Hi Kylee,
There may be an issue with the battery, PCB or charger.
We would recommend taking the machine into your nearest Godfreys store, when the re-open, to be booked in for further inspection.

The Hoover Team

why would the brush stop turning?

Mine did also once and I just took it out and cleaned it. It had hair etc wrapped around the spool. I also noticed if the brush is clogged the machine does not work properly, cutting off all the time so it is important to keep the brush clean. Now I clean mine after each use.

I bought my ultralight vacuum yesterday. Had it on charge overnight. Went to use it but it cut out after 30 seconds. Put it back on charge, but it just does the same thing every time. Any Help?!!!

It may be the spinning brush head. Ours started doing this but worked fine with all the other attachments. We thought maybe it was shorting out, and we cleaned out every piece of hair etc that may stop it turning. It turned out to be dust in the connectors. A can of compressed air saved us putting it in for repair for between 7-14 days.

I'd take it straight back to where you bought it from. Have you got a solid red light when you plug in the charging lead? Have you inadvertently disconnected the battery by pressing the button underneath?

Haven't timed it exactly - never used it till the battery runs out. But you can keep it on charge - we did so accidentally for a week, and there was no problem.

Does it come with brush attachments for doing skirting boards or curtains?

Yes. Has a straight corner attachment and a dusting brush attachment. Both of which can be hung on the vacuum holder.

Note there is an attachment in the current Godfrey's sale advert on TV where they are using it on a sofa. This piece did not come with mine. Just the skirting board piece and another piece with a brush which you could use for curtains or sofas even.

JZ66 take the brush head off of the brush tool by pushing the grey button, you will then magically have the sofa cleaning tool in your hand.

Hi Ellen it's best you email Hoover directly for this information - that way you're getting correct details.

Judging from my bathroom scales, the motor with stick and head weigh between 1 to 2 kg. It certainly feels that light and easy to carry around. That along with having a small power head makes it convenient to vacuum even my stairs as easily as i do the floor.

Does the running time of the unit last the 20mins as stated? And do you know how the suction compares with the Dyson handhelds?

Sorry I have never timed how long one charge lasts, I just use it when I need it and charge it when it is flat. As far as comparison to Dyson, no idea, I have never used one.

I didn't look at the Dysons because they were too expensive for my budget. I haven't timed. mine when using either I'm just happy with it. I would not consider it to be a vaccum for a main house personally just for running over areas quickly. I am becoming more disappointed in the fact that the suction head doesn't swivel. The Dysons may do that? You need to go into stores and trial them yourself if you can.

Any photos or information on the docking/charging setup for this unit?

It's a simple set up. There is a bracket to attach to the wall (I haven't done this yet), and the unit hangs on that with a connection to plug in to a power point. I leave mine on charge all the time because i use it everyday. I've had no problem with the battery life or charging - all straight forward.

Thanks for the info Moshgirl!

Yep like Moshgirl says, simple hanger which also holds the accessory tools, and a plug pack with DC plug that goes into the handle. I also leave mine on charge 24/7 with no issues (and you should NOT have issue these days, with LiOn cell technology and proper charge controller chips). There is a charging LED that changes colour from red to green when it's fully charged again.
