Great little outfit
Traveled the Gibb River Road sure a few screws came loose all the better for me to improve the van with better fasteners. Have been to remote places with the Outback Eagle and let me tell you this van has performed quite well.
It has handled the conditions well above my expectations. Spending most of the time on corrugated roads, not asphalt and getting the van dirty like it was meant to be. Keep travelling

Poor quality product and even poorer customer service.
Purchased Penguin Jayco van. Issues included:
- exposed break wires
- fridge that didn’t get cold
- stove that didn’t work
- inability to access water from second tank
- other issues with loose screws and missing covers
Tour of Australia was cut short due to inability to actually use the van. Have been home over a month now and still waiting for parts to fix the stove.

Brilliant customer service
Recently paid a deposit on a new van but on collection it turned out to not be suitable.
The sales and service staff both got involved and really went out of their way to help us.
Great customer service and would highly recommend Jayco Sydney

Halls Jayco Mildura - great ongoing service
Even after purchasing a new Jayco caravan from this dealer (Hall's Jayco, Mildura) some 3 years ago, their on-going service and help with small issues that occur is outstanding. Just recently we had water leaking from our shower onto the floor which was coming from under a cupboard. We were "on the road" interstate at the time so I rang Hall's and sent a picture of the problem. Shortly after Peter Hall called to ask how could assist and as we were 100's of KM's away from another Jayco dealer, Peter talked me through what could be the issue and...Read more
how to fix it. After a second call from Peter, we were able to fix the issue. Just another example of great ON GOING service from this dealer - well done to Peter and the team at Hall's Jayco, Mildura.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Jayco Eagle Outback
I can't speak for the service or experience dealing with Jayco themselves as i hired this 3 and 1/2 month old camper from a camper hire business. I can say that from the 10 nights i hired the Camper it let me down on multiple fronts.
The first issues i had was with the incredibly hard to setup and pack-down front annex. This annex is poorly designed and cheaply built. The end caps on the permanently mounted front support bar was missing or had fallen off with previous renters. This meant that when you clipped on the corner down posts they wo...Read more

I’ve read the scary reviews! I’m hoping I get a good run with mine
I have diverted the windscreen water through my own device . Very worrying that it’s not fixed by the makers.
I will report back . Everything looks ok. I’ve had the reverse camera fixed. The repairer also replaced a fridge 20 amp fuse for the 12 volt fridge.
A fellow traveller has commented that there is always going to be something that needs fixing on any Motorhome. Very true!
We broke the telescopic door stopper, but I found ( online) a pair of ball joints, and it’s fixed.
What is most annoying is the Suburban gas/electric hot water se...Read more

Great if u replace entire plumbing
No pressure at sink. Had to hacksaw pipes off underneath and relay new straight STRAIGHT pipes. Also would not drain out.Better now. Handbasin drains into drawer. Apart from plumbing all good. Also after filling tanks, water goes into cupboard because no silicone.

We'd never buy a Jayco, pure and simple.
We have read all we need to about Jayco, we have been to the caravan show and wear and tear of a pop up camper wasn't good. It was a good test for it there! They are rushed built and no quality. There employment history at Dandenong isn't real good, people start in the morning, back on the bu by lunchtime. The stories on here are real life struggles and stress, that you don't get compensated for! We even saw a new one in the Ballarat Store, the cleaning after build wasn't good, sealant not cleaned up, swarf left on the benches and floor f...Read more
rom drilling holes. They just look good on the outside but are poorly built on closer inspection. there is enough material to read here to scare us away and many other's. jayco don't realise how many people won't buy a Jayco, if they slowed down and did some old fashioned good old business they may sell more. Maybe they don't care and are selling more than they can build. One day it will come to an end.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Leaking new Jayco campervan no interest in reparing
Purchased a new Jayco Swan from Bayswater Jayco December 2103 - van only is used for 2 weeks every summer and kept under cover when not in use. Recently completed a 3 week trip up the east coast only to find all four corners of the van leaked when it rains to the point couch was saturated, Contacted dealer to be informed that roof sealant needs to be replaced every 3 years!!! Tried to book it in for repairs advised earliest was 4 months away and provided contacts of private repairers. Little wonder the word of mouth around every caravan park we visited is that people would never purchase another Jayco!

love our new van
service from Andrew and other sales members was excellent. They were quite Happy for us to browse and put no pressure on us at all. Andrew was more than willing to answer all our questions and show us whatever we wanted to see..We both felt extremely happy with our final decision and felt we were given a great deal. The help we were given when we picked up our van was also fantastic and we would reccomend Jayco to anyone wanting a van. Thanks Andrew Dowsett for your friendly warm and down to earth personality.

