for another passenger saving my suitcase on 2 occasions it would have rolled right down to the front of the bus and crashed into the drivers area as driver had not secured it properly. Local bus was cold and uncomfortable. Catching local public transport would have cost us about a 3rd of what we paid. Really wish we hadn't pain for return trip

Just don't!
Just don't waste your money- either hire a car or catch the regular bus service. Unlimited service is a joke. Two trips per day and if you don't book the day before you get no trips! And utterly rude and unhelpful.
Terrible customer service. Particularly from receptionist.
Rude service. Didn't even greet me. Sighed and made weird noises when i asked if i could book my return to the airport. Should have caught the bus...
Worst Service!!!
We have never experienced such rudeness ever before and we have been all over Europe and Asia. It is sad to see that in our own country with a tourist destination like the Gold Coast that the Shuttle services personal are so very rude. Counter staff was very unfriendly, she handed over our tickets and claimed that we did not pre-purchased a 5 day pass even though she had the paperwork in-front of her. Read moreer he refused the help the elderly couple that was in front us is with their luggage, so we assisted them and then the bus driver told the young gentleman behind us that he couldn't understand him because of his accent. This was not the case as I could clearly understand what he was saying and I was half way down the bus. The bus driver drove like a manic. We cancelled all our transfers with them and hired a car as we were simply not prepared to put up with their rudeness whilst we were on holidays. On the day that we were supposed to fly out the shuttle company rang demanding to know where we were as they were waiting for us. I explained that I had cancelled the service days ago. The operator demanded to know who I spoke to, which I honestly could not remember, she was clearly not happy with me so she simply hung up on me! I was gob smacked I could not believe that she had hung up on me. An absolute joke .... DONT EVEN CONSIDER
So I booked the freedom pass for my boyfriend and myself for airport and theme park transfers. When we arrived at the airport the lady behind the counter was beyond rude and was no help at all, she just printed off our tickets and left to go out the back ..... Then the trip from airport to our hotel was fantastic no problems there, however, the next day I had booked online for theme park transfers to Dreamworld, Movie-world and WetnWild for a 9:20am pick up so we would be there before 10am, and was waiting 10minutes prior to the pick up time ...

It turned 9:40 so my boyfriend and I gave them a call and were put on hold for a half an hour listening to the same advertisements over again just for the service to HANG UP ON US BOTH! So when it turned 10:10am we ended up catching the public transport the TX1 & 2 buses which were so much better and cheaper! So we didn't even bother with the return airport transfer as we couldn't afford to take the chance and be late for our flight as we had bags to be checked in..... I would not recommend this service to even the worst of people as it's a waste of money and precious time on your holiday!Absolutely terrible, woeful, pitiful....
Took 2 hrs to get from airport to hotel, 2nd day, didn't show up, third day didn't show up, third night received refund and took Gold Coast Flyer.. Never ever ever again!
Poor service and expensive
The people at the airport service desk are extremely rude and have no interest in providing a helpful service. I found them short when I had enquired about the public transport go card, that is used when travelling on the local bus and tram services. These cards are sold by Gold Coast shuttle, however the staff are obviously aware that their business is a competitor to the local transport system. Read moree adequate although our return transfer to the airport was 20 mins late. Luckily we had allowed plenty of time to make our flight. We also discovered that they charge approx. twice the rate of the local public transport. As an example, their rate for transfers to the theme parks is advertised as $22 for each adult return trip. The local busses will do the same trip for less than $6 each way (about $11.50 return) if you use a go card. These cards can also be used on the tram system and the $10 deposit and any unused credit is fully refundable at the airport at the end of your holiday (see GCS airport desk for refund). GCS needs to pick up their game. They are the first people I saw on arrival and the last on departure. They left a bad impression.Questions & Answers
