Why do we have to wait 3 days for a reply from you? Is this what you consider good service? I have emailed twice, rang you twice, tried to contact through the app and now using this. Either employ more people to ensure prompt service or limit your customers. Your service is wanting

Thank you for reaching out. At this point in time, we don't have a specific date planned however it is high on our priority for 2020 to make it to the West. Watch this space :) We will pass this on to our logistics team so they know where to head.

Just wondering when did Marley Spoon start charging delivery.
I don't need to do an order every week so it's been about a month since i had last ordered and was surprised when seeing that a higher amount than usual had been taken out of my account.
After checking was surprised to see there was a delivery fee included.

Hi Naomi,
Thanks for reaching out. We had a price re-structure come into play October 1st, 2022.
Since launching in Australia, 4years ago, the cost of fresh meat, vegetables, fruit and dairy have increased substantially. More recently, the harsh drought affecting our Australian farmers has meant that these costs have continued to climb to a point that is no longer sustainable for us to maintain our current pricing.
We are still wanting to live up to our values of working with Australia's best farmers and suppliers, which is why we adjusted prices.

Two weeks before this came into affect, there were 2 emails that were sent out to all our active/skipped customers to let them know what was happening. The second email was sent a few days later to those who hadn't opened the first email. I am happy to send those through, if you would like to view them. Please send through the best email if that is the case.

If you have any further questions or feedback, please feel welcome to reach out to our Customer Care team at [email protected]

Thank you,

Marley Spoon

Well worth it Nat as the servings are often big enough to get 3 meals from 1 recipe (depends on how big you like your meals) :)

We’ve found that another similar kind of service used a lot of plastic in all of their meal deliveries and I was wondering how you packaged food and if all the spices and condiments were wrapped in plastic?

Just like any other product I might be considering purchasing I would like to see what it looks like and be able to get an idea of how it compares to other potential competitors. Is there a way I can browse a few meal examples (even just the names of the meals or pictures) without having to pretend I am actually starting the buying process? I noticed that on the website there is no clickable option except "claim my offer" (after an explanation about an offer) and following that no option but choosing the size of the box you want, and then no option but to enter contact info before you can even see what a Marley Spoon meal might look like. I'd be inclined to not even browse further for lack of sufficient product information before being asked to commit to more than I'm ready for.

Hi Karen

Thanks for your question. We offer meal plans for 2 and 4 people and for one person households, we recommend ordering the 2 person box and cooking once but eating twice! A great way to get leftovers for lunch or dinner the next day.

Can I just order as I want without having a subscription?

1 answer

Marley S.Marley Spoon

Hey there!

We are a flexible subscription service which means you can pause or cancel your account to suit your lifestyle provided you allow 6-7 days notice of your next order. This notice period allows us to maintain less than 1% of food wasted throughout our process as we only order exactly what we need to deliver. You are able to skip orders up to 8 weeks in advance, so this allows you to pick and choose which weeks you would like to be delivered and which you would like to miss. If you'd like some assistance please get in touch with our Customer Care team on [email protected]!

Marley S.Marley Spoon

Hi there,

Thank you for your question! We can confirm that our chicken is Halal. Unfortunately for the rest of our meat we are not completely Halal certified. Some of our local farmers may be, but this is not across the board for all of our farmers and we are unable to make that commitment at this time. Stay tuned for updates on this matter, but you can rest assured all chicken used is Halal certified. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to get in touch on [email protected].

Happy Cooking,

Hi, I have just signed up, and haven’t had my first box yet, but looking at the recipes it seems the meals are really high in calories. I think dinners should be around 300-500 calories but most of yours seem to be 600- 800. That’s a lot for one meal, am I reading the nutritional information correctly?

All of our recipes show the macro’s and nutritional information clearly so you can take a look to see if they fit your specific needs.
The flexible subscription means you can take advantage of the convenience of Marley Spoon and still skip any weeks that don’t offer the recipes you need as per your personal nutritional requirements. Just always bear in mind orders need to be skipped 6-7 days prior to delivery due date.
