Great TV if not a little pricey
While the OLED range is still pretty expensive they are definately worth the cost if you are looking for a long term upgrade.
Picture quality is perfect aswell as blacks and colours, no iffy backlight is definitely welcome. 4K content looks fantastic and there is finally enough content out there to warrant a UHD setup.
Games look great on it although HDR can take some tweaking. New generation consoles will certainly take advantage of the technology.
My only gripe was the mounting holes are at the very bottom of the TV so you might have...Read more
to adjust any existing setup or have the TV sitting really high up. The smart TV side of things is also snappy and very easy to use. Netflix at the touch of the button on the remote comes in handy as Netflix looks and runs great on this TV!!

Truely immersive experience!!!
The picture quality is one of the best; but lacks in sound. However, once you have an AV receiver connected Bro! It's a truly immersive experience. Worth it when on NBN>25mbps. Good storage for apps, and plenty of HDMI ports + USB and component ports. I would sure recommend this. If you can wait, the prices will come down sure.

It was Fantastic!!! But not now!!!
Edit:
Sadly after only 14 months of use, my beloved OLED suffered from terrible (permanent) Screen Burn. Plus a few other screen issues. NETFLIX LOGO!!! uuggghhh, and ABC Kids.
Lucky for product care - I received a credit. And purchased a Samsung QLED. Yes, the picture is not as good, BUT there is NO screen burn. I lucked out and got a fairly good panel with little to no Banding so pretty happy. ONLY down falls is new top of the range Samsung tv does not support most Dolby sound files and a couple of video files. Disappointing for a $5000 flag...Read more
ship tv. After a bad experience with a previous LG tv I was apprehensive about spending sooo much on an OLED... well all that disappeared the second I turned it on. FANTASTIC is all I can say about this TV. This OLED replaced a 1yr old Panasonic LED 4K Smart TV that suffered numerous problems, but one of the biggest was light bleed from the edge lit LEDs so OLED was the only solution for eliminating all light bleed. Although the colour is not as bright and vibrant as my previous TV or the Samsung QLED, it is still awesome and unless you sit them side by side, there is no telling the difference. And the inclusion of Dolby Vision on Netflix brings a whole new colour experience that I have never had before. I had read that the inbuilt speakers in this C7 Model were below par and a sound bar was needed. Let me tell you that the sound is fantastic for the everyday person. Loud, clear and no sound bar is needed even while watching movies. I use my surround every now and then just to pump up the bass during a good movie, but that’s on a rare occasion. I am an avid gamer and my PS4 Pro on this TV with game mode is fantastic, no tweaking needed, just plug and play. OLED also eliminates a larger amount of colour banding, but sadly it is still there.. so doesn’t quite live up to my old plasma, but still it is A LOT less noticeable than other LEDs on the market. I have this TV paired with a Fetch box and Samsung 4k Bluray player and both look fantastic. But be warned SD free to air content looks absolutely atrocious - HD channels are great ... this is not the TVs fault, but don’t expect its up-scaler to fix a terrible TV signal. I have to admit the HD channels look a bit softer than my previous TV .. but after a slight tweak and 4 weeks of viewing - it looks tremendous! The wifi hasn’t lost the signal once, and the apps are almost instantaneous. The magic remote is something to get use to, but having previous experience with one, I have no problems with it at all. And the WEB OS is great and easy to use - with multiple ways to access inputs including hard drives connected to my wifi router. The added screen savers to stop image retention are a bonus and my kids love the fireworks. ... People who are worrying about image retention please stop .... there is nothing to worry about. My only issue is the price.... and Im sure you get what you pay for, but I was annoyed to find that only 2 weeks after I purchased it, it dropped $1000 in price during the 1/2 yearly sale. Was a bit hurtful. But still overall - If you are still sitting on the fence about picking up an OLED - All I can say is GO FOR IT!!!

Sound
Re started dvd player and magically the gren line is gone. Did i mention that the sound is terrible as well. Probably cause the speakers are so small. But still syncing is not possible properly. Buy at your own risk and if you have any issues contact LG. Would be better if we bought made in Australia goods.

