I have a Laurastar lift and the power light continues to flash non stop and iron does not provide steam when I press the steam button. It will eventually switch off.

My Laura Star will only let me iron 4 to 5 pieces of clothing and then automatically shuts off, without warning and whilst in use. It always has about half a tank of water left and is working perfectly until it shuts down. What can I do to stop this from happening? It is very frustrating.

can i fill this while hot? Or must the iron cool all the way down before filling with water again, the tank is built in and does not come off, it is a rather old machine.

Hi betty not sure which appliance you have, models with a removable water tank can be refilled during use, those with a pressure cap cannot be refilled during use. Please call customer support on 1800 999 910

Hi Simon, the Lift does not have a retractable power lead, it wraps around the base of the iron inside the feet.

We have had 2 Laurastarr systems,one sent back after a couple of years for service because it was tripping our circuit. A new system was purchased and now after a couple yearsihas the same problem. Any ideas?

Hi Ian, haven’t ever had a real problem. My daughters had a little water leak but was fixed promptly under warranty.
My husband who is an electrician, says that it may be caused by a buildup of fluff in the element and you should get some advice from LS, they would need to do a repair for you

I purchased my LauraStar Lift last year. It has been my BEST friend since the day I brought it home. The last time I turned it on, it heated up and steam worked beautifully. When auto shut-off shut it off, I have never been able to turn it on again. The button does not light for even a second. I’ve searched my book for clues, but find nothing. What should I check? I have a white one, that I assume is the standard model. The box has no specific model # on it.

My Laurastar Magic S4 has been working like a dream until this morning for some reason there is no steam from the iron when I press button.I'm confused as to why all of a sudden my unit has stopped working.Is it some thing simple I'm missing?

I dont have the s4, but U can check these.
1/is it on? :)
2/ water in the tank?
If these above are ok then your boiler is finished .

Hi. We bought a lift ex demo at Christmas ane are having issues. The boiler keeps making notice and won't stop pumping. After about five mins it stops then there is a low hum coming from it and the red light comes on saying the water tank isn't fitted properly. I've taken the tank out several times and the light still stays on. Eventually the unit shuts down.

Thks for reading my non pro review.
Did you install filter properly?
did You put the tank in properly?
If pump can’t draw water to tank it will shut down for protection . I would look at these 2 carefully before contact manufacture.

Hi second Laurastar and loved it until filter needed replacing - followed instructions and now it won’t work - no steam comes out and start button flashing continually - I can’t use it with three males work shirts this is a real problem to me can anyone help ?

The plastic casing around the iron plate has cracked. This unit has NEVER been dropped, unless by the techs who replaced the electrics. In my opinion, it's not fit for purpose. A unit this costly has no business falling apart. I have no kids in the house, so it could not have happened without my knowing. I loved the LS customer service girls, but the repairers were less than intelligent, and didn't listen to what I said. Having said that, they replaced the electrics, so it still works.
Has anyone else had the casing crack?
It's rubbish, made cheap and nasty, good idea, bad design. Great when it works or stays intact. Cord cover furs up after the first couple of uses. Cheap and nasty materials.

Yes it has, Dino... I put that in the comments on my review, I believe. Thanks so much. I put this question ages ago, as I wanted to know if the same thing happened to anyone else.The unit was fixed, and several parts replaced - the customer service is great. I still don't think the unit is that great - it tends to dribble water now. I'm tired of the constant issues, understandably. I love the unit, but for that price, I think it should just work. It's a good idea, but poorly executed, if that makes sense? Cheaper manufacture makes for so many little (and big!) issues.
It has saved me so much time, but cost me time, as well. I'm getting an industrial one next time.
Thanks for following up, so kind of you.
The service team is sooo good, pity they aren't backed by a great product.

Hi Our Laurastar is brilliant. However we have noticed the cover of the iron has warped and cracked. The damage is exactly the same on the right and left side of the iron. Can the iron be replaced?

Hi Jennifer, yes it sounds like your LIFT needs the upgraded components, the thermostat seems to be getting too hot hence the plastic cracking. This will be covered under manufacturer warranty. Please call 1800 999 910 for your nearest service centre. regards Dino MD
