Terrible
Kia Rio Blown engine happen on aussie day coming back from coast lost power no indicator lights, we pulled over, car cut out, checked engine there was no oil sat on the road for 5 hours couldn’t get a tow truck.
National Capital motors Canberra charged us $200 to tell us the engine is blow kia said no will not fix it (just out of warranty) as when you were ment to get a 60000 service you got it done at 62000 that was the only reason they could come up with. I said if they fix it we will buy a brand new Kia Rondo $28000 they said no, ill never buy kia again lost my trust. :(
Cheap to run and to buy

Bad
For the same price by a better brand that is a bit older. Don't get sucked in by all the gadets, there is just more to go wrong.
They sure are cheap. With lots of features as standard (power windows, CD, etc.)
Very poor build quality. Horrible to drive.

This is a question for the experts. I suggest you refer this question to Kia, they should be able to investigate the issue for you.

Take to mechanic and have the clutch and gearbox checked out.
Our Rio is a 2012 and it's an automatic, but Kia's do have a reputation for weak manual gearboxes, even the new ones have problems with the gearbox, advise is take it to a gearbox specialist, hope it does not cost you to much.