A fantastic TV, but know that it's very thin (and delicate)
Ok, so giving something I recently bought 5 stars may sound like confirmation bias.... but the truth is that I and my partner were so impressed by the image quality, that we decided to "up" our budget for this TV. By "Up" I mean MORE THAN DOUBLE!
Some of you might be wondering, "What's so special about this TV?" well lets just say that comparing it with most LCD, QLED, and other offerings.... there was no real comparison to OLED technology. Is it the best for everything?... probably not. But for the darkest blacks, and the brightest whites, ...Read more
and some seriously amazing colours, OLED really is the best. However, there have been some reports about ghosting, and "burned in" images over a long period of time, so if your TV is on a LOT with lots of static icons, game menus, or other such non-changing elements, then perhaps OLED is not for you. Initially, we liked the Panasonic OLED, but upon discovering that ALL OLED panels in any brand of TV is made by LG, we decided to go with the LG, simply because they'd be unlikely to give their best panels to their competition, and the price for the LG was lower by hundreds of dollars. Now shopping for this TV was an interesting experience. We wanted to see the absolute best this TV could offer, so we were hoping to see 4K, HDR (High dynamic range) footage in stores. But we were disappointed at several shops since they weren't showing that, and either could not, or would not demonstrate 4K content (Seriously?!). Now let me just say that I don't watch TV anymore. Ever. I have a high-end home theatre, and I want to make the most of it, so low-resolution, poorly received TV signal was always going to be a bit of a let down by comparison. Of course, I stream things (and this TV does that pretty well if you've got lots of bandwidth on your Internet plan) but if you watch free-to-air TV only, then this TV is essentially wasted.Similar opinion? Love it
Picture quality- amazing, crisp. used the blu-ray "Planet Earth" to get the full experience, and it was amazing
Built-in speakers- not so great. We have a bose sound system (sound bar, and bass) attached
HDMI ports- it seems to have enough for us.
The unit itself is good, but we had to return the first one we bought because it had screen burn-in. The first one was a display from the store. The new one has been fine, except it does switch off sometimes randomly. It was doing it a lot when we had the Xbox connected. Not too much for us to get worried about, so we have not looked into it.
The apps seem to load fast, but we do have fast internet connected.

Amazing picture but has issues
Overall it is an amazing TV and the picture is the best out there by far. I did ALOT of research and finally found the LG OLED to be the best available. It is super thin so looks great when wall mounted. There are plenty of inputs and the remote is really cool with an automatic cursor.
I have had some trouble when connecting it to an external sound source via HDMI. Using the installed Netflix app and also the Dolby app (awesome to see the TV true potential and quality) the audio drops out every few seconds making it impossible to use.
Currently dealing with LG to get the problem fixed but they aren't very helpful.
Overall the TV itself is amazing and if you don't experience my issue than you will be forever happy!

Specs are same as OLED55B7T
Great Tv, the B7 version is internally identical to C7 except for B7 is silver trim & silver stand- at $500 less the B7 is great value. Replaces my Samsung LCD. The picture quality for TV & movies is incredible. Absolutely stunning life like picture. OLED is not recommended for static use such as all day PC displays or games as burn in issues occur. For mixed use it absolutely nails picture quality / detail with VIEWING angle.
Appears LG is updating firmware / software with nice improvements vs samsung which very reluctantly updated anything ...Read more

Fantastic, best telly ever had
My previous LED television I had owned for approximately 7 years so it was time for an upgrade. My dad had bought an LG OLED and I was reluctant to go away from Samsung but I couldn't be happier. The picture quality is incredible. We also had a private technician come to our house and calibrate the picture and it now looks even better. The TV also looks really nice, it's very thin and sleek looking. It can be difficult to manoeuvre so definitely keep the box and packing if you need to move house. The sound is also really good. We have surround sound so we don't usually use the tv speakers, however if you do they are pretty good for the standard built in speakers. Would definitely recommend this telly to anyone who can afford the price tag.

One thing that most TV do but this one doesn't is that The does not burn it's couler when you leave it on for a very long time and that is why i think The Oled TV is one of the best looking tv out there

The gold standard in televisions, PERIOD
No-one does a better TV in 2017, than an LG OLED. It's just fact, and so many naysayers and ulterior brand fanboys hate to admit it, but unbiased journalists agree.
There are NO burn-in issues, apart from those pushing their sets with super hi lighting and calibration, or those turning off at the power point. The panel has software that cleans the screen when the TV is off, and have not had a single issue. Also looking to buy a W7 when the prices come down a little. LG OLED tech is just phenomenal.

Very Very Impressive TV
Did a lot of research before buying this TV and I can positively say that this TV exceeded all my expectations.
Flawless and easy setup, picks up media servers, phones, PC and so on with no fuss. Stunning picture indeed, plenty of ports, easy to use software, useful remote once you get used to the "magic remote".
Can't fault it apart from the price. Purchased with LG SJ8 soundbar, a good combination indeed.

Phenomenal picture quality
Phenomenal picture quality after calibrating the TV with Xbox One's TV calibration feature, which actually lowers the black/bright contrast to more true-to-life eye pleasing levels. TV's dynamic contrast tends to display dark gray as deep black, which creates extreme, crisp OLED contrast without calibration but that will not be an issue for most users. Built in speakers are surprisingly good for a thin flat TV and reproduces Dolby Atmos to an extent, but a proper home theatre system is recommended to unleash the full potential. Tons of very use...Read more
ful features and easy to use. LG Magic remote is the best and using it for years. Adequate safety features included to avoid unintentional OLED image burn-in. Content is the key here to enjoy this TV.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Just the best!....
Picture quality is incredible. Heaps of adjustable options for picture preferences. Takes a while learning to navigate your way around but if you get stuck, easy to get out of. Bought the optional matching soundbar with sub and glad that we did first up. TV has 3 x HDMI ports along with 1 x USB. Soundbar connected via fibre-optic cable supplied. Easy to set up, just follow the instructions on the screen. As far as a Smart TV, it has everything that we want, all selectable from one simple menu. Early days but so far...very impressed!

