So tight...

Went to Bali from Syd. The seat so tight can feel each other skin and elbow. Not very comfortable for long flight. The food is ok. Delayed flight. Very friendly staff in the plane. Food is ok bcz i was starving so didnt think too much of the taste.

Dishonesty and theft onboard Jetstar internationsl

I travelled to Auckland using Jetstar with my young son. Upon arrival I realised I had left my duty free onboard. I was told that the cabin crew had located it and to go through security and come back to collect from the baggage desk. I was then told that ‘someone’ had gone back to the plane and claimed it. I am not sure what has happened as Jetstar will not hold their own staff accountable. $300 worth of alcohol and gifts we’re allegedly handed to the wrong person by Jetstar staff. Dishonesty, Poor security and no transparency Jetstar. Shame on you.

Really Terrible Customer service

I recently made a booking for flights from Sydney to Melbourne. When I made the booking my browser autofill changed the name of the second passenger to my name when i updated a phone number. Noticing straight away. I jumped on live chat and they said it would cost $110 to change the name. When I pointed out this was illegal and refused to pay they said they could give me a full refund but not chnage a name. I took the refund and booked tickets on another airline. Great system Jetsar and such great customer service.....

Worst service, always delayed. Don’t do it!!

Two out of two flight delayed, both blamed on weather when everyone knows it’s because they cancel flight and cram the others. Also got charged $60 for being3kg over, so stunned I didn’t event think about taking a couple things out of my suitcase and putting them on or in my pockets. The attitude of their staff disgusting, always attitude. Never fly with them again

Flight was delayed... delayed... delayed... Then cancelled after 10 hours of waiting with a 2 year old in an airport! The excuses were exactly that - excuses!
Do not book with this airline - absolutely useless!

Flight from Gold coast to Sydney was one and half hour late and I missed my connection flight to Orange. The service desk manager was horrible and rude blaming me for not taking a connection flight after 3 hours not accepting their mistake of delaying their flight for 90 minutes. Never travel and recommend jetstar for anyone.

They charge you unreasonable amount for few kilos extra hand baggage. That's how they run their business by ripping off people. Be mindful to book any other airline with 30 bucks extra rather this nastiest airline.

Good and bad

We have had both good and bad experiences with Jetstar. We have flown with them both domestic and international. The seating is very small and sometimes the staff can we quite short. The last experience was a little difficult - the plane was cancelled on the tarmac. The plane staff were awesome but the service desk staff were very poor.

Poor customer service

Our flight to Hawaii was cancelled after making us wait 6 hours in the airport before they had guts to inform us of what was really going on. They kept making different excuses for the delay. They finally told us at 10.30 pm that our 4.30 pm flight was cancelled due to technical issues. We then had to organise accommodation for the night . They told us we would be reimbursed for the cost and when we went to claim were told we were only entitled to $150. Where can you find a room In Melbourne late Friday night for $150, shocking customer experience . Will never fly with them again !!! Disgraced

It’s not the $65 ‘excess’ baggage racket for more than 7kg that they run at the gate to claw in max revenue (low business practice but what do you expect), it’s not the massive delays, it’s not even the 20 passengers standing on the tarmac in pelting rain for 10 minutes - it’s the absolute rudeness and surly attitude of the staff. I mean, I get that being a hostie at Jetstar probably isn’t everything you wanted from life, but don’t take it out on the passengers.

Flew from Perth to Launceston, had to collect bags in Melbourne and cart them around until we could check in. Coming back from Launceston, arrived in Melbourne, had to collect all bags again, needed a trolley. Had to wait 2 hours downstairs before being able to check that baggage in again for next flight to Perth. I think for the money we paid for these flights for 4 adults return the luggage should be able to be held and not inconvenience everyone that would prefer to walk around the main area, look at shops and have some decent food options. On another note, the $10 toasted sandwiches on the flights were overpriced, hard as a rock and tasted terrible.

Musicians + Chef do not fly JETSTAR

If you are a musician or a chef NEVER FLY JETSTAR! Paid oversize fee for my guitar for both ways $50 @ $25 each way coming back I paid $30 to change my checked luggage flight to 30 kg because of my tools..the fee for oversize luggage became null n void and I had to pay another $25 for my guitar. This is extortion of the finest execution..Pay the extra $20 - $100 for another airline...you can only spend your money once..

Unbelievably bad

At the gate in Hobart airport they are weighing carry on. The flight was not full so obviously this is not about safety. The credit card machine next to the scale said it all. They wanted to charge me $65.00 for being one kilo over between the 2 of us so 500gms over each. Seriously! Finally convinced them that this was unreasonable which was something I guess. Maybe it was the look on my face which clearly indicated they had permanently lost me as a customer. As the flight started boarding we noticed that all the late comers did not get weighed at all. Message here...Turn up late. Complete joke!

Can't complain about customer service: there is none

I was charged twice for a ticket. The first time was via an agent and Jetstar did not acknowledge it. The second time I paid directly. The problem is: I have been trying to sort this out for two months and so far nothing significant has transpired. The chat line is seriously useless: don't even try it. They demand all the detail and then don't read it. When they read it they don't understand it. It's like talking to a pre-schooler. Maybe it is a pre-schooler. Honestly, best to avoid this airline altogether.

Horrible experience and incompetent staff. On my international flight I was struck and injured by falling luggage. They refused any assistance. They denied seeing the incident and didn't even log it!

Booked my husband for a flight from Melbourne to Adelaide because he had to be to early morning meeting. Every time (5+) we have flown this airline they have been delayed so we hoped that would not happen today for his meeting. It did and now he is arrived 2 hours late and late for meeting...this airline is absolutely unreliable and the cost savings (though they nickle and some you for everything and it adds up) is not worth it....proven to us again why we do not fly with Jetstar

Why on earth can’t you help your customers and if they’re late for just 1 minute for Check-in why can’t you just help!!!! I had a family emergency and on top of that you charge me MORE money to get on a flight the next day! You hide behind your terms and conditions. That amount of money can make our break a person Jetstar. As a company you have no ethical boundaries. Air NZ NEVER would have done that!!!!!
