Great Experience
From start to finish Lube Mobile were great. Francis the mechanic was up front, honest and tenacious in resolving the issues with my car and to be honest I don't think my car has run this well in 5 years. Highly recommend this company that seems to be putting customer service and quality first.

Excellent Service (literally)
Lube mobile have serviced both my car and my wife's car. I cannot fault the quality of their work and the price compared to the manufacturer service is so much better value for money.

Totally Professional and Friendly Service
I honestly couldn't ask for a better service. From the time I made the phone booking to the arrival and completion of the repair by mechanic, Ben. Everything went smoothly and hassle-free. My first time experience with Lube Mobile was a great one!

Good Service
Mechanic was prompt, courteous, and kept me informed as to items requiring attention as found during service. Kept me informed with price adjustment if required and my preference as to agreement to go ahead. The teamwork with other mechanics that called was very good. Would recommend them on that basis.
Kevin.

Perfect service provided
Have used Lube Mobile twice now for services. It’s a stress free service and they service the vehicle at home and no stress of dropping and collecting car and I like the very fact that it’s transparent - you see what you get for your money.

Punctual, efficient, friendly and good at their job
I've used Rob as my mechanic for nearly 4 years. He always finds the time, gets my car sorted and explains what he's doing along the way. Being a young female in a wheelchair it's refreshing to be treated as an equal and to have the confidence that you're not being ripped off. Thanks Rob!

Over priced
Booked an appointment Sam arrived at agreed time. Found the trouble-leaking coolant bottle also needed new coolant.
BUT then was quoted $650 - checked it out only $130 in parts from REPCO - so $510 was the profit margin.
I thought Ned Kelly was dead - BUT no he runs Lube Mobile.

Professional and helpful
I have not previously used a mobile mechanic, I was not sure they would be as efficient or professional as a service centre. After the initial service to change a timing belt- a huge job on a 4WD- I was very impressed. They are very efficient and capable and what I found excellent was I was actually able to seem them in action and ask questions if I had concerns.
My previous service station mechanic, while once reliable, had begun taking short cut repairs with my car including fixing leads with tape rather than replacing, and still charging me...Read more
full rates. These shortcut have lead to other issues which Lube Mobile were about to identify and fix. The fact you can meet your mechanic and see them work makes them more professional and accountable. Highly recommend.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Unqualified Mechanic Attempted a Job
The mechanic told me a "modern car" on standby (ignition key off and removed, lights, radio off) is supposed to draw "more than 1 Amp from the battery". Apparently, "this is normal"! The actual nominal value for this vehicle is "less than 0.030 A". Other similar statements were made.
At my request, the mechanic was unable to locate the relevant information in his laptop. Apparently no service manual and no VW wiring diagram was available. The mechanic does not know how to use a multimeter tool beyond the basic battery load test.
The mechanic...Read more
boasted "9 years repair experience". Regarding his capability to do mechanical maintenance (brakes, belts, oil change etc.) I have no comments - did not see it in action. But clearly, the mechanic has little or no training about the car electrical systems apart of replacing old batteries, light bulbs and such. There were no spare battery or necessary electrical supplies in the mechanic's truck either. Obviously a wrong person for the job. I did not allow this mechanic to proceed on the vehicle. The mechanic left and later emailed me a bill with a call-out charge crap a written insults (!) in the comment section. The Lube manager has agreed to withdraw the call-out charges, but still, I've lost half a day. The company should have better personnel training.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Referring to Fair Trading
Charged top dollar and for unnecessary repairs when requesting a road worthy certificate. I've had too many bad experiences with Lube Mobile but had to use them when caught on the hop in emergency situations. I'll never allow this to happen again. I'm also pretty sure one mechanic was doing the work on the side as he requested - after I paid over $400 for parts in cash, $350 to install some parts that took about one hour. No receipt. So referring this to Dept Fair Trading as I won't be ripped off by mechanics. Also BEWARE: if you need a roadwo...Read more
rthy certificate Lube Mobile DO NOT do this themselves but farm it out to someone else which is a problem as you cannot be sure that certificate is automatically sent to the RTA. Do NOT leave it to the last minute with this crowd in a situation like that as you could be caught out like I was and fined for unregistered car ($550) as Lube Mobile's third party had not sent the certificate through claiming some sort of internet problem. I'm not sure as I cannot find the information but I think Lube Mobile's mechanics are "contractors" not employees so there is an incentive there to get you to have more and more work done. Also furious the first time I used them as the mechanic left a battery lead loose so the car keep conking out over a month at the worst times. Fortunately an honest electrical mechanic only charged an agreed call out fee of $100 to point out this simple mistake. Never again.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
An example of excellence
Most professional, skillful and efficient mechanic I have ever seen, did difficult job quickly and very economically. Car would not start tried jump starting to no avail, usual mechanic closed for holidays so called Lube
Mobile, mechanic found key was missing a tiny part from inside it, he located part on floor of car and fixed it, very impressive

