Terrible customer service!
I tried Marley Spoon because I saw a promotion for discounted boxes and thought that with the global pandemic, it would be a good time to try it.
The first box I was unable to pick recipes for my first box. I tried to call customer service but was not able to get through. I ended up emailing the same day I placed the order and they got back to me 2 days after I sent the email. They couldn't alter the box so they cancelled for that week so I could start the week after with recipes that I had chosen.

ceiving the box I realised I had too much food in the fridge and wanted to skip a box. I tried to call customer service but was not able to get through and the IVR said to email. I emailed to skip the order, as I thought it would be ok as it's in line with Marley Spoon's less waste philosopy. I was told by customer service that I can't skip it as it's within 7 days (I didn't even know I wanted to skip until received the box!) and to try to freeze the ingredients or ask a neighbour to keep the box in their fridge for me. I find this unacceptable during the global COVID19 pandemic and would rather risk going to the shops than continue my service!1 comment

Poor customer service and box didn't arrive
I have been a Marley Spoon customer for a few months now, and I am relying on it now more than ever. My box was due to arrive between midnight and 7am one Saturday. When I got up to collect it, it wasn't there. Due to the tracking in the app never working, I couldn't see whether it had been delivered or not, or when it wad due to come. I used the chat bot on the website and I was told that deliveries are running late so I waited. That night I emailed to ask where my box was as it hadn't arrived. Whilst waiting 4 days to hear back from customer service, I kept checking the Facebook page and there were numerous people commenting that their boxes also hadn't arrived (some for the 2nd and 3rd week in a row). The next day, marley spoon had deleted the comments, including mine, but left all the positive comments. Finally I was told by customer service that my box was "too damaged to be delivered" and I was given a refund. So you're saying that the 30+ people who were commenting on Facebook also had their boxes too damaged to be delivered? I am giving them one last chance this week and if there are any issues with my order again, I will be going back to hello fresh.1 comment

Wouldn’t recommend the customer service to anyone!
As much as Marley Spoon is convenient and fresh. The customer service is the worst! Reading other reviews where the Marley Spoon app automatically orders the next box and there’s nothing you can do about it. I thought I had cancelled my future orders completely. Wrong. They had only been skipped to a point and started ordering again on their own.
I contacted customer service to cancel my order and get a refund. They told me that I had the week before to cancel the order and after that their hands are tied. So there is still a whole other week...Read more

We have set up our subscription service so customers have the ability to skip weeks (if they go on holiday for example) as well as cancelling their orders altogether. Week two more mould on food and more slimy vegetables DISGUSTING
Week two deliveries I couldn’t get out of it because apparently you have to give them more than a weeks notice problem is my first every order was slimy and mouldy so I sent an email Friday got a response Tuesday evening and told I had to take the next order.

Stay away, bad service, misleading cheating
Stay away from this company unless you have studied very carefully about their subscription services, terms and conditions. Otherwise you will be charged weekly for the food you don’t want. They deliver to you what they want instead.

We are a subscription service, which means you will need to login to your account to edit and choose your recipes, skip orders, pause deliveries or cancel the account. Normally, for NSW, VIC and ACT deliveries, we require 6 days notice prior to the delivery date for order or address amendments. For SA, NT, TAS and QLD deliveries, we require 7 days notice prior to the delivery date for order or address amendments. In the current climate, we have increased this notice period by a day, as we accomodate more deliveries. Poor customer service and no delivery
My first ever box was not delivered. Was promised delivery the next day and that never came either. Unable to get in contact with anyone. Very frustrating as we were counting on these dinners for our family.

Poor customer service and bland food
Very disappointed with the whole process from the food arriving which we found bland and boring and incorrect information given by staff about cancelling. After I thought I was not getting anymore boxes I was sent a notification that one was being sent. I was going to be sent a meat box - I do not eat and had not ordered any meat products previously. The response when I said that I don’t eat meat so did not want this box was being told to give it to a neighbour! They have no phone number to call so was only sent back robot like responses via email and then just stopped responding to my messages and just sent the box anyway even though I contacted them 6 days before the box was to arrive. Do not use this company.

