Texture of the colourant!
I have been using this colour for many years and used to be fine, but my last 4-5 colours have not mixed up properly. The paste seems off! Not happy with the quality of the products quality!
Never had a problem with the colour shade though!
Purchased in April 2021.

Coconut catastrophe
I have used this product for many years and wonder why add the coconut scent to the rinse. It is so overpowering I will be buying any of the old product I can find, then switching brands

Love it!
I dyed my hair from natural blonde to this “darkest brown”.
I had never died my hair before and I was so impressed, my hair looked healthier than my natural state and was so shiny and soft, the creme conditioner was beautiful, thick and glossy, and smells AMAZING! I wish I could buy the creme gloss just to use as my regular conditioner!

Very dark
My hair had a natural cool brown tone but was faded and I thought this shade would make a nice contrast with my eyes but instead of dark brown its almost black and doesn't come out. I don't know what the 28 washes mean, maybe if i wash it 28 times it will look even more horrible than it is, That's my last try with L’ Oreal, next stop - beauty salon for highlights.

Beware ... this turned my hair a horrible colour of black. Looked so fake
My natural colour of hair is a beautiful chestnut brown colour. I have never died it and it has always been in excellent condition. I don't even use a hairdryer so as not to heat my hair and maybe damage it. Anyway I saw a few strands of silver coming through so bought this darkest brown colour ... the shock I got when I looked in the mirror. A horrible black and it makes me look ten years older. Have washed my hair about ten times so far and it hasn't faded one bit. DO NOT BUY DARK COLOURS UNLESS YOU HAVE A SKIN TONE THAT SUITS THEM... I am only hoping that it will go. The thought of looking like this until it all grows out, which will take over a year, is a nightmare to say the least.

Does not cover greys and is definitely not dark brown!
I usually use Nice n'Easy natural darkest brown as for me, it gives the darkest brown tone before black and covers my greys perfectly. Couldn't get it recently and so tried this one. Lovely consistency, went on really well and it smelled lovely but the results were terrible. It was barely a mid brown, never mind darkest brown and did not cover greys well at all. Would not use again.

Not brown....black!!!!
I wish I read the reviews first. I have very dark brown hair with some grey at temples. I chose ‘darkest brown’ L’Oréal colour, followed the instructions exactly, which resulted in black hair, which is definitely not dark brown and looks very harsh. I will probably switch to something else now.

Incredible colour with a glossy result!
My hair is naturally light-medium brown with a slight remainder of blonde on the ends and I have been getting semi-permanent dark brown dye in my hair for about a year. My hair fades to a reddish medium brown when it is ready for a fresh semi and the casting creme gloss has been an absolute life saver! It is gentle on my hair, leaves it with a glossy finish and soft feel and provides a shine that my natural brown hair does not have. It is extremely easy to apply and by simply massaging the dye evenly through the hair I achieved the same result ...Read more
as I have previously at the hairdressers for the past year. The darkest brown 300 shade came up with a gorgeous cool toned brown, which was exactly what I wanted, with added depth and shine to the hair. If you want to save hundreds of dollars and not make any permanent decisions/be gentle on your hair, the casting creme gloss will give you that exact result.Similar opinion? Glossy
I've been coloring my hair with L'Oréal for almost 30 years... :-/
And 3 months ago I decided to try using their Creme Gloss line in darkest brown, in an effort to help my long somewhat dull colored hair.
L'Oréal preference was what I used all those years.
Wow was I impressed with this Semi Permanent! I guess part of me was expecting the rats nest that Hem a gave me in exchange for a more natural color lol! I
It colored my silver hairs well. It did not give me lighter roots- hot roots- and holy crap in the glossy hair dept. ! I was really...Read more

It didn't cover my gray hair
My hair is naturally black, but I have 30% of gray hair. Instead of 25 minutes as instructed, I kept the color for 35 minutes. The result was a very nice shade of brown color, however my gray hair wasn't 100% covered. The gray turned to be in lighter shades of brown and therefore visible. I will never use this product again.

Will never use it again
Colour does not last 28 washings as written on box. It will last barely one month with a maximum of 8 washings in 1 month. New packaged Conditioner is lousy, very thick and leaves the hair dry, like wires. L'Oreal should try this hair colour on their hair before selling it so they can see what people are talking about. I still have 2 unused boxes and will discard them. Time to try another brand.

i had belyage done at the saloon and my natural hair is dark brown but my hair dose not hold lighter belyage for long so they turned very orange and brassy then I dyed my hair using dark brown creme loreal colour and its turned out darker than my natural hair almost like black and now i am thinking of dying it to caramel or light caramel using the creme loreal again would it work at all!!?

If your hair is almost black there is no way a light colour will work over that, how can it... unless you bleach. Remove the black 1st & start over. If you keep dying over & over you'll just have a mess.

Hi I have died my hair this morning but It didn't work. I can still see my grey hair.
I felt like its just waste of money. Could anyone help why this has happened to me?

I'd guess, you didn't leave it on long enough, maybe? or you choose to light of a colour. I have had no problems covering all my greys with this, that's the biggest reason I used this product. I left it on for 10 minutes longer, as that's what instructions stated, & it worked well.

that is natural but it is not my lovely chestnut brown natural colour. I got it cut short yesterday to get rid of the horrid unnatural black wig like colour. I look better already with about six inches of the horrid colour chopped off.
