These IMBeciles lied about a free $50 for opening an account. Lost my business forever. Bank with the big 4!

Offered a bonus, stole details and didn't honour bonus

published

These IMBeciles had an offer of opening an account and get a $50 bonus. Signed up, gave all my personal details in exchange for bonus, then received an email saying that they would not pay.

They also changed the T&C after I lodged my application. Very annoyed.

Flawless

Very impressive service. Communication was fast and very convenient. David was my rep who made it that easy. Interest rate wise, I have done my own research, I found its very attractive. (Specially when you do not have account keeping fee and all other hidden fees that dealer charge). I was offered same / lower interest rate from my Car dealer. But they could not even match the repayment.

I will highly recommend.

Outstanding

Couldn't say enough praise for this company who helped me with a personal loan. Most of the application was done through emails, David was my rep from the company who was thorough, understanding and an absolute pleasure to deal with. A++++ service, thank you.

Better than average

published

I re-financed my 3 month old car from Nissan Finance (which was terrible!) to IMB. Setting up the loan was a little tedious, but nothing out of the ordinary. As it was no longer brand new, I had to pay a big chunk off to get the loan amount down to a certain percentage, which wasn't ideal. The rate and fees were all very good, and service was reasonable.
I haven't thought about it since, the payments come out and life goes on. I'm just stoked I don't have to deal with Nissan Finance anymore!!!

Poor Service! Invades privacy

published

I was their customer and enquiring about car loan because they have a good interest rate. Turned out that they were asking too much sensitive private questions, forced me to take their work loss policy which way too much and the process was long, the repayments they given also have extra fees that they cant explain. Didn't go well and i went to SCU who has a better rate, excellent service, no hidden fees, and quick process.
Interest rate
Asking too much sensitive questions, repayment quoted much more than normal, forced to take their insurance

IMB Displays Poor Customer Service and Invades Your Privacy

published

Customer service reps took ages to get in touch with us. During the processing of our loan application, very probing questions were asked about our personal medical expenses, repeatedly so, displaying a real air of distrust about the people we were talking with. They will not send out loan documents electronically at any stage, making it very difficult to process an application efficiently. With all the other options out there, would seriously put this lender at the bottom of your list - don't be fooled by the lower interest rate, it's customer service, reliability and trustworthiness that matters.

Interest rate high

published

I was looking for a loan to fund the installation of solar panels. I needed $10,000. I put in an application form online. Eventually, someone rang offering an interest rate of 9.9% with the car beng put up as security. It later turned out that they only do this with cars less than 5 years old. My car was older than that so they couldn't do that interest rate. They could offer me a loan at an interest rate of 12.99%. Their loan had no early exit fees, was over 5 years, and a loan application fee of $125. I actually went with another company: People's Choice Credit Union because of their better interest rate - see my review under Australian Central Savings and Loans.