Great picture, user friendly menu. Love it!
Purchased the OLED65C7T from the Good Guys in June and set it up ourselves. Since then it hasn't missed a beat! The picture quality and colour are great and the menu is easy to navigate. We have it connected to our Humax tuner so that we can record our favourite shows but if we miss them we can easily access iView, SBS, and Netflix apps thorough this smart TV. Although some of the apps from other stations are not directly available we can also access these on the TV through the internet or via Chromecast. The sound is connected to our external speakers but we can also play though the TV if necessary. We highly recommend this smart TV. The Good Guys were also great to deal with and had the most competitive price at the time of purchase.

Very satisfied with the picture quality and was the right size tv for the area we have put it in. I can't believe how the pictures stand out. Colour and clarity are great. Sound is great as well.
Have used it for both watching tv and gaming and I can honestly say I have not regretted this purchase

Very disappointed so far
Decided on reviews to purchase this - didn't look at any others - went straight to my local Good Guys to purchase it. Paid extra to have it installed and set up. Worked fine - great picture quality watching 4K videos. Until......24 hours later.... Suddenly any content other than free to air tv stations became heavily pixelated. An hour later when turning the tv off and on again (as suggested by LG online support, it took ages to restart and when it did all you could see was green stripes. Now the free to air tv doesn't even come on. It's a s...Read more
imple set up - table top, with just the ethernet cable and aerial cable coming into the tv. There is no detailed manual to try and troubleshoot anything. Nothing available online either. Will be taking this up with the retailer when they're open, but this should not be happening.4 comments

like I should have done first up) - Helpful and understanding manager there offered to get new tv out and installed ASAP. This was a Thursday, so by Monday morning we had a replacement tv delivered, installed and working! And I have faith in this LG OLED tv - when it was working it was fantastic - amazing clarity - so my two star review is really for the Concierge service, not the TV! Moral of the story - Good Guys store and staff are great - but the so called Concierge service is failing all over the place - major problems with their systems, and possibly even legal issues with their failure in providing customers with their loyalty vouchers that they're entitled to. I hope The Good Guys do something soon about this part of their business!5 months later our LG OLED55C7T tv has had no problems, is easy to use, and has crystal clear beautiful picture. So our first one must have just been a lemon. So I'd give a 5 Star review for the TV, but still 2 Star for the 'Concierge Service'!

Wow, what a great TV!
This is an amazing television which lives up to its great reviews. Easy to set up out of the box, easy to get going, fast to change channels, plenty of smart TV features, wireless connection and more. My only quibble is that the operating manual doesn't cover all the functions of the remote and features of the TV so it takes some exploring to discover just how impressive the TV is.
The picture is clear and bright with deep blacks. There are numerous picture setting options to customise the display for different types of viewing. I've had th...Read more
e TV for 1 week and am absolutely happy with it. Even its sound is pretty good although I may get a sound system to enhance the sound in the future. This TV replaces a 9 year old 40" LCD and the larger 55" screen with its thin bezel provide a lot more display area. I can appreciate why someone would want an even bigger screen given the 55" picture is much more immersive than that of a 40" screen but I'm finding the 55" screen more than adequate. The remote is a delight to use especially the pointer/cursor that can be turned on/off. You move the cursor on the screen just by pointing and moving the remote. When the cursor is where you want it to be just click enter to engage the desired operation. Long live OLED.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Amazing and Awesome
This TV is amazing, it is smooth and very pleasing on the eye. I must say the installation of it was a bit awkward, but then again this was because of the size
I recommend this TV to anyone, I was always dissapointed in the washed out nature of LCD, OLED just changes all that!

Good morning
i have a small white spot on the top upper left of the screen. it is there during local tv programs. netflix, foxtel, stan etc. Is this pixel that is not functioning properly? Or has a pixel died?It is not there when the TV is off
1 answer
It sounds like a dead pixel. If you have warranty left contact the place of purchase or if extended warranty contact them to have it checked/replaced/repaired. I wholly advise you to ask for either a store credit to get a different brand of TV. If they won't do that for you tell them you want a replacement. Don't allow them to fix it, doubt they would anyway as a dead pixel means a new screen which is more costly than a TV.

Not very impressed with how this is being handled by The Good Guys "Concierge Gold Service Extras" organization. They admit the TV is probably faulty, and 24 hours later I have still not heard when anyone is coming to assess it.