Very disappointed with customer service!!!
Hi, I’m very disappointed.
For some reason, the allergy details have been removed from my profile and my next delivery contains peanuts.
This was clearly stated when I signed for the initial offer with door to door representative.
And now I’m so disappointed of the customer service.
I explained my situation with wrong meal and my peanut allergy)I asked them nicely to find the right solution for me (meal replacement, refund or voucher, credit etc)
I just got the answer that it’s too late and they can’t do much!!!!

Poor customer service
Our meal box did not arrive and customer service is non existent. No one answering phone, a robot with automated answers online and no response to Emails.
This is very frustrating and disappointing.

Not worth it anymore
I found marley spoon worth the money when I first started. But since the price increase which also had a delivery fee added, before this was included in the price, I have found none of the recipes are worth the increase.
All the recipes have similar to past recipes and nothing about them have made be want to purchase anything since price hike.
I can understand needing to increase prices with the market costs but at least have more interesting meals that justify increase in general cost plus extra delivery.
Will most likely just delete my account instead of skipping everything soon.

Since launching in Australia, the cost of fresh meat, vegetables, fruit and dairy have increased substantially. More recently, the harsh drought / fires affecting our Australian farmers has meant that these costs have continued to climb to a point that is no longer sustainable for us to maintain our current pricing. Long time customer. Delivery has gone downhill.
Im a long time customer and I have to say that I am deeply disappointed in the courier service lately. Im not sure what has changed lately but things have sadly gone downhill.
In the last month or so I have had 2 failed deliveries. One clearly delivered to the wrong address and another one delivered hours outside of the agreed timeslot. Although credits were offered, thats not the point. I use you guys not for the cost but for the convenience. I you can't deliver on convenience then what is the point.
Its deeply disappointed given that I have been with Marley for years. I am now considering whether to try a competitor.

Still waiting - not impressed with customer service at all
Guess I'll be another person waiting for a refund on this - Just like I'm waiting for my delivery. No reply to emails & no answer when I call NSW number. The tracking function says my delivery due several hours ago, with no update.

Convenience is great
Having a break as I have had continuous issues with packaging that you keep saying you have addressed but not fixed.

2 Consecutive Weeks No Delivery
2 weeks with Marley Spoon received nothing. The company should seriously check their couriers. Cancelled my account and the company still owes me $150. The helpdesk is not helpful either, only said they would deliver next week.

After cancelling the service, the refund is still not received after 2 weeks. I’ve been told it would only take 5-10 days. I absolutely doubt you guys are serious about your business. Will have to call you guys again.

I have no comment on the food as I wouldn’t even try it now. Received first order and was left on grass. Due to condensation box became wet and when I opened the box had bugs in there. All the driver had to do was walk a few metres and leave at front door where there is concrete pavement. Unacceptable, unhygienic and will not use again

Makes life so much easier
So easy, takes the stress out of each nights dinner, it’s nice not having to go to the grocery store every night. so convenient best decision we ever made. Has made cooking fun again. Added bonus we have cut down our food waste.

Great service - delivery sometimes lets it down!
The delivery can be disappointing as the box has been left in the rain a couple of times when there's a covered area only a few feet away and the delivery windows are too big to work well for us.
The contents are not always fresh and sometimes packed without care so fresh ingredients can be damaged and bruised.
We're enjoying the new menu with healthy and a larger number of vege options and generally the meals are very tasty. It saves us from having to shop all the time and think about 'what are we gong to have for dinner'.
Thank you for the ongoing service. A couple of small improvements could make this the best service on the market!

Just wondering when did Marley Spoon start charging delivery.
I don't need to do an order every week so it's been about a month since i had last ordered and was surprised when seeing that a higher amount than usual had been taken out of my account.
After checking was surprised to see there was a delivery fee included.