Talked to the right guy
Despite being a little late due to being on a prior job, I was professionally guided through the must-do tasks with a Land Rover experienced mechanic. Nick arrived 4 hours after I booked a service with Lube Mobile and went through everything. Decided to have 2 extra jobs (replace the coolant plus flush the brake oil and the 4 calipers) and it still cost me less than a standard service quoted somewhere else. He was not pushy and explained clearly what the car needed. Highly recommend!

XMAS present-breakdown
my BMW Alternator died during the busiest period of the year and within the next day i was able to book for a representative from Lube Mobile to come and change out and replace our Alternator within the next day. No fuss and bother and the mechanic was very kind and willing to answer any queries.

Questions & Answers
Sunny G.asked
I booked in for fuel pump replacement, gave details of the car and everything, got the quote of $825,next day mechanic turn up and say we do not have the same fuel pump but have the other one cost about $1500 . And charge me $140 for just turning up to say that.
My concern is if you have the details, have the vin number. Why cant you tell the changes of price over the phone so we can make up our mind the same time. Why should you send the mechanic to say that..
1 answer
hi sunny they, should stick to their quote of $825.00, they should not charge you that $140.00, looks to me office error, they should of known this, and they should of asked the mechanics who do the jobs again sort it out with their office, also get another quote from another mobile mechanic and if you have time, look on line and buy the part/part with kits yourself and ask them to do labour only, that's your call, I find them easy to get along with, again talk to their office staff/manager/supervisor, I have no issues with them, I give them 10 out of 10 with efficiency, on time, value for money, do not rip you off as a lot off competition out their, reliable, neatness, polite, been around awhile, I have used them for about on and off 12 years, I hope this helps you sunny, regards steven, tuesday 5/may/2020, 11.00 am, morning

Some of these glowing reviews read like advertisements and just don;t ring true. When people get a good service they tend NOT to write reviews- the one son here just seem too damned false.

Hi Sam, you are right. It usually does not seem true but this one is. Same day service, 2 hours+ on the job with full explanations along the way. The mechanic Lube Mobile sent me -Nick- is a European car specialist and was able to answer all questions without hiding the potential costs and issues. I really liked the fact that I got a quote through their online chat but the final decision of what to include in the service was made by me with the mechanic after full inspection and a test drive. In this case, the review was totally deserved and I will call on Nick again, especially as we are planning a trip to the Kimberley mid-year.
No Sam genuine comments best service I have ever had
I'm not denying people have had good service from Lubemobile or ALL reviews are false. Just some sound too exalted!. I've used Lube Mobile 5 times and it's been a bloody expensive exercise. The last time I was quote d$600 to replace some things and they wanted cash to go off a buy them and return the next day. I took my car to my local mechanic in Surry Hills who I know is always right (but expensive) and he said it was a totally wrong diagnosis and he fixed it foe under $400. The very first time I used Lubemobile they left a battery lead barely attached which caused major headaches with the car going dead at traffic lights etc. An honest electrical mechanic pointed it out for a n agreed turnout fee of $100. I've said previously- Lube Mobile DO NOT do roadworthy certificates themselves but they state they do. This is false advertising. They may inspect your car or take it to another garage but they DO NOT issue certificates themselves so you cannot eb sure the RTA will receive that certificate and a day's delay by whatever third party Lubemobile used cost me a $550 fine when i thought the certificate had been sent to the RTA. Hence my complaint to Fair Trading. I would NEVER allow myself to be in the hands of a mechanic who has you over a barrel now when your car breaks down and you are stuck somewhere. Peace of mind with the NRMA so you can have your car towed at minimal cost to your mechanic of choice. I'd rather hire a car for a few days as I reckon it's cheaper in the long run.