Prestige Geelong Jayco ban customers who insist on basic customer when their product fails
2013 bought a jayco eagle camper from Prestige Jayco Geelong. They refused to properly fix roof a few months later and told me to go to thre Melbourne HQ who then forced them to complete the repairs which they deliberated did slow taking some 13 weeks to do all, this time they had my camper. 2016 when to Prestige to have same roof re - Repaired and was told I was banned from Prestige. Didn't know this, was yelled at by their aggressive service manager to leave as lurched towards me in a physically threatening manner. I spoke to the owner...Read more
who said his staff comes first and he also told me to go to the Melbourne HQ. The owner is a liar, arrogant, self centred poor example of a owner of customer service based business. Maybe he would not be so dismissive of his customer service obligations if he had been the the one had built the business from scratch as his Daddy did. It always amazes me how some business spend huge dollars advertising to get new customers but fail to look after their existing customers.. Does not make sense. Clearly I will never be a repeat customer and l warn people off Prestige Geelong Jayco at every opportunity.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very bad customer service.
Have been trying to call Jayco spares on 03 8792 2042 and no answer for two days. You can leave a message but still calls have not been returned. Maybe I should send smoke signals... Very poor customer service.

Caravanland: Poor Service
Caravanland, Beckenham, is
It seems the staff can "talk the talk", and make promises, however incapable to deliver even the simplest of service!
Bought/received our Jayco caravan in February 2016, and within the first couple of weeks some cupboard hinges was repaired, but still not working properly! The awning started peeling and so now even the slightest wind rips it to shreds! embarrassing!!, the showerhead kept on leaking, and most annoying of it all is that the stove top cracked into a million pieces and the only reply from Caravan Ser...Read more
vices staff is that the wrong stove top has been ordered so we have to wait another couple of weeks for the new one to arrive?! Sorry, not acceptable. Caravanland Service Staff haven't the decency to follow-up or inform us with a simple phone call! Our only conclusion now is that we will never ever buy from Caravanland ever again, and the Jayco products is really the insignificant product that Consumers, and other Caravan Sellers have warned us that it was!Similar opinion? Stay away from Jayco Gold Coast!
From a lying salesman, the pre-delivery not being undertaken, a faulty electrical system found at hand over, 6 faults found on the first day, an endless list of faults found after our first trip, serious problem with the pop top roof that could have had a dramatic outcome on the highway, to a non understanding and useless dealer principal, nightmares and your worst experience are guaranteed. We had to involve the Head Office from Melbourne and the SEQ Regional Manager to get something sorted. if you are after a great experience buying a Jayco, I would definitely look at another dealer. Yours in camping!

Jayco Front Wheel Alignment
We bought a used Jayco Mercedes Conquest with 20,000 km on it. Found out the wheel alignment was still at factory settings when the Cab chassis was built in Germany. Neither Jayco nor dealer bothered to do a proper alignment after the motor home was built. The left front tyre was riding on less than 1/3 of the tread. Very unsafe and causes excess tyre wear. Camber bolts had to be fitted to get proper alignment (went to Goodyear as best price). When purchasing any new motorhome make sure as part of the deal that they align the wheels.
Jayco does not accept responsibility and says it should be covered by Mercedes Warranty which of course has nothing to do with warranty as Jayco added the motorhome unit to the cab chassis.

Prestige Jayco Geelong have no idea about customer service and do not take care of Jayco customers. Will never buy another Jayco, no service take your money then forget about you. Plenty know about lack of service at Jayco Geelong.

Just bought a new 2022 Jayco journey in March got it home and noticed all the silicone seal has come away from the door after seeing another of the same model realised our stopper is right next to the door. On opening the door and putting latch on to hold open it is separating door from van. Can't get in till may to have it assessed. So we have a new van that can't be used till who knows when poor workmanship can't see what other problems there may be because we can't take it out as water will get in the split seals. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem or know how they will be able to fix it.?

I have a Jayco 21 foot conquest RV when the aircon is on Water is dripping out the end of the awning the end with the motor I take it this is not right how do I fix
Thanks Trevor

Your aircon has a water outlet pipe on the roof, it is normal that it drips off the roof. Make sure your van is level and if you are concerned have it slightly up on the awning side by driving your wheels onto some bits of timber.
