I have found Hoselink to be honest in dealing with customers
Approximately six years ago, when Hoselink were first putting their Auto rewind hose reel onto the market, I purchased a 30 metre one. This failed to do what it promised. The hose easily punctured several times and the retraction didn't work well, so I rang them and without too many questions they sent me a new one at no charge. I believe I've had this one for about five years. I'm pretty idle sometimes and often when I had finished watering, I'd drop the hose end where I finished, which left the hose unwound and in my wife's way, so I purchase...Read more
d a second auto retractable hose so I have one on the North side and one on the South side, which are rewound each time. I changed my hose fittings to Hoselink very early after seeing their design, so everything I use such as my Karcher pressure washer are fitted with Hoselink. I've never had a problem since changing over. I'm quite annoyed with myself, because the design of the fittings are typical innovative plumbing design, so because I served an apprenticeship as a Plumber and earned the highest grades in Plumbing Design and Quantities, I could kick myself for not designing these myself. nths ago I thought about ordering more stand-by fittings for repairs or extensions, but it slipped by. Today I got a nice present a voucher for an upcoming Birthday, so I started filling in the cart with various individual fittings, but then there was an item of Bulk hose fittings, priced at about $95 but I paid about $85 and the pack contains everything I wanted and more. short life
thought product was good at first but at about 3 & half years old it failed - guide jammed & stripped sprocket. Not used a lot & always careful on retraction speed. Hose link offered reduced price for new one but don't see why new one won't also fail after a few years. Now thrown away. Recommend do not buy if you want long life

Hi there, thank you for your question. Sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with your hose reel being hard to pull out.
Due to the hose reels being spring loaded, they do require a fair amount of tension to ensure that the hose retracts fully every time. However this shouldn't cause problems with the system being hard to pull out. If this is a new hose reel then the tension should ease the more you use it.
