Excellent and helpful service
Excellent service at both Joondalup Clearance store from Luca today purchasing a TV and enquiring into dishwashers; and from Rob at Osborne Park store when selecting a fridge last month. Both knowledgable and friendly. Would recommend both.

A racist company should go broke
During coronavirus outbreak, your furniture department had A very unfortunate message sent out to the public regarding to Chinese made products, how about stop selling all Chinese products immediately! As one of your regular customer, I will stop shopping with you from now. OK, you apologized, I will not return in two years then. I think JB HIFI, DAVID JONES, BING LEE will thank you for being a dumb racist!

Refreshing improvement
After being left disappointed from previous service and interactions, particularly from a South West WA regional store, I recently dealt with Cannington store, where the staff were generally helpful and delivery and price were competitive. I will always include them in future business, I think, going forward. They seem keen to win your business and back it up with reasonable delivery service

The origin...
I bought a really nice television at a Harvey Norman Australia store. The best I ever had after a decade of watching everything on a computer monitor. We (I'm married now, hence the good TV) were advised to get a sound bar. All Samsung (this review is going there as well).
After a while, what was odd at first became obvious that was a built-in trait of the product. In many movies and series, at max. volume, we could barely hear the voices, yet my neighbours three doors over could hear the shooting with amazing realism.
So, I asked Harvey Norman...Read more
; what's up with that? It's the 'origin' they said. I went to Samsung and asked them; what's up with that? It's the 'origin' they said. I went to Google Play, and knowing that asking them about my television and sound system was useless, I asked; can I have subtitles in all movies and series? No, because of the 'origin'. Oh man! If I ever find the 'origin'...

Just sales. No interest in after sales service!!
HARVEY NORMAN I bought a $2000 plus laptop and whilst I was contemplating which one the sales staff were highly attentive and sold me extra programs and hardware etc. One week later I returned as I wasn’t familiar with the software and they were too busy to help me. I tried once more and got brushed off with minimal effort.

extended warranty / product care is an absolute waste of money
bought a microsoft laptop, I paid extra for the extended warranty saying the manufactures warranty only covers me for 12 months. The device became faulty after 14 months. Contacted Harvey Norman and they said they'd need the computer for a week to two weeks and that I'd be without it and no loan computer could be supplied. This is unacceptable as I use the computer for work. I called Microsoft and they said I'm still covered under the manufacturers warranty (2 years) and they're sending me a new one free of charge. Extended warranty is a rort and I'm going to ask for a refund on it the absolute scammers

An excellent purchase
On Friday morning 20th December 2022 I purchased a Microsoft Surface Pen - Platinum for $139 so I could do heaps of drawing with it on my Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and I was extremely happy with it. The staff were kind to me and the service was terrific. The same day in the afternoon they refunded me the full amount back onto my card.

Disappointed at Flexirent product sold by Harvey Norman
I was told it will be better in the end to go with Flexirent when I bought my laptop. I would have paid fully at purchase time but sales convinced me that it would be better to go with Flexirent and that I could salary sacrifice it and I would end up paying less in the end.
Well it turns up that I would be paying more.
Also that I could stop the lease after 2 years and need not pay huge amount to own the laptop.
Very disappointed. After all we have bought numerous products from Harvey Norman over the years.

Do not match the prices as they advertise
HR advise they thay beat the price as I went to Auburn store to buy refrigerator and ask for price match, they just refused by making some unacceptable excuses, eventually bought the same refrigerator from Good Guys on better service with better price . Do not buy as they do not match price and misleading the policies

A otherwise good shopping experience marred by bad delivery
Bought a Mitsubishi fridge at the Gepps Cross store in SA. Salesman was very helpful and the shopping experience was pleasant, even managed to get a few hundred dollars off the ticket price. Unfortunately things went downhill onwards. First, delivery could not be arranged until 7 days after order was placed even though I was told there was stock in the Mitsubishi local warehouse when the order was placed. 7 days is too long by any measure, especially if there is local stock. Second, on the date of delivery, I was told by the driver that delive...Read more
ry will happen between 4 and 6 pm on a Friday. I took things out from the old fridge and waited for the final phone call prior to arrival. I received a call at 4:30 and was told by the driver delivery could not happen because he failed to pick up the fridge from the depot of a trucking company because the depot was closed by the time he arrived. I am no insider of the logistics industry but I think unless the driver is a complete newbie, he would have anticipated the early closure of these depots on Friday afternoon and would have made suitable arrangement to avoid this from happening. This is nothing but bad delivery management.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Rubbish quality
Bought an office desk, easy purchase and ok selection. However this is what they deemed acceptable for wood finishings.
Wood filler all over the legs and support beams. The largest one being12x4 cm on a piece that will be seen daily.
So now we have to wait while they investigate the quality and determine if we can return it for an exchange. Cheers Harvey Norman furniture I now have this taking up room until you sort it out (7 working days at least). Here's a solution, let me take it back and give me a new one.

Unbelievable delay boximg day purchase
We went to Harvey Norman Springvale store on Boxing day and bought a dinining table set and a coffee table for our new town house. We thought we could get these items delivered within a week as we see these items were advertised they are available in warehouse. However, after we decided to buy them and deposite our money ($649 i.e. 25%) they have informed us that there are 5 sets of dining table available and they are not sure we could have them delivered first or we have to wait 2-3 weeks later. As we’d like these items we don’t might to get t...Read more
hem delivered a bit late & thought that might due to boxing day rush. However, on 6th January 2020, almost two weeks later we received a call from a sale consultant informing us that the delivery won’t be until 25th January. We’d been a bit surprise but decided to wait for 25th Jan delivery as we don’t want to repeat this buying process again. On 22nd Jan I called the store again to ensure our delivery on 25th as I haven’t heard from them for delivery arrangement as I was suspicious that something is not right as our expected delivery date is coming closer. To our surprise & disappointment, Harvey Norman informed ask that the delivery won’t be untill 25th Feb. We can’t believe they have recorded a note in their system that we are happy to wait until 25th Feb instead of 25th Jan. No one could afford to wait the furniture for two months after the boxing day purchase like that!!! So we had decided to cancel this order and went to Store on Sat 25th. Luckily we’ve seen the same sale man that sold us these items again and he remembers us and recalled our delivery date would be end of January, so he agreed to help us to cancel this order with no penalty. After the cancelation, the store promise me that someone will call me on the next day 26th Jan for a check refund but no one did call me till today 30th Jan, 4 days later then the store promised. So I think I have to call them to chase our refund again today. So we are uoset & don’t understand how the communication & customer service of Harvey Norman, one of our past favourite store in Australia for many years, have been rapidly declined like that. I hope the store would fix this issue to maintain their standard soon.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Cheap but dangerous product
Drawers simply never used to topple over.
Simple physics tells you the frames of these drawers are too lightweight to handle weight of drawers due to cheating out on materials and safety standards.
No children in our household,2 drawers open on one of these poor quality units and the whole thing went over and broke my tibia.
That is dam right poor quality and putting up signs and providing a bracket for customers to do some DIY is almost a admission of the cheap product now being sold yet this is obviously all wrong.
Your safety standards need ...Read more

My order hasn't been delivered after 9 weeks... I am tiered waiting and want to cancel it now. What are my options ?
5 answers
You need to talk to them about the delay and find out if they are waiting on the product to be delivered to them to on deliver to you. They may have it stuck on the dock. You would be entitled to cancel I am sure but then you may have to wait a while for your new order. Talking to them would be the best resolution
Will I get my deposit back? Or they are entitled to deduct 20%
The logical thing to do would be to contact the store asking here wont give you the answer
